The party
"Please, please, please." Gee begged, making me groan at the blue-haired girl that was my best friend.
"Gee, I really don't know. I'm not sure how comfortable I'm going to feel partying with a load of big-shot Youtubers." I sighed.
"Oh, come on, Y/N, it won't be like that. You've been watching the boys' YouTube channels for years, you know that they're super chill. That goes for our parties too." She reassured. I looked at her.
"Anyway, it'll be the perfect chance for you to finally meet Will. He's desperate to meet you, you know." She chuckled. My eyes widened slightly.
"Why is he desperate to meet me? Lad doesn't know me." I scoffed.
"He wants to, though. Apparently being a Geordie alone is enough for you to already be mates in his eyes." She smiled. I sighed, though trying not to also smile as I thought about meeting him. Despite the fact that I had known Gee for a number of years now, because of how introverted and quiet I was, I had been resistant to meeting all of her Youtuber friends. Until now, when she was forcing me to. But even I had to admit that Will was a very attractive guy, so much so that I'd even admit to myself that I had a little crush on him. I looked at Gee, her raised eyebrows and bit lip telling me that she was waiting for a response.
"Fine, I'll go to the stupid party." I gave in, laughing as she squealed and hugged me tightly.
"Thank you, you won't regret this! I'll make sure of it." She smirked. My eyes widened slightly.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean, Gee?" I scoffed.
"Don't worry about that. Come on, let's get ready, George and Alex said that they're starting at nine and Will said that he'd meet us there." She spoke as she stood up and took my hand as she did, pulling me up with her.
"Don't YouTubers have notoriously flexible schedules?" I teased.
"Stop raining on my parade." She scolded, making me smile and shake my head as we passed Will's room and headed into Gee's.
Gee and I walked along the corridor to George and Alex's flat, my heart in my throat as we approached the white door. I gulped harshly, nervously pulling the skirt of my bodycon dress down ever so slightly in a weak attempt to feel less insecure in the outfit that I was in. Gee had made a concerted effort to not only reassure me that I looked incredible, but also that Will would agree, that fact being the sole one that had forced me out of the flat in what I was wearing.
"You ready?" Gee asked as she knocked on the door a couple of times.
"Do I have a choice?" I sighed.
"Nope." She smiled, making me playfully roll my eyes at her as the door opened to reveal a boy that I didn't recognise. I could only assume that this, was George.
"Gee, hey, great to see you." He chuckled as he leant in and hugged my best friend before looking at me.
"You must be Y/N." he smiled.
"And you're George?" I returned.
"Yup. Congrats, you're now officially part of the very exclusive group of people who know what I look like." He teased as he stepped to the side, allowing Gee and I to enter the apartment.
"I feel honoured." I chuckled as we walked into the living room to see Alex, James, Mia and Aria. Yet still no Will.
"Guys, I'd like everyone to meet my best friend, Y/N." Gee introduced me. They all smiled at me and murmured their respective "nice to meet you" sentences as I sat down on the sofa with Gee.
"See, you're already coming out of your shell." She smiled.
"Are you forgetting the two shots that I did before we came here?" I joked, making her chuckle and shake her head.
"I'm going to the bathroom." I nodded, Gee returning it and giving me a reassuring smile as I stood up and started to head down the hallway. I gulped, the nerves still present in my stomach as I looked down and started to pick at my black nail polish. Yet another nervous habit that I'd picked up along the way. Suddenly, I bumped into a strong chest, making me squeal as the owner's arms quickly wrapped around my waist to stop me from falling.
"You alright there, lass?" I gulped, the Geordie accent telling me exactly who I had just run into. And who had just caught me. I looked up, my eyes widening slightly as Will looked down at me with a kind smile on his lips.
"Well, you're a new face." he chuckled. I opened my mouth to speak but paused, not completely sure of how to respond.
"You're not." I replied, immediately mentally kicking myself for the fucking lame words that I'd just uttered. Will's eyes widened slightly, as did his smile.
"Aw, you must be Y/N! I'd recognise a fellow Geordie accent anywhere!" He laughed.
"Y-yeah, that's me. It's great to meet you, I've been watching your videos for a while now." I admitted.
"Aw, aren't you cute?" his smile widened. I couldn't help but blush, my lips also curling at the boy's kind words.
"S-sorry, Will, but I was actually on my way to the loo when we...collided." I chuckled nervously.
"Ah, okay, no bother, see ya in the living room." He spoke, giving me another kind smile as he moved past me and headed into the rest of the apartment. I bit my lip, nervousness being swallowed by butterflies as I headed into the bathroom.
I sat next to Gee, slowly but surely loosening up as the group played drinking games.
"Mia, truth or dare?" George nodded.
"Go on, dare." She smiled.
"Um...kiss every girl in the room, obviously provided that every girl is okay with that." He dared her.
"Nice consent plug there, George." Aria chuckled, making George smile and wink.
"You girls alright with this?" Mia asked, all of us nodding. She returned it before turning to Aria and gently pecking her lips before standing up and kissing Gee before leaning down and kissing me last.
"Pick a hard one next time, yeah?" she chuckled, making the boys raise their eyebrows and look at each other.
"Right then." Will chuckled.
"Will, your turn. Truth or dare?" Gee asked. He looked at us, his eyes flicking briefly to me.
"Let's have a truth." He nodded. Gee's lips curled into a smirk, making me gulp as I could tell that she had something up her sleeve.
"How many people in this room would you sleep with slash have a romantic relationship with?" she asked. Will's eyes widened slightly, his lips breaking into a nervous laugh.
