Chapter 9
"You make it sound like they are married." I joked and helped Lucas off of Sam's lap, and Dean thanked Mr. Kiel and lead us out.
"Okay we need to let the horses out, then we can get lunch at our house and possibly start packing our stuff." I said.
"That sounds like a good plan." Sam agreed getting into the car. We arrived at our house and Lucas and I did our chores while Sam and Dean watched helping as much as they could. Setting the horses out to the pasture we cleaned the stalls and refilled the water barrels. I had Sam and Dean go into the house and see if they could start to make something for everyone to eat while Lucas and I finished up our chores. Finishing I informed Lucas more of what would be happening over the next few weeks. Together we went back to the house and found Sam and Dean making hamburgers. After eating, Sam went and helped Lucas pack his things while Dean helped me. We found some boxes in the attic and started to pack our things. I packed one box with books, another with my trophies, and one with clothes that weren't at the Yankees. I stacked my desk utensils and put them in a pile. I grabbed my extra large duffel bag and set it on my desk. I figured that I would stay at the Yankees for the last night tonight then come back here and finish packing and stay till the funeral which was scheduled for the next week. Dean and I talked him sitting on my chair as I leaned against my wall sitting on my bed. It turns out that we love the same music, classic rock.
After a while we went and found Sam and Lucas tightly packing some of Lucas's books. Dean and I went downstairs in search of more boxes. Down in the basement we found some empty boxes and brought them upstairs giving some to Lucas and Sam while Dean went off to town to get some more boxes for our stuff. I packed the stack of desk supplies and other things on my desk and wrote in big letters WREN'S DESK then packed my photos and posters i had hanging around my room into another. I took the last empty box and took it to my moms room. I sat on her bed and looked around. I carefully packed the photos that were on her dresser, some of the jewelry, and the scrapbooks that she made every year. I started to take the boxes down to the garage and set them in there. Mom's black truck was parked over to one side. I placed the boxes on the other side of the garage. I brought all of the packed boxes down and stacked them in the garage after marking who they were.
I finished packing my boxes that I had and went back upstairs. Finding Dean I informed him that we were out of boxes so we ran to the local store and got a bunch of boxes that we would fill with our things. Returning we gave half of them to Lucas and the other half to my room. I found more things that I wanted to pack away then went to the living room and pack up those pictures and decor that I really liked into the boxes. I told Dean that we had a truck and he helped me by starting to pack the truck with our things. We loaded the Impala with somethings but not a lot for the moment. Around 7 we stopped and got something to eat before Sam and Dean dropped us back off at the Yankees house for our last night.
"Hi." I greeted coming in the door.
"Hi Wren," Jasmine said Lucas went up the stairs to the room after giving them each a hug.
"I just want to say thanks for housing me and Lucas for the past couple days. We are going back to sleeping at our house tomorrow."
"Oh, Wren. It's okay we had a lot of fun getting to be with you and Lucas. It gave us an excuse to practice sign language and not with each other about the kids." Jasmine said laughing slightly.
"Okay, um we will be staying till a few days after my mom's funeral so if there is a day that you want to come back and ride the horses before we leave, just tell me when you're coming."
