Mary-Anne p.o.v

"Mary-Anne wake up. We are hungry." This is what I wake up to in the morning. I groggily sit up on the bed and look at the faces of devil himself.

"Go and trouble mom." I tell them before lying down again. I close my eyes as the blanket of sleep falls warmly around me. But it doesn't last long. "Ummmphh!" All the air is knocked out of me as I feel a heavy weight.. No no.. Two heavy weights jumping on my back.

"Moms already gone out, she told us to wake you up..." One devil starts.

"...and ask you to prepare our breakfast and also to drop us at school." The other devil completes. I sigh and rub the sleep off my eyes.

"Did you finish brushing your teeth?" I ask them looking directly into their eyes.

"Yes." Both of them say, clearly lieing. I raise my right pointer finger and gesture the to come to me. Both of them visibly gulp but comply.

"Open your mouth." I order them.

"Why?" Both of them ask together.

"So that I can check. Now aah." I instruct the two. The two open their mouth for me. I inspect their mouth thoroughly. "Liars, you two clearly advent brushed. Do you know how badly your mouth stinks?" I ask them.

"Not yours does." Both of them say together laughing.

"Go brush your teeth and if you do I'll make you your favourite banana pancakes with jelly and maple syrup." I bribe them.

"Yay." The two devil's scream before heading out, I hope to brush their teeth. I get up as well tying my hair into a bun and head into the washroom to freshen up. After 15 minutes of shower I dress myself in jeans and Ramone's crop t-shirt and after blow drying my hair tie it up into a high ponytail.

I make my way downstairs to the kitchen but not before applying some mascara and liner. I pull out all the ingredients to prepare banana pancake.

"Ashton! Aaron! Get down here breakfast is almost ready and don't you dare come down here without brushing your teeth." I yell out loud so that the two devil's, my brother's can hear me. As I hear four set of footsteps padding down the stairs, I grab two plates and place a pancake on both and dress them in maple syrup, before turning around to place them on the dining table.

"Oh my!" I jump almost toppling the plates on the floor. There sitting between my two brothers was none other than the Devil himself, laughing at my state along with my brother's.

"Sorry didn't mean to scare you." He apologises.

"When did you get here? And how did you get in?" I ask him placing the two plates in front of my brother's.

"The door was open and you were too busy cooking to notice my presence." He answers. "And I'm hungry." He complains like a little kid.

"Yeah yeah." I sigh grabbing another plate and serving him a pancake with maple syrup. Thank God I made enough to satisfy a whole football team. I grab myself another plate and serve myself pancake and take a seat in front of my childhood bestfriend Leo Sawyer.

"Yum! As always your cooking is amazing." Leo compliments stuffing his face with the pancake.

"Thanks. Honestly though what the hell are you doing here? It's the first day of our senior year and you are here instead of I dunno flirting with freshmens." I ask him.

"What? I can't spend the first day of school of school with my best bud?" He asks faking innocence.

"Shut up I know you too well now spill." I order.

"Okay okay. My cars in the garage and Rose refuses to drive me to school so you are my ride." Leo admits.

"How did you get here if Rose wouldn't let you ride with her?" I ask him.

"Rose dropped me here and left for school." He replies. I sigh. Stupid Rose, just wait until I get my arms around you.

"We are done. Mary-Anne hurry up we are getting late." Ashton screams. I stuff my fave with food and soon all of us are done and I drop the plates into the sink and after grabbing my long black full sleeved cardigan, bag and car keys all of us head out to my car. Leo riding shotgun, and the twins in the back. I pull out of my driveway and Leo starts fiddling with my radio. Highway To Hell starts blaring loudly from the speakers. And to make matters worse the boys start singing it on top of their miserable voice.

After 20 minutes of torture I finally drop the kids off but little did I know that my torture was just beginning as Leo starts singing on top of his voice making up for the absence of my brother's. Another 10 minutes of torture we finally reach the school. I quickly park my car and head inside grabbing my bag and slinging it on my shoulder. Leo hot on my heels.

"Annie wait up." Leo yells trying to catch up to me. I increase my pace but he still manages to catch up to me. Damn his football playing physique.

"Didnt you hear me call you?" Leo nudges me with his shoulder.

"What? You called me? Huh? I didn't hear it at all. Maybe because someone was singing on top of their voice damaging my ear drums in my car." I glare at him.

