"Are you sure that Gee isn't in? And that the boys aren't coming over for another hour?" I asked my best friend, Will, as he let us into his apartment.

"Why? You ashamed of being seen with is, like?" he teased. I rolled my eyes and looked at him.

"Last time I checked, it was the other way around, lad." I nodded as I hung my arms over his shoulders and his hands landed on my waist.

"I'm not ashamed of ya, lass, I just don't think that our friends would agree with our...situation." He shrugged as he looked down at me. I raised my eyebrow and tried not to smirk.

"You mean that you don't think that they'd agree with us being friends with benefits." I stated.

"Aye. Don't think there's any harm in wanting to keep it a secret because of that." He nodded. I rolled my eyes but leant up anyway, Will meeting me halfway to join our lips. He returned the kiss, his hands moving to the small of my back and pulling me further against his body. I couldn't help but smirk against the boy's lips as he deepened the kiss and got rid of any remaining space between us. Suddenly, Will lifted me up slightly, his arms still wrapped tightly around my body as he lifted me up. I took the hint and wrapped my legs around his waist, making his smirk widen as he carried me to his bedroom and shut the door behind us with his foot.

"Don't go, man." Will groaned, lying in his bed with his sheets covering his naked body as I sat up and started to put my underwear on.

"I have to if I'm going to get out on time. You're the one who doesn't want the rest of the group to know about us." I chuckled.

"You could stay here until I've done the Eboys video, and then we can do again what we just did." He smirked as he scooted forward on the bed and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, his lips leaning down to gently kiss my neck. I scoffed and looked at him.

"You're not the only one with shit to film today, lad." I spoke as I stood up and pulled the rest of my clothes on.

"Fair enough." He chuckled. I bit my lip and looked back at him. I couldn't help but smile as I stared down at the boy that I was in love with, a feeling that I disguised with pretending to be okay with the fact that we had sex and had no other aspects of a real relationship. But in reality, a real relationship with the Geordie boy was all that I wanted. I knew that he didn't feel the same, though.

"I'll see you later, yeah?" I asked.

"Aye. I'll walk ya out." He nodded as he pulled his boxers and joggers on before standing up. I opened his bedroom door but immediately my eyes widened as I heard talking. I shut the door again and looked at Will, making his eyebrows furrow.

"What's wrong, lass?" he asked as he stood up.

"The boys are here, early." I sighed. His eyes widened.

"Aw, shit. There's no way you'll be able to get out without that lot noticing, like." He groaned. I looked at him.

"If I can't sneak out, we need to just face them, Will. They're our best friends, they're bound to find out one night when one of us gets too drunk and says something. May as well get it over and done with." I shrugged. He sighed and hung his head for a moment before looking at me and nodding.

"Fuck it, let's go." He nodded. I returned it before opening the door and walking out. I gulped, nervously fiddling with my fingers as Will and I walked into the living room, and into the view of the boys.

"Oh, hey, Y/N, what are you doing here?" Alex smiled.

"That's such a funny question, isn't it?" I chuckled. The boys' eyebrows furrowed and they looked at each other.

"Not really, no." George shook his head. I smiled sheepishly as Will walked into the view of the boys with the same expression on his face as I had. The boys all stared at him, their eyes slowly widening.

"You two didn't just have sex..." James mumbled.

"Um, aye, lad, we did." Will nodded.

"WHAT?!" Alex exclaimed as George and James burst into laughter.

"So, you two are, like, a thing now?" James laughed. Will and I looked at each other.

"Not exactly, no." I shook my head. The boys' eyes widened further.

"You two are friends with benefits?! What the actual fuck?!" George exclaimed.

"Alright, lads, I think that that's my cue to leave." I chuckled.

"Aye, lass, good idea." Will nodded.

"Enjoy filming the video, guys." I smiled at them, waving my hand as Will started to walk me to his door with his hand on the small of my back.

"See you later, Y/N!" James called after me, Alex and George saying the same. I opened Will's front door and bit my lip as I looked at him.

"I'll see you later, yeah?" I chuckled. He nodded and gave me a smile before leaning down and gently kissing me.

"See you later." He spoke, giving my head one last kiss and making me smile as I left his apartment.

Will's P.O.V

"Don't go, man." Will groaned, lying in his bed with his sheets covering his naked body as Y/N sat up and started to put her underwear on.

Will couldn't help but feel nothing but love for the girl stood in front of him, his heart always at its happiest when he was with her. But the one issue with the pair being friends with benefits was that the sex outside of a relationship was now too normal for Will to ask Y/N for more without it being weird. They knew that they could survive as friends whilst hooking up, so why would she say yes to being his girlfriend? After all, he was in love with the Geordie lass, but he knew that she didn't feel the same.

He was in no way ashamed of the boys knowing that he was sleeping with Y/N, the issue came with the fact that they knew that he was hopelessly in love with her and so that was something they could blurt out at any given moment. Especially a moment after the couple had just revealed that they were having sex with each other.

"That's such a funny question, isn't it?" Y/N chuckled. There was a pause and Will could only picture the look of confusion that would be plastered on the faces of their three best mates.

"Not really, no." George shook his head. Will figured that it was time to expose himself, a sheepish smile on his lips to match Y/N's expression as he walked into the view of the boys. The boys all stared at him, their eyes slowly widening.

"You two didn't just have sex..." James mumbled.

"Um, aye, lad, we did." Will nodded, his heart starting to speed up at the idea of the boys accidentally exposing his real feelings for Y/N to her.

"WHAT?!" Alex exclaimed as George and James burst into laughter.

"So, you two are, like, a thing now?" James laughed. Will looked at the small lass, her returning the gaze.

"Not exactly, no." Y/N shook her head, her mind completely unaware of how much Will wanted to change that fact. The boys' eyes widened further.

"You two are friends with benefits?! What the actual fuck?!" George exclaimed.

"Alright, lads, I think that that's my cue to leave." She chuckled.

"Aye, lass, good idea." Will nodded.

"See you later." He spoke, giving the girl's head one last kiss and making her smile as she left his apartment. Will leant against the doorframe, contently watching the girl that he was in love with walk away from his flat. Finally, he shut the door and sighed, knowing what he would face once he headed back to the boys in the living room. He walked in and immediately the boys started cheering, making him laugh and jokingly bow before slumping down onto the sofa next to George.

"He did it, lads! He finally shagged the love of his life!" Alex exclaimed, the other boys laughing as Will smirked and shook his head.

"How did that even happen?" James chuckled. Will shrugged and looked at them.

"One of our nights out about a month ago. Both of us were absolutely shit-faced, but it just felt right. So, I kissed her. She kissed back, one thing led to another, and well, we've been seeing each other steadily ever since." He nodded.

"Okay but the thing that confuses me is how that's equated to just friends with benefits, and not a full-blown relationship. I thought that you loved her." George stated. Will's smile dipped and he sighed as he looked down.

"Aye. I do." He nodded. The boys looked at each other.

"I see what's happened there. You not considered asking her out properly?" James asked.

"Course I have, but we've proven that we can still be friends whilst shagging, so I'd rather be shagging her and just be friends than ask her out, be told that she doesn't feel the same way and then lose her as a friend too. Of course I want more, but I can't risk it." He shook his head as he looked at the boys, making them sigh.

"I'm sorry, mate." Alex sighed.

"It is what it is. I want more, she doesn't. I have to live with that." He spoke, his eyes wavering at the thought. He sighed and looked down, his heart breaking still at the fact that he'd only ever be friends with benefits with the love of his life. When all he wanted was more.
