Chapter 5: The Burning Inferno

HI ANGELS! Just to let you guys know...in this chapter, there's going to be another conversation in a different language between Angela and 11 year old triplets. They only know how to speak Hindi. But don't worry guys! I put the English Translations in there also so you guys can know what they're saying. ALRIGHT LET'S GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My relief turned into fear and worry. I separated from Yusei. I looked at him. "Stardust. You have to get out of here. Get the buses ready."

Yusei understood what was happening. He nodded and tried to open the bedroom door, but without success. "Angela. We're trapped inside!"

"WHAT?!" I say with shock. Then, I heard a growl. I turned toward the sound and saw Pyro. But he looked different. He had turned from a little boy with fox traits...to a red-orange four-tailed fox. His eyes glowed a menacing yellow. He was growling, showing his adult sharp teeth. My eyes widened with shock and fear.

"WHAT THE HECK IS THAT," Yusei said standing in front of me, protecting me?!

"That's the Kitsune from my nightmare," I answered with fear!

Pyro opened his mouth releasing a burst of flame from his jaws, straight at us. Adrenaline suddenly fueled me. "LOOK OUT!" I jumped on top of Yusei, resulting in both of us falling to the floor. We dodged the flame breath just in time. It hit the door causing it to burst into flames, spreading across the whole bedroom. We both took in whatever fresh air was still in the room, as the room filled with smoke. When I looked up again, Pyro had gone.

Yusei and I stood up quickly. I looked at him, "Yusei, there's one way you can get out." I ran over to the burning dresser on the other side of the room. I pushed it to the the left of the room, burning my hands. I cried out in pain. "ANGELA!" He ran over to me, in worry.

I pushed the pain aside and kicked the wall that was behind it. Resulting in the wallpaper tearing to reveal a secret passage. "Yusei! Use this to get out! There's a lot of twists and turns. If you see any of the kids, help them outside. But once you get out, stay out!" I pushed in through the entrance.

"But what about you?!" He asked in great worry. I was about to respond when I hear a loud CRACK! I look up and saw that part of the ceiling was about to fall. I look at Yusei and told him, "DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME! Just go!"

Yusei and his stubbornness kicked in. "I'M NOT GOING WITHOUT YOU!"

CRACK!

"YUSEI! I HAVE TO GET THE KIDS! GO! NOW BEFORE--"

I looked up to see that the ceiling had broken. I pushed Yusei deeper into the passageway when the giant piece of ceiling debris crash onto the floor, blasting me back. I stood up and saw that debris had blocked the secret passage's entrance, sealing me from Yusei and him from me. I noticed that the bedroom had started to cave in on itself, pushing the flames closer to me. I ran to the bedroom door, and kicked it hard. The door and the debris in front of it blasted away, and I rushed out the bedroom just as it caved in with a loud BOOM! I looked back, hoping that Yusei got away in time.

I shook my head and ran down the burning hallway. My bedroom was on the very top of the mansion so the kids would be downstairs. I ran to where the stairs were, to find that half of them had burst into flames and crashed. I heard the orphans crying in fear. I had to get down there, but...

My thoughts were interrupted by a piece of the ceiling broke away from above and hit my back, burning it severely. I cried out in pain as I fell from where I was and hit the floor below. The burning pain intensifying, I stood up and ran into the first bedroom I saw. Fortunately, I was able to open the door without kicking it open. My eyes widened as I saw the I saw the Hindi triplets, who we saved from India, in the corner of the room. Aravinda, the youngest of the 11 year old triplet brothers, was stuck underneath some burning debris, crying. Chander, the middle brother, was reassuring Aravinda that they were going to get him out. Kumar, the oldest, was trying to get Aravinda free, but to no avail.

They only knew how to speak Hindi. Good thing I learned how to speak a lot of languages over the past 2 years. I called out to them, "Chōṭē baccē! Mēṁ yahām̐ hūm̐!" [Translates to: Little ones! I'm here!]

All three of them heard me and and saw me, joy and relief spreading across their soot-covered faces. "Misa ēn̄jēlā!! Kr̥payā hamārī madada karō!!" [Translates to: MISS ANGELA!! HELP US PLEASE!!]

I ran over to them. I looked at Chander and Kumar and told them, "Pīchē haṭō!" [Translates to: Stand back!]

They both stood and took a couple steps back. With strength that I didn't even know I had, I lifted the burning rubble off of Aravinda. Aravinda crawled out of the way, and I dropped it, pieces of the rubble breaking off and burning my cheek. I grunted as my burned cheek blistered. Aravinda, Chander, and Kumar ran over to me, worried. "Arē nahīṁ! Kyā tuma ṭhīka hō, misa ēn̄jēlā? !!" [Translates to: OH NO! Are you okay, Miss Angela?!!]

I gave them a reassuring smile, and they relaxed slightly. I reached into my small pack around my waist and I pulled out 3 face masks. I gave one to each of them, and they put them on. That's when I notice the bedroom was caving in on itself. The loud cracks scared the triplets, they were screaming in fear. I grabbed all three of them and sprinted out of the room, just in time before the room caved in on itself, with a loud BOOM! I looked at them, "Tuma lōgōṁ kō ṭhīka kara rahē haiṁ?" [Translates to: Are you guys alright?]

The triplets nodded, fear in their eyes. I took them to the nearest exit, seeing Yugi out there with Ruby, an Italian 7 year old girl named Luciana, a German 8 year old named Gertrude, her 6 year old brother Bardulf, and Gertrude's 13 year older sister Athala. When Aravinda, Chander, Kumar, and I were close enough, the Hindi triplets ran out through the exit to Yugi. Yugi took them to where the other four kids were, and started nurses their injuries. I, however, ran back the way I came, dodging falling debris, going to save more of the kids.

I reached out to Yusei telepathically as I ran, hoping he and the rest of the band got out. "Yusei! Is everyone alright," I telepathically asked him.

"Most of the band and I got out of the building. We were able to rescue 3 of the African orphans: 15 year old Gacheru, his 10 year old brother Obi, and his 7 year old sister Chipo." He mentally replied, his voice sounding frantically worried.

I dodged another falling piece of the ceiling, and took a hard left. "What do you mean, 'Most'?"

"Crow's still in there! You gotta hurry!"
