The library was nothing short of breathtaking. Pillars of what seemed to be quartz stretched across the room, with beautiful chandeliers hanging in between the endless shelves of books.
A beautiful golden librarian's desk was at the center, gleaming brightly.
"Let's ask where the books on monsters are," I suggested, pointing at the desk. Misty silently nodded.
After asking, we were shown a huge emerald bookcase section dedicated to books on monsters. We both chose books, and after reading a few chapters, learned more than what was probably the general knowledge.
"So," I said after about twenty-five minutes, "Did you know that they store the powers they steal in a special substance called pencuri?"
"Yep, and they extract powers by simply meeting one's eye. The only way it can be returned is by drinking the pencuri in the beast's blood, which no one has yet accomplished so it is still up for debate. It it theorized that when you drink it you receive all of the powers the monster stored, as well as a very rare power called kehidupan, which can be used to control humans. The only proof they have of all this was the fact that about 200 years ago, a brave man named Fatadan Dosen blinded one and drank its blood before shortly after receiving all element powers, which is called Pcaremits." Whoa, I thought as she finished, my book only had half of that. After stating my opinion, Mist replied simply, "I just have a way of sensing good factual books." She shrugged just as the bell for the next class rung. Health.
