Hermione's pov.
I woke up suddenly.I looked at the clock.It was six in the morning.Today,we had to leave for Hogwarts.This thought never let me sleep.So i woke up and went to bathe.As i was early,i spent an hour,wondering what would happen in school.As the war was over,there would be no problem.

I came out and saw it was half past seven!!I had taken too long.By eight,we are supposes to be on road to the station!!And i heard no sound in the house!!I went to Ginny's room and she was sleeping!!I tried waking her but no use."Accio bucket!!"i said.A pail of water found it's way to Ginny's head

"Aaaaaawwwww..."she shouted."Do you want to miss the train?"i asked."Huh??What...train?"she asked.I gave her an evil look."Oh...Hogwarts!!I forgot!!"she said,jumping out of bed.I went and saw no one had woken up.I called everyone and went to the lst room and opened the door."Ronnn..."i shouted and found the room empty.Then it hit me.He was gone.None of his things were here.He had taken everything to her house.

I came to the kitchen,fearing that i might cry if i stayed there anymore.Breakfast was not ready.So with my little knowledge of cooking,and magic,i whipped up pancakes and pineapple juice.When all of them were down,i had everything laid out."Time to dine!!"i said.They sat and ate.I sat next to Harry.

The chair opposite to me was emptu."Where is Ro.."started Harry.All of them gave him a death glare.I really had to end this problem.My eyes turned moist."Hermione, don't worry.He will come back."Ginny reassured.I ate quickly.We all left for the station.I was very happy to go to Hogwarts.It was there i felt at home.Sweet!!

As usual,we went to the pillar and all of them went inside.I was the last.Usually i do it with Ron..but now...
-You have to get over this git,Hermione!!He will come back to you.

Thinking that,i entered.All of them were happily chatting.While we were talking with.Mr.Rutherford Higgins,Arthur's friend,i saw a blonde,tall boy walking ahead of me.

Draco's pov.
I was walking all alone in the dark.There was no one.I felt like someone was following me.I started to sweat.I kept running.There,ahead of me,was a light.I went near it.I saw a girl.Her features were blur.She was really pretty and her smile was enchanting.The sound of her laugh made me want to fly.

She held my hand.Her hand was warm and soothing against my sweaty,cold one.She walked with me.She was so mesmerizing.Then,the light started to fade.She also became a blur.I tried to tell her not to go but i felt like someone had taken away my voice.She was gone.Then,the land i was standing on cracked and i was falling,falling,falling in an endless pit....

I woke,sweaty all over.It was morning.I was in my bed.It was all a dream.I knew who it was in my dream.Rachel...I knew i had to have her back.I went to bath and came to have breakfast.It was half past seven.When i was eating,Binx came near me."Master,shall i bring your trunk?"he asked.I was puzzled.Trunk?What was...I put my fork down.I remembered.Holy crap!!Hogwarts!!I ran back to my room and took my wand.It took ten minutes to pack my stuff.

Binx carried it down."Anything else,Master?"he asked."Nothing.Look after the house.And..if Rachel comes..tell her to contact me."i said,with uncertainty.She would come to meet me before taking the train..i hope so.I apparated to the station.It was really smelly.I had apparated near the bathrooms.Damn it!!I made my way towards the pillar and entered.

It was crowded.All of them were making sure their children were safe.It was natural.After all the things we had gone through...I shuddered on thinking about the past.I rushed to enter the train when i saw a girl with brown curly hair talking to a red head and Potter.

Hermione's pov.
It was Draco.He was staring awkwardly at me.I smiled."Excuse me."i said and went near him."Hello Malfoy!"i said.He smiled.I was reminded of our conversation in the phone yesterday.I laughed.He looked at me,surprised."No..I just remembered the call...yesterday..."i said,giggling.He smiled too."I am bad at muggle stuff,Granger."he said."Okay!!Meet you at Hogwarts!!"i said as i saw that the others were boarding the train.

He smiled and i joined the others.Me,Ginny and Harry found a compartment for ourselves.We searched for Ron.He was nowhere to be seen.We were halfway towards Hogwarts when a boy,first or second year i suppose,came to our compartment."Who is...Hermi....Hermione Graaanher?"he asked,in a shaky voice.Harry and Ginny burst out laughing.I glared at them.

