Chapter 23: Skylar's POV
I sat, lost in thought, stroking Waffles. I missed being at a normal school, where there was Caitlyn and Anna and other people with normal names, and normal lifestyles . Even my name, I soon realized, had to do with the elements. Sure Misty had called me Sky my whole life, and I frequently called her Mist, but now I realized I was actually named after the sky. It was awesome being special and being able to blow some wind in other people's faces, but here, that's no great accomplishment, in fact, it's weak. I was sick of people looking at me like I was pathetic. Grabbing my helper, I sent a message to Mist.
Hey im going 2 training center, I typed, waiting patiently for a response.
K finishing up now c u there, she responded.
I clicked the training center button and opened the door. Walking over, a member of Thorn's bunch stepped in front of me.
"Remember me you pitiful weakling?" She asked. I was overcome with anger, but played it cool.
"Really? I thought you were smart enough to stop picking fights. Oh wait, that was a lie." I sighed. A few other Elementals stopped what they were doing to see the commotion. I then blew a very powerful gale (well, for me) at her feet, and the impact knocked her off them. I smirked in satisfaction.
"Next time, let's see who's really the weak one." I told her, and some nervous laughs came in our direction. The girl shot me a dirty you're dead look. A fire elemental walked up to me and whispered to me solemnly.
"You just dug your grave. Now let's see if you can get out of it." She nodded at me sincerely before going back to her fireplace. I had a feeling she was accurate, maybe too accurate.
