“Good morning, (Y/N)” (Friend name) greeted you in the hallway. “Hey.” You simply replied. Today is Valentines’ Day once again. Other girls and boys around you and your friend are all lovey-dovey. You could swear that there are floating hearts around them.

“Do you think someone’s going to give you chocolate or flowers?” your friend asked. You huffed before you answered. “Pfft! No!” Then you looked at your friend, smirking. “Are you expecting someone to give you one, hm?” your friend blushed. “N-No! Don’t go into conclusions, (Y/N)!” She said, pointing at you franticly. “Yeah, yeah whatever.”

The bell suddenly rang and you two went to your respective classes.

Later, recess…

“How did Math class go, (Y/N)?” your friend asked as you two walked to the cafeteria. “Don’t want to talk about it.” You growled under your breath.

“(Y/N)!!!!!!” Someone called out for you. You turned to see your Chinese friend, Yao Wang, running towards you. “Oh hey Yao, what’s up?” You blinked. You didn’t get any response as he ran closer to you.

He then kneeled down, standing in one knee, looking up to you and you failed to notice the pink hue forming on his face.

“Happy Valentines’ Day aru! Please accept my gift aru!” He said, handing you a stuff toy panda holding a heart saying ‘I Love You’.

The people around started murmuring and making lovey-dovey sounds or signs. You blushed red, embarrassed. You then grabbed the panda. “There! Stand up, you’re embarrassing me!” You yelled at him as he stood up.

“Xie xie, (Y/N) aru!” He said, hugging you, leaving you blushing on Yao’s shoulder. He then pulled away slightly to give you a quick kiss on the cheek “Wo Ai Ni, (Y/N) aru!” Then he ran away.

You looked at his retreating figure then you glared at the people around you, who were backing away. You then looked at your friend who had that smirk on her face. You blushed as you punched her arm. “Don’t give me that look.”

You then looked at the stuff toy panda. ‘Did he really mean it?’ you thought as your hand touched where he kissed you. You blushed harder as you grabbed your friend’s arm, taking her to the cafeteria.
