Chapter 34
"Well," Michael's voice sounded very close to Willow's face. "Finally, I thought you were dead!"
It took Willow moment to find her eyelids, and when she did, she was greeted by the sight of Michael's emerald eyes.
"Sleeping Beauty is finally awake." He said sarcastically. Willow frowned and tried to sit up, her vision darkened and she crashed back on the bed. Michael's arm went around her and helped her up. She clung to his chest while her vision went back to normal. As soon as it did, Michael let go of her.
She was in the same bleach-white room on a soft bed. The room was empty except for a table, the bed Willow was on, and Michael sitting in a chair next to her bed. "What happened?" She asked her voice just a croak from not having used it. "How long was I out?"
"About a two days." Michael replied. "We're glad your awake, one more day and you would've starved in your sleep."
Willow blinked a little and rubbed her face as he continued, "Once you passed out the battle raged. And soon, they just left."
"Just left?" Willow asked, clearing her dry throat.
"You're probably thirsty." Michael said, reaching under the bed for a pitcher full of water and a cup. He poured her a large cup and handed it to her. Willow gratefully took it and gulped all of it in seconds. "Yup, they just left." Michael said, answering Willow's previous question. "We're guessing they were looking for something and when they didn't find it, they left."
"What were they looking for?"
Michael rolled his eyes, "Willow, if I knew, wouldn't I of told you?"
Willow rolled her eyes right back, "Leave me alone. I was in a coma." He smirked but didn't push the subject. Chelsea entered and she looked at Willow in relief.
"Oh, good." She huffed. "You're not dead."
"I'm not dead." Willow replied confidently.
She handed Willow a square thing wrapped in a napkin. Willow opened it up to see a piece of bread with what looked like jam. "Elanora said not to give you too much food once you've woken up."
Willow nodded and took a bite of the bread. The spreading was sweet and thick and better than jam. She ate the rest of the bread in minutes. Michael laughed at her swiftness, "You were hungry." Willow smiled a little but didn't respond.
"I guess it is time to go home." Chelsea replied.

Once they had portaled home, Willow went straight to her bedroom. In the bathroom, she stripped and looked at her injuries.
The Elves were good healers, Alicia had told her so in one of her lessons. She was right, of course. Her hands were scar less, her back a few mild scar lines, but nothing noticeable. Her arm where the monster had dug his nails in barely had any trace it ever happened. Willow looked at her face, no scars either. She seemed much less shallower than she had when she first came here. And looking at her body, she barely recognized it. It wasn't the skinny, weak girl's body Willow was. Sighing in content, she turned on the hot water and washed her body.
Once she was out, she put on a random outfit from her closet and exited her bedroom. She found Alicia first in the weapons room examining a blade. "What's up?"
Alicia looked up, "Nothing much. Want to help me?"
Willow walked up to her, "With what?"
"Sharpening blades." She replied. She put the blade back where it was and put her brown hair up in a neat bun. "Chelsea's supposed to do it but...er...she isn't feeling well." Alicia whispered the last part before grabbing a blade and putting on the table. Willow guessed it was her blade and grabbed it.
"NO!" Alicia yelled, but it was too late, she had already taken it. She froze for half a second, wondering why Alicia was looking at her in horror.
It was then Willow realized she was holding a Ganash Blade.
She waited for the blazing pain to come and burn her hand off.