"It's me."i said."Professor McGonagall wants you to bring Draco Malfoy to the Room next to the driver's"he said and left."You and Malfoy?"Harry asked.I wondered too."Ok.See you guys!!"i said and left.Now,how.would i know where he was? I started searching.I found a few friends too.When i opened one compartment,i saw two people kissing.I blushed."Sorry!!"i said and when i was to close the door,they pulled away.I saw their faces and stood,frozen.

Ron and Rachel.

They stared at me too.Rachel had a devilish smirk and Ron had a stunned look.I was totally shaken."Ohh..Hermione Granger!!Long time since we met!!"Rachel said,as though nothing had happened."What are you looking at?This is my friend..Ron weasley.You know him,right?"she asked.I was distraught.A sly smile played in her lips.More astonishing was that Ron stayed like a statue,saying nothing when this bitch was playing with me.

"Um..if you don't mind..."she said,looking at the door.She wanted me to shut and go while she was snogging my boyfriend.I couldn't stand it."Have a nice time!!"i said,frustrated and left,leaving her totally shocked.I went,searching for Malfoy.Finally,i found him with his friends,Pansy,Theodore and Blaise.I was sure they were going to spit some insult at me."Um...Malfoy..Professor McGonagall wants both if us now."i said."Hey!Granger! How do you do?"asked Blaise,cheerfully.

I was pretty shocked."Um..fine."i said.Pansy and Theodore gave me a smirk.Not a sly one.A normal one.This was shocking.Who would have thought slytherins could smile like that at a mudblood.I looked at Draco."Yes.I'll come.See you soon guys!!"he said and followed me.

Draco's pov.
I was happily talking to my friends.All of them had changed.We had not talked much since the war.So it was nice to talk about something,anything,other than Voldemort,death eaters and stuff.Always,from our fourth year,we had been talking about death eaters and things about that.Our parents thought that was the right time for us to start knowing about the death eaters.

From that year,we never had fun.Everything became gloomy.But now,we were free.Free to laugh and talk about anything we wanted.I could tell that all of them had forgotten about the past.Only i couldn't move on.I realised Granger was quite beside me.Her eyes were moist."What happened,Granger?"i asked."I...i saw Ron and..Rachel..".The utterance of her name mad me stiff."..Kissed."she ended.I was broken inside.That was the second time.

"Let's not talk about it Granger."i said.She remained mum.I wanted to bawl and cry.I couldn't take this shit.By that time,we were in professor's compartment.She was smiling at us."Welcome,Ms Granger and Mr Malfoy.Pleased to see you,Malfoy."she said.I nodded curtly.She asked us to sit."All of us know what happened in the war.This year,we have thought,must be the best year ever.This year must be hassle free and the students must feel they are at home.

"So we thought that we needed perfect people as role models for the others.We thought that you both would be perfect for the head boy and head girl post"she said.I stared at her.Was she mad to announce a former death eater as the head boy?"But professor,i was a.."i started."No matter what you were Malfoy.We felt and we know that you were the best person for this post.We have forgotten the past.We are here to start a new fresh life."she said.

I couldn't deny.I looked at the girl sitting next to me.

Hermione's pov.
I was beyond happy.It was my dream to be the head girl.And now here i am,the head girl of Hogwarts.I'm sure that Ron would waste no time in finding me and hugging me.I pictured myself in his arms.It was wonderful.Professor's cough brought me back.

"Thank you,Professor.We will prove ourselves worthy."i said."That is great,now both of you get ready while i go and check with the other matters.Here are your badges."she said,handing out two shining badges.She left,leaving both of us together."Well..I'll go and change,Granger."The blonde said,raising.I went to meet Harry.He and Ginny were kissing when i met them.

They broke away when they saw me.Both blushing and breathless.This reminded me of a similar situation in the morning.I pushed it away."Well...um..what was it?"asked Ginny."It is really bad to kiss in front of the head girl.Twenty points from Gryffindor."i said.Both of them looked stunned.

I laughed."Oh my god!!You are the head girl??"asked Ginny.I nodded.She laughed and hugged me.Harry smiled.We had reached hogsmead.As we were taking our things,Harry dropped his bagon Ginny's head."Hey!!What was that for?"she shouted.Harry gaped at me.

"Who is the headboy Hermione?"he asked.Ginny also looked at me in the same way.

I smirked as i opened the door to leave.

"Draco Malfoy"

The door shut,leaving behind two stunned Gryffindors.
