(3rd person POV)

Horror perked up at the thought of others being in his room with him, what he did to his room allowed him to listen in to what they were saying.

A ton of scratches were made by the door that thinned that area of the wall enough to barely hear them.

"We shouldn't send him in! We don't know anything about him, he came here this morning-" They were cut off by someone else.

"We will learn from this experiment, now put them in the god damn room!" They yelled, startling Horror.

He ran to the opposite side of the room so they thought he wasn't listening to their conversation.

Three skeletons were shoved in, one had blue eyelights. Another had red, blue and purple eyelights.

The last one looked around in fear, and had purple eyelights. Horror was curious about all three of them, looking over.

Horror slowly inched towards them on his hands and knees, one skeleton just looked at him weirdly. The other two became scared and scooted away.

"Who are you guys?" He asked in a soft, excited voice.

"B-Blueberry" The blue eye lighted one stuttered.

"Dust" The skeleton with the multi colored eye lights deadpanned.

"Lust" The last one mumbled.

"I'm Horror! I don't mean to hurt you guys," Horror stood up and helped them stand.

"Do you guys want a hug?" Horror asked, seeing Blue and Lust's uncomfortable faces.

Dust continued his weird look at Horror, confused on how such an intimidating person could be so soft and kind.

Lust nodded slightly, Blue shook his head and gained composure. When Horror hugged Lust, the latter went a bit rigid before melting and tightly clutching Horror.

When they split, Horror chuckled. "You really liked that, huh?". Lust looked away and fiddled with his shirt.

"I haven't felt as safe as I felt right then, so thank you" Lust smiled, Horror returned it.

Then, Dust felt something he'd never really had felt before.

Jealousy

Of who? He didn't know, but he just kept it to himself. The scientists were intrigued, they'd never seen Horror act like this.

So, they walked in and tried to take Lust, Blue and Dust out of the room. Once they got within a foot of Blue, Horror started growling.

Unluckily, the scientist did not hear and grabbed Blue and Dust's wrists. Horror then jumped on them, making them let go of the two.

Horror growled as he slowly got off and stood in front of the three protectively. The scientist ran out, scared.

Horror faced Dust, Blue and Lust with a kind smile. He led them further into his room.

They all sat down, then Lust asked a question. "If you guys wanna, what'cha here for?".

"Murder, or that's what I'm guessing" was all Dust said.

"Same thing essentially, I hunted for humans and go kinda crazy when I see one" Horror chuckled.

"Future visions that make me scared of the future" Blue admitted, feeling vulnerable.

"Oh, is it fine if I don't share my reason?" Lust looked away. Dust nodded and Horror and Blue made affirmation sounds.

"Why'd they put us in your room!" Dust asked Horror, assuming he knew. Which he did, but that's beside the point.

"Their last shot of 'helping' us before they move on to more emotionally and maybe physically painful ways" Horror glared at the door.

"Huh, somehow I expected that" Dust groaned. Blue looked down and Lust put his knees against his chest.

"I hear you're new" Horror told Dust, who looked shocked at his knowledge.

"How do you know that?" Dust asked.

"I can hear them! They can't hear us, only see. But I've heard of other skeletons. Just not you three," Horror sighed.

"Who? I wanna hear about them!" Blue smiled, the first time he had shown joy in a while.

"There's Ink, he can see people who aren't there! He climbs walls and doesn't have a SOUL, he's pretty wild" Horror told them, the others listening intently.

"There's Reaper, he has a death touch he can't control. He's escaped from and killed the scientists, he's really sad, I wanna cheer him up one day!".

"Dream and Nightmare, they're twins! They feed off of emotions. Nightmare has big tentacles and is goopy, Dream's a cinnamon roll".

He continued until all the others were told of, the three in front of Horror were practically lulled to sleep.

Horror laid down next to them, peacefully falling asleep to the sound of their breathing.
