EDEN AND AISHA WERE WALKING DOWN THE STAIRS TOGETHER WHEN SUDDENLY PEOPLE STARTED SNORTING. eden locked eyes with the person making the noise, "could you shut the hell up?" Aisha looked at the girl who was standing up for her, "thanks, but you really don't have to do that."

"Its okay, lets go to your locker and we can head to class." both girls continued walking down the steps and reached Aisha's locker. She opened it up and eden saw sam walking directly to them. "Hey. How are you feeling?" Sam had a guilt face.

Aisha looked at Sam, "I've gone viral. How do you think i am?" Sam looked at eden for backup but eden looked to the other direction, she didn't want to be in the middle of the argument. "Look, they're mean, but they have short memories. They'll forget."

Aisha shook her head holding onto her binder, "yeah. Well, I'm not gonna forget." She closed her locker walking away from the conversation. Eden was going to follow right behind but Sam grabbed her arm before she could leave. "Could you talk to her tell her I'm sorry?" Eden nodded walking away.

"Aisha! Wait up." Eden and aisha were headed to class. "You know i have a friend, miguel. He told me his sensei is looking for new recruits since he just opened up his dojo, I'm going with eli soon if you want to join us." Eden invited aisha to go along with her and eli to the dojo.

"I'll think about it, thank you for the offer." The two girls hugged and each went to their class. Eden was headed to the library since demetri texted her they would be there, she walked in and immediately saw the group of three boys sitting right in front of her.

Miguel had a band-aide on his forehead along with some bruises on his cheek, "so, that's it? No more karate?" demetri asked the boy who was busy writing something down. "I guess so."

"It's probably for the best. It was starting to boost your confidence." Eden raised a brow at the boy. "demetri, isn't that a good thing?" She said sitting right across from him. "No. What has confidence ever gotten anyone except a black eye and their backpack thrown in the trash?" He sadly looked down.

"Well, i thought it was kind of cool how you stood up to kyler." The girl smiled at the boy who spoke up but was soon interrupted when demetri spoke up again. "Are you insane? Let me ask you. What is the best superpower anyone could have?"

"Super strength." Miguel said

"Telekinesis" eden spoke right after.

"Both are wrong. Invisibility." He pointed at the pair with his pen. "A distance second would be super speed to run away fast."

The group was then caught by surprise when kyler came out of nowhere. "Run away from who?" Brucks leaned on kyler, "whom?" Kyler turned to him confused. "It's the object of a preposition. Remember English class."

Eden was still sitting down when the three boys started to pack up their belongings, "we were just leaving." Miguel said reaching for his backpack. "Hey, where are you going?" He got a hold of eli and put his hand on his chin to force him to look up at him, "oh, look at this freak."

"What kind of girl would ever kiss this shit?"

eden stood up and broke the two up, "kyler, why don't you stop being a jackass and walk away." Kyler leaned down to get on her level, "nah, I don't so."  He walked up to demetri and pulled his backpack off.

"Hey, you don't want this shit." Demetri looked at his backpack that was now in Kyler's hand, "no, come on. Not the trash" kyler pushed him away and put the backpack in the trash can.

"I just threw a.. yogurt in there." The girl reached in the trash can and retrieved Demetri's backpack and passed it over to him, "now it's double dip." The boy thanked her and took the backpack before walking away, eden following right behind.

WHEN SCHOOL ENDED EDEN MET UP WITH ATTICUS IN THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT, "you wouldn't believe the shit kyler did today." Atticus listened to his younger sister rant about what kyler did to her friends. "He's a piece of shit, you want me to talk to him?" She quickly shook her head.

"I don't need my older brother speaking up for me, especially for kyler." She looked down at her phone that ringed. It was a message from aisha she wanted her to go along with her to the dojo miguel was talking about. She replied back with a yes, telling her to meet her up tomorrow.

"I'm going to need a ride tomorrow, you available?" She turned to her brother who nodded, "yeah, where were you going to go?"

"This karate dojo my friend has been talking about."

Atticus nodded his head looking directly at the road, "dad's isn't going to like the fact you're going to a karate dojo." Her dad had been against the idea of his kids doing karate since he didn't have a good experience with his sensei growing up.

"Miguel said his sensei is the best of the best, you should hear how much he talks about him." Atticus drove up to the drive way and parked the vehicle right next to their mom's car. Eden was the first to get out reaching for her things in the back seat.

She then walked to the front door and opened it, "mom? dad? We're home!" their dad was the first to greet them, "hey sweetheart, how was your day?"

"It was great, I'm going out with aisha tomorrow is that alright with you?" He nodded looking at her. "Yeah, that fine with me just make sure you let your mom know." Her dad walked off to the living room while she went upstairs to her room to get ready for dinner before her mom got home.

When she was finished she walked back downstairs and into the dinning room, she heard her parents talking while her dad was helping set up the dinner table.

Her mom was wearing a nice floral dress that she bought last weekend when they went shopping together and her dad was wearing whatever her mom bought him.

her mom smiled as she sees Eden. "You look beautiful, sweetheart," she says.

"Thank you mom. Dad you need any help?" Her dad shook her head placing down the last of the silverware. "No, I'm okay."

"Everything looks amazing," she says, walking over to give her parents a quick hug, "go tell your brother dinner is ready." She nodded walking to the staircase and before she could call out his name she saw him come out his room, "dinners ready." Atticus followed her into the dinning room.

everyone took a seat at the table and began eating, her parents asked them about school and if they had any interest. Eden still hasn't told her dad about wanting to get into karate since she knew he wouldn't like the idea, "dad, Eden has something to tell you." Her dad looked up when Atticus spoke.

"Yeah? What's up sweetheart?" He asked.

Eden looked at Atticus who had a grin on his face, "I've been thinking about giving karate a try." her eyes meeting his who had no emotion.

his eyebrows knitting together in concern, "karate? I thought we talked about this before." Eden nods understanding where he's coming from.

"I know you've haven't been a fan of the idea, but my friends are joining karate and i told eli i would join him so we wouldn't be by himself."

Her father sighs, "I'm just worried the same thing that happened to me will happen to you, but I'll support your decision if this is really what you want." Her face lights up with happiness.

She quickly stood up from her table and ran to her dad's seat and hugged him, "thank you, dad. you're the best!" She ran out of the dinning room and went straight to her room.

She got her phone and texted aisha that she could go to the karate dojo tomorrow.
