Hiccup
"Lets run for it in 3, 2, 1!" I said as I grabbed Astrids hand. We ran to my hut and Astrid sat down, so I started a fire and walked over to Astrid.
"What should we do now?" She asks. I could tell that this stressed her out. Astrid does not like to be rushed, to be expected to do something in a little amount of time.
"I have, no idea." I say. Astrid sighs, and I kiss her softly. "Wanna go camping with the gang?"
She smiles. "We haven't been camping as a gang since when we lived at the Edge! I'll go pack my stuff." she run out. I knew she would like it. I ran to Fishlegs, Snotlout, and the twins huts and they all agreed to go. About an hour later we all met at the forest, and Astrid was smiling. The beautiful smile that any viking would love. Her smile lit up the world.
We start hiking into the forest, and down a steep hill. I picked this spot for a reason. This is the spot where Toothless bonded with the Light fury. Where he drew her a picture, like I did to befriend him. Nobody knew why I picked this spot, nobody even knew this is where Toothless and the Light Fury bonded.
We set out our pillows and mats and the twins go fishing, Snotlout and Fishlegs start fighting over who gets to sleep under the tree and who doesn't. Astrid was laughing at them because they sounded pretty ridiculous. It was just like when we were younger.
The twins haven't really changed, they are still their old idiotic selves. Snotlout is still trying to impress everybody. He not as mean as he used to be though, and that's good. Fishlegs is still a nerd. He keeps his dragon cards in a box with Meatlug's other belongings. He has started researching plants and started making pant cards so that will be quite interesting. Astrid has changed a lot. After I met Toothless we became friends. Over the years she's become stronger, more fearless, more beautiful. and then there's me. I'm still scrawny and weird, as always. But now I'm a chief.
I snap out of my thoughts as Astrid sits down with me.
"Watcha thinking about babe?" she asks as lays her head on my shoulder.
"Ah, just thinking about how everybody has changed. It's crazy how many years have gone by." I said as I kissed her.
She smiles and whispers something in my ear.
"Snotlout still loves your mom. That hasn't changed for like 4 years."
I reach out to grab her but before I can she runs.
"You wanna tickle me, you have to catch me first." she says as she bolts down the beach.
I jump up and sprint after her, only to lose her after a minute. I look around, and spot her jumping in the lake. I jump in after her, and follows her as she swims to a sand bar in the middle.
"You caught me!" she yells and looks at herself. "I'm soaked."
I laugh as I look over and see the twins trying to swim out too, only to be pushed back by a small current.
"We should go get dinner." I say as I kiss her cheek.
"More swimming I guess." she says as she gets ready to jump in.
I smile. "Want a head start?" I ask. She nods. I pick her up and throw her in, me jumping in not long after. She's laughing and I'm laughing. Everybody soon joins in. Throwing each other into the lake and splashing (Tuffnut literally drowning).
After about an hour it starts to get dark, so everyone huddled around a bonfire that we all put in a bit of work to make. Once it got pitch black everyone went to bed.
"Good night Hiccup." Astrid said as she kissed me on the lips.
"Goodnight Astrid, love you." I say, as I close my eyes to the most wonderful night I've ever had so far in my life.
