Poppy Sinclair was totally done with the small town of Beacons Hills, and she seriously regrets not leaving to London alongside her step-brother when she had the chance. A short time ago, Beacon Hills was perfect to Poppy, and even though it was slightly boring, Poppy now wished that things had stayed how they were. Poppy was popular, and it wasn't because she was the step-sister of Jackson Whittemore, the best friend of Lydia Martin, or the ex-girlfriend of Issac Lafey, it was because she made a name for herself on her own. Everyone looked up to her, some even wanted to be her, and Poppy loved being placed above everyone else. This narcissistic attitude changed however after she was bitten by Derek Hale, and was turned into a vampire instead of a werewolf. This swift in reality made Poppy get her shit together, even if she didn't want to.

Allison Argent hated Poppy Sinclair, or at least, she thought she did. Ever since she moved to the small town of Beacon Hills, she has had a strong frenemy relationship with the popular girl, and the hatred had only gotten worse when Poppy almost killed her once she was turned. The only reason they still talked to each other was because of their friendships with Lydia. But now that they were heading back to school, and Poppy came back from her vacation, the Argent girl was starting to see the changes in Poppy's personality. Allison kept telling herself that she should continue to hate the Sinclair girl, but it seemed that she really has changed for the better. Maybe, even though Allison would never admit this, she was starting to fall in love with her and because of an awkward drunken kiss over the summer, they are strangely brought closer together. 

Poppy and Allison were slowly starting to become friends, but as this change in relationship occurs, the alpha pack comes walking into Beacon Hills with a great master plan. Everyone in their misfit gang was now a chess piece in their abstract game. The alpha pack's plan included recruiting Scott, the leader who may-or-may-not be a true alpha, and killing Poppy, since the the pack had a deep hatred for the blood suckers. Alongside this, Poppy made another mistake and that was leading her senses get the best of her. After biting the head cheerleader, Evie Kellerman, there was another vampire running around Beacon Hills with blood on the brain. As everyone shatters into chaos, Allison Argent has to deal with being Poppy Sinclair's second choice to Issac Lafey, the charming ex-boyfriend.
