Chapter 12: Skylar's POV
"So," I asked when we reached our room, and all sat on the bottom bunk of the bunkbed on the right, "What was that?"
"Oh I'll tell you what that was. That was Miss Steam Parker, the worst girl in this place. She-" Misty cut Brooke off.
"I think Sky meant the standoff." She stated, and I nodded in appreciation.
"Oh," Brooke said in understanding, "Well a standoff, duh."
"I get that, but why did the standoff occur?" I asked.
"Well," Brooke started, "She's called Steam for a reason. If you get her mad-which happens quite easily and occurs quite frequently-she starts spouting out rude stuff and really knows how to hold a grudge, so even if you're a kind-hearted person and choose to forgive her, she'll never forgive you for the tiny thing you did wrong. She's also just a hateful person, and that's the reason we are enemies. I stood up for a girl named Rainy, and now Steam just well... hates me."
"Deep," was all Misty said. I giggled half-heartedly. I really couldn't believe that our friend from 3 minutes ago was now looked down upon.
"Poor girl," I said before receiving some weird looks.
"Did you mean 'poor victims' or...?" Brooke asked after a long silence.
"No. It's just... I don't know. I feel kinda bad for her."
"You mean... her victims?"
"No I mean Iggy."
"You mean...Iggy slash Steam's victims?" She asked. I face palmed.
"You know what?" Misty asked, shooting me a murderous look, "Sky and I are new here, how about you tell us about this place?"
"No problem. You might as well be educated up, your classes start on Monday, two days from now." Misty and I both spoke at the same time.
"Classes?" She asked.
"I can count too." I said, and she rolled her eyes. You stink at making friends, her eyes explained.
"Yep, classes," Brooke said, ignoring my retort, "Let me explain."
I made myself comfy on my bunkbed, as I assumed this would take a while.
