WYLMB Chapter #3

"Hey babe," he said while a smirk tugged on his lips...

His lips...

Omg Jess focus! You are in a major crisis and you are focusing on his lips?!

But girl, I've got to admit, but his lips are to die for.

"So what do you say, about my proposal I've given just now? Take it or leave it?" asked Sam, as he flipped through the pages of my Jake notebook nonchalantly.

Sigh! This mental debate! It's killing me!

"I... I..."

"So? Silence means consent?"

"Umm..."

"Oh come on! It's not like it will kill you! I promise it's gonna be fun!"

"Fine! Ok ok, I will do it alright?" I said as turned my back to leave.

"Hey wait up Jess, since you agreed to do this whole 'role-playing' thing, I suggest that we start practising... Now."

And as soon as he said that, a large hand wraps itself around my hips.

Oh wait, you guys may still be confused about what is going on now. So let me do a little recount of what happened in the last 15 minutes.

-FLASHBACK-

"So... I see that our big girl here has a crush on Jake, huh?" Sam said as he reads through my Jake notebook while smirking.

That smirk. It annoys me.

"Please do not tell anyone... I am begging you now," Oh my when have I ever became anymore pathetic?

I never beg others, it is usually others begging me.

"Well, I will have to consider about that... And wow? You saw him at the supermarket buying fish and you stared at him for 3.5 seconds? How could you be so sure?"

Ugh, this guy is annoying me...

"And he brushed past you once while you were at your locker?"

This guy is making me rage...

"And you..."

And that's why people, this is why you never want me to be mad.

"You know what Sam? Tell him all you want! The last thing I will ever do is to care about your actions! And maybe when he knows that I like him he will like me back!"

Oops. That was unintentional.

"Ohh, so you wanna make him like you? Don't you little girl?"

He says as he walks closer to me.

"And I got a plan to make him act just that way..."

I backed myself until my back hit against a wall.

"You want."

He places both his hands beside my head.

Breathe Jess breathe! Focus!

But girl does this boy smell good!

Now, despite my current situation, I took my time to study his facial features. Tall nose, piercing blue eyes, wavy brunette hair, long eyelashes and well, kissable lips.

The only thing that he was lacking is freckles.

Jake has cute freckles scattered on his cheeks.

Tell me why I am comparing him to Jake again?

Just as I was about to focus my attention on something else, he caught me staring at him.

Oh no, I've got a bad feeling about this.

"Checking me out already babe?" And there it is, that smirk again.

"Well... I..."

"Pretend," he whispered to my ear, "to be my girlfriend." He continued, as his minty breath fan across my face, sending shivers and tingles down my spine.

What?!

As if reading my inner thoughts, he replied, "I said, be my girlfriend. But we are only pretending to be a couple. This way you will get to hang out with us more often. And when I say us, I am including Jake in it."

Well, tempting...

And with that, he pushed himself off me.

And just in a matter of a few seconds, the warmth that we shared earlier on dispersed into thin air.

I instantly felt cold all again without the warmth.

Hey! Come back, dude!

Is it wrong that I am missing the feeling of him pressed against my skin and sharing the same air already?

I hope not.

Because I can't and will not let that happen.

Hopefully.

-PRESENT-

Well, and here we are people! Meet my first and ever 'boyfriend' I have ever had in my life.

And he was not going to be serious about this relationship.

But on a brighter note, I am going to have more encounters with Jake, and hopefully, he will notice me more often.

And let this roller coaster ride begin!!

And hopefully, everything will turn out just fine...
