When I got to English class I took my usual seat next to Kenna. I was so happy it was the the last class of the day. The teacher Mrs. Russo started writing on the board. "Alright class I am assigning a group project that will also be your senior project for the end of the year, I will pick the partners and there will be no more than groups of two". We all groaned. I always hated group projects because I always did all the work unless I was with Kenna then I didn't mind. "So the partners are...." Kenna and I both crossed our fingers "Mike and Claire, Joe and Gracie, Kevin and Kenna..." I felt bad for Kenna. Kevin was on the football team with Luke and he was a jerk. Kenna was defiantly doing all the work on this project. The teacher kept reading off the names and I zoned out a little. I zoned back in when I heard my name "Stefan and Luke and Cindy and Mark the project is due at the end of May. Have fun and be creative, there are no rules." Mrs. Russo kept on talking and writing on the board for the rest class and I couldn't pay attention. Finally the bell rang and I hurried out of there until I saw Kenna. "Hey, did you hear I got an A on my biology homework. That's great Kenna but I'm more concerned about me working with Luke for this senior project thing. Oh don't worry about that. trust me the 8 months will go by in a blink of an eye. Did you hear what you just said 8 moths Kenna 8 months I have to work with the man that I've had a crush on since the beginning of high school! I know Stef but hey maybe you'll make a new friend. Yeah...doubt it. Oh give him a chance. Fine I'll just try to act like I don't have a crush on him and I'll hide my feelings for him just like I've been doing for the past 4 years. See now that's the spirit!" I glared at her then started to walk home. This is gonna be the longest 8 months of my life.
