The next morning, Arnav woke up next to the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen, His Khushi! Only he knew how much he had craved for her... Her warmth, Her love, Her merry smile... And today, She was literally clinging to Arnav.

Arnav smiled slightly looking at the beauty sleeping next to her. He slowly disentangled himself from her and got out of the bed and went to the washroom to freshen up taking his clothes with himself

He cautiously left the room so as not to disturb his sleeping beauty, The moment he stepped out of the room, He was instantly greeted by three eagerly waiting people, Anjali... Payal and Aakash

"Arnav.. Last night, Is it true? Is she really back? Is Khushi inside.. Speak up Arnav! Dammit, Come on please tell us!!" Anjali said desperately

"Di.. Di calm down, Let me speak will you?? And for heavens' sake.. Lower your volume will you? She's sleeping." Arnav said

"So... She's indeed here, She's back!" Payal asked cautiously

"Yes... She's back, She's inside.. And she's sleeping!" Arnav said

"Where did you find her... Where was she all this while?" Akaash asked

But before he could answer, They heard a heart-wrenching scream of "Arnav ji" echoing through the room where Khushi was lying peacefully just a few minutes ago, Arnav ran inside the room with the speed of a bullet, followed closely by the other three, Arnav Saw Khushi crying his name, Scared! clutching the blanket she was wrapped in, Arnav instantly wrapped his arms around her slender shaking figure pulling her into himself

"What happened baby... Kya hua jaan, Why are you crying??" Arnav asked ever so tenderly

"Where had you gone... Arnavji, I didn't see you! I was scared, Mein bahut darr gayi thi... Aap kahaan chale gaye the???(Where had you gone Arnavji? I didn't see you I was scared... I was so scared, Where were you??)" She asked sobbing, Hugging Arnav tightly

"Arrey Khushi, Jaan. I'm right here, Right next to you! I'm not going anywhere na.. Calm down, Stop crying." Arnav comforted her

"Arnavji.. I'm scared! They'll come for me! They'll take me away again!! Please save me Arnavji." She sobbed

"Nahi jaan. You're not going anywhere.. Calm down, No one will harm you this time. I'm there right?? Please love, Stop crying." Arnav soothed,

After a few minutes.. She calmed down considerably.. She parted herself from Arnav, Tear steaks were visible on her face. Arnav wiped her tears with soft fingers

"You won't go.. Right?" Khushi asked uncertainly

"No.. I won't go" Arnav assured her softly

Khushi noticed the three other people standing behind Arnav and her, Khushi tried to hide in Arnav's Arms scared of the three seeming strangers! Arnav frowned at her actions, "What happened baby?" He asked

"Arnavji Woh.. log" Khushi stuttered scared

Arnav realized that he hadn't introduced the three seeming strangers to Khushi

"Khushi... There's nothing to be scared of... They'll not harm you, Woh family hain hamari(They're our family)" Arnav said softly

Khushi looked up at Arnav, Who nodded slightly

"That's Anjali Di... My sister, And your sister in law" Arnav said gesturing towards Anjali who was confused at the sudden introduction but smiled warmly at Khushi nevertheless

Same way Payal and Aakash were introduced, Khushi though not completely comfortable smiled at all three of them respectfully.

"Arnav.. May I have a word?" Anjali asked courteously

Unconsciously Khushi's Grip on Arnav's hand tightened slightly which didn't go unnoticed by him, "Di... Give me a minute Okay?" He said

Anjali nodded.. Smiled and left the room with Payash in tow

"Jaan.. Mein 10 minutes me, Yahaan vapis aata huin.. Okay? Tab tak, You go and freshen up. Hmm? (Jaan.. I'll come back in 10 minutes... Okay? Till then, Go and freshen up. Hmm?)" Arnav said softly

Khushi nodded unsure

"Trust me baby...Your clothes are in the second wardrobe, Everything you'll need is in the dressing room, The room next to the washroom. Get ready fast and then we'll go downstairs... For breakfast. Okay?" Arnav instructed

Khushi nodded and got up, Went to the dressing room, While Arnav left the room nervously... He had a lot of explaining to do. He had to answer questions, He didn't have an answer to.

He went downstairs, And found Anjali-Shyam Payal-Akash waiting for him on the couch.

"Arnav.. Sit" Shyam said softly

"What's wrong.. With Khushi?" Payal asked

"Why didn't she recognize us? Why was she soo scared?" Anjali asked

"Di.. Khushi mujhe.. Di woh mujhe ek Flower shop ke paas mili thi. Bhaag rahi thi... Kisi se. Kuch aadmi uska peecha Kar rahe the. Bahut injured thi woh, Jab meine.. Usko dekha. Woh... Woh Ek dam se... Behosh ho gayi. Mein use ghar le aaya... Doctor uncle ke hisaab se... She was being drugged, Due to the drugs... Due to the drugs, She lost her memory" Arnav said almost on the verge of breaking down

Both the couples sitting opposite to Arnav gasped

"But she was... But?" Payal was short of words

"She couldn't recognize anyone, All she remembered was her own name. She couldn't remember me at all. It was after a lot of efforts that she finally trusted me!" Arnav said

"But what exactly happened? Where was she all this while?" Shyam asked

"That.. Jiju is something I don't know.. I will find out though." Arnav said

"What did the doctor say?" Anjali asked

"Doctor said that she has been badly harassed, Beaten.. Molested. She has gone through hell.. Di! And I wasn't even there to protect her. She was shaking... She was visibly shaking with fear last night. My Khushi was so visibly scared... She's still so scared. I don't know what to do Di. " Arnav cried

"Don't worry Chote.. It's Okay! We're all there for her, You are there for her. Don't worry she'll be fine." Anjali assured

"Di... My Baby, My jaan! Di I couldn't protect her.. She suffered so much Di." Arnav cried hard burying himself into Anjali

"She'll not suffer anymore Bhai, We'll all protect her the best we can... Nothing will harm her Bhai... If she's your wife... She's my sister in law too... Mera toh dohra rishta hai... Haina? (I have double relationship with her) Calm down Bhai... If you'll fall weak like this, Who'll console her? Please calm down" Akaash pleaded

Arnav took a deep breath to steady himself

Yes... He had to stay strong... He had to be there for his wife... His Khushi needed him, And he will always be there for her!! He'll never let her fall weak again... He'll never leave her side again!