"Okay okay I'm sorry. Now c'mon can't be late on our first day of senior year now can we?" Leo winks, grabbing my hand and dragging me with him. I try ignoring the tingles shooting up my arm from his touch or the fast beating of my heart.

"Annie." A voice screams bringing me out of my thoughts. I look up and at the same time mom engulfed into a tight unbreathable hug.

"Cant. Breathe." I manage to choke out.

"Oops sorry." Rose apologises releasing me from her death giving hug.

"Its. Okay. Just. You. Know. Need. To. Breathe. To. You. Know. Live." I pant, trying to get as much air into my lungs as possible.

"Ever the sarcastic." Rose rolls her eyes. "Here you go I bought you your schedule list and all your papers." Rose says handing me a bunch of papers.

"Thank you." I smile at her before checking my schedule.

"Oh look we have almost all the classes together accept for English and Physics." Leo points out.

"How nice." I groan. "Where is Kat?" I ask Rose.

"Where do you think? Late as usual." Rose answers.

"Oh yeah. Let me guess the queen of late is sleeping?" I ask her.

"Or maybe she is with her boyfriend." Leo chimes in.

"No she is most likely late." Rose interjects.

"Most likely." I agree with her.

"Oh look here she comes." Leo laughs. All of us turn around and sure enough Kat was struggling to make her way through the crowd towards us, tripping here and there.

"Hey guys. Sorry I'm late." She says bending down to catch some air.

"No problem. It's kind of expected of you. Here is your schedule and papers." Rose says adding her the papers as well.

"Thank you. You are the best." Kat says pulling Rose into a hug.

"I thought I was." A voice says pulling Kat away from Rose.

"You are and she is too." Kat smiles up at her boyfriend.

"Hey guys." Ryan greets all of us.

"Hey." We all greet him.

Briiiiinnnnggg!!!

The warning bell rings indicating that we all had 5 minutes to get to our classes.

"Leo." A female voice screams. All of us look to find none other than Rebecca Jones heading our way. Once close she jumps on top of Leo and pulls him into a hug.

"Hey Rebecca." Leo greets her returning her hug. I push the jealousy surging inside me down.

"Oh look its Ms. Cheese Dumb-Dumb." Kat smirks at her, I try hiding my smile too.

"You! Stop calling me that." Rebecca yells at Kat.

"Why? Oh cheese don't tell me its a secret? Oops looks like its out." Kat grins up at her.

"Shut up. Don't interrupt me and my boyfriend." Rebecca says making me freeze I shock.

"Boyfriend?" All of us accept Leo ask.

"Yup, boyfriend." Rebecca smirks victoriously at all of us. "We started dating this summer. Didn't we?" Rebecca nudges Leo.

"Uh... Yes?" Leo says scratching behind his neck. All of us look at the couple in shock none of believing what we just heard.

"Why didn't you tell us? We at your friends you should have told us at least. Are we not that important?" Rose accuses Leo.

"No it's not like that." Leo argues.

"Then what is it like? You should have told us. I mean really Leo the whole summer you were dating her and didn't deem it important to tell us." Kat retorts.

"Well it just happened so I didn't have the time to tell you guys." Leo argues. "I am very sorry guys. You know I would have told you guys if I could. Please forgive me this one time." He begs.

"Its okay. Better late than never." Rose smiles at him.

"I'm still mad but I guess I'm okay too." Kat says smiling at him.

"Annie?" Leo asks looking at me with his big blue-green eyes. Kat looks at me smiling encouragingly at me.

"I'm okay too I guess." I say, not meaning it.

"Now that its done, I can kiss my boyfriend finally." Rebecca says pulling Leo in for a kiss. As they kiss I feel a sharp pain shooting from my heart.

"I'm going to head to class first." I say softly and before anyone could say anything I walk away towards my class. My heart heavy with pain. That idiot! Stupid stupid idiot! Big fat baboon!

I don't pay attention to my surroundings and due to that crash into someone. I don't look at their face worried that they will be able to see my unshed tears.

"I'm sorry." I whisper softly and quickly walk away from there.

"Its okay." A British voice calls out after me. I ignore that voice and wipe away the tear that fell from my eyes.

Mary-Anne, breathe, you'll be fine.