"This is a fun question, like." He smiled, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he downed the shot in front of him. I forced the smile to stay on my lips, my nerves immediately returning. I knew that Will and Mia had dated in the past but had broken up half a year ago, meaning that if he said that he'd only sleep with one person, it was safe to assume that he meant her.
"Go on, Will, answer." Alex smirked. Will chuckled and shook his head, his eyes subtly and briefly flicking to me as he gulped.
"One." He admitted, his eyes once again subtly flicking to me. My eyes wavered and I gulped, fighting desperately to act surprised like the others were, when in fact my heart was breaking. Of course he still wanted to get with Mia, she was the whole package. She was everything that I wasn't. Beautiful, slim, funny, confident. I couldn't at all blame Will, but it still hurt like hell.
"And who might that one person be, William?" Aria chuckled.
"Aye, nah, nice try, lass, but I'm not that drunk." He scoffed, making everyone laugh as he downed another shot before subtly looking at me timidly.
~The next morning~
Nausea swept through my stomach, making me groan loudly as I was pulled out of the grasp of sleep and pulled into the painful grasp of a hangover. I rolled onto my side, desperate to get away from the sun that streamed into Gee's bedroom. I opened my eyes and sighed as Gee lay next to me, still fast asleep. Better not wake her, I thought as I stumbled up from the bed and grabbed a random black hoodie from her chair before putting it on. I opened her door and yawned, rubbing my eyes as I walked into the kitchen part of Gee and Will's flat.
"Mornin', sunshine." My eyes widened, my heart starting to speed up as the boy's Geordie voice filled my ears. I sighed, forcing a smile onto my lips as I turned around and looked at the smiling lad, who was sat on the sofa in the living room part of the space.
"Morning, Will." I chuckled.
"I finished the potted coffee, so you can have a sip of mine if you want." He nodded. I gave him a thanking smile as I walked around the kitchen counter and towards the sofa. Will's eyebrows furrowed as he saw what I was wearing.
"Y/N, lass, are you...wearing my merch?" he smirked. My eyes widened as I sat down, and I looked down to see the words "Your Mother" plastered across the chest of the hoodie.
"It was the first thing in Gee's room that I grabbed." I chuckled.
"Aye, sure." He smirked, making me roll my eyes playfully as he handed me his mug and I took a sip of the hot coffee.
"So, did you have fun meeting the gang last night? You left a bit earlier than everyone else." He nodded as he looked at me and gently put his hand on my knee. I couldn't help but smile at the contact as I looked down.
"Yeah, no, I had fun, it's just that I'm quite introverted, so whilst I had fun, when enough is enough, it really is enough." I chuckled.
"Aye, I get ya." He replied, giving me a warm smile. I returned it before it dipped, nerves filling me again as I remembered the events of last night. When Will had said that he'd only sleep with one person in the room. That one person, I could only assume was Mia. But I had to know for sure, because apparently, I hated myself enough to break my own heart even more.
"Will, can I ask you something about last night?" I asked, reluctantly raising my head to look at him again.
"Sure, what's on your mind, lass?" he asked. I gulped, trying my best to swallow my nerves as I looked into his stunning blue eyes.
"U-um...last night, w-when Gee asked if you'd sleep with, or would have a romantic relationship with anyone in the room, you said that you'd sleep with one person." I stated. Will looked at me, a sigh leaving his lips and his Adam's apple bobbing.
"Right, confession time-."
"You meant Mia, right?" I cut him off. His eyes immediately widened and he turned his body to face me.
"What?" he scoffed, looking at me with wide eyes.
"You meant that Mia was the one person that you'd sleep with or would have a relationship with." I reiterated. He just stared at me, his mouth hanging open and his shocked expression telling me that for some reason, he was stunned by my answer.
"No." he scoffed and shook his head. I looked at him.
"B-but...you guys used to go out." I gulped.
"Aye, used to. There's a reason as to why we're not still going out, like." He replied. My eyes widened, my heart still in my throat as I tried to work out who else he could have possibly meant.
"Who were you talking about then, Will?" I scoffed. He sighed, his head dropping as he rubbed his hands over his face.
"Jesus fucking Christ, fate has a fucked up way of making things happen, like." He mumbled into his hands before looking back up at me.
"You, Y/N. I was talking about you." He admitted. My eyes widened, my heart stopping as he uttered those simple words.
"Y-you meant...me? You'd sleep with...or have a relationship with...me?" I whispered. He sighed and nodded, closing his eyes as he did.
"Aye, lass. I would. Obviously, I'd ask you out before sleeping with yis, for the sake of being a gentleman, but...yeah." He chuckled and nodded.
"B-but, I'm just me. I'm insignificant, why would you like me?" I scoffed quietly. Will's smile dropped as he shuffled closer to me on the sofa.
"Ey, ey, stop, what are you on about? You're perfect in every way, mate. You're kind, you're gentle, you're sweet, not to mention how absolutely stunnin' you are." He smiled and shook his head. I couldn't help but return it as I looked down to try and hide my blush.
"Why wouldn't I want to be with you?" he spoke as he rose his hand to my face and gently stroked my cheek. I looked back up at him, my lips permanently in a smile as we looked at each other. I stared into his eyes, my heart speeding up again as Will started to lean in. My eyes fluttered shut, the boy's hand still on my cheek as he leant in and pressed our lips together. I returned it immediately, holding his face as he pulled me closer. Will broke the kiss and touched our foreheads as our eyes fluttered open.
"So, Y/N, will you be my girlfriend?" he whispered. I nodded and bit my lip, making Will's smile widen as he joined our lips again.
