Lash's pov
I wait at the entrance of the cave and i hear martin cry out," Lash, where are you?!" " i'm down here! I'm climbing up now!" I leap up, grabbing the rock with ease, climbing up and i stand with the duo and martin looks down." That cave? No wonder you want to go it alone, i'm not that good of a climber but you should take chris with you, in case you run into trouble." Chris nods," besides you'll need an anchor." The two were right, but the tempature, if either of them got sick because of me, i don't want it to happen. I sigh and relent," ok, but hold on tight to me, i'll climb us down, so that we don't waste rope, once we get the emerald we'll teleport back up here. Deal?" Chris nods," lets do this"  i get onto the wall and chris holds onto my quills, which hurts alot, but i know it's nessecary as i get us right over the entrance." Ok, let go and brace your momentum, you pulling my quills really hurts!" Chris gasps," ok, here goes!" He drops and i hear him land, jumping down and grabbing him, pulling him in since he almost went the wrong way back, nearly falling off the cliff and i sigh, relaxing," you good chris?" He nods," y-yeah, not every day you get a near death experience of plummeting, thanks lash." I chuckle and nods, turning on my flashlight and i head back inside the cave, the tempature becoming a comfortable tempature for me, luckily chris has on extra protection. We get to the waterfall and i hold out a hand and he passes me the rope. I twirl the rope with ease, Tom having taught me to from the farmers in Green Hill, i launch the rope, it grabbing a spike of rock far above the emerald and i pull, it gripping tighter, and i pull a few times to make sure it'll hold and i wrap some around my waist, tightening it, and chris notices my shaking hands and he grabs them, and he helps me tighten the rope." Don't worry, i won't let you drown, if you get too sluggish i'll pull the rope hard enough to pull you clean of the falls, esspecially if you fall." That seemed to help me relax, the truthfullness in his eyes causing me to stop shaking and i throw off my leather jacket, stretching out my limbs." Thanks Chris, i won't forget it, if anything goes wrong" i pull out the doll from my quills and i hand it to him." Rip that, error will come." He nods determined and gets ready on the rope and i jump, grabbing onto the extremely slippery rocks, my claws under the gloves latch on, and i begin my terrifying climb up the wet and slippery rocks. The water soon blasts around my body and i take a deep breath, going in, all of my trust in chris as i keep my eyes locked tightly on the bright blue glow, i continue my pace, it taking an agonizing minute before i struggle to hold my breath, slowing down, and next i know i feel air and i gasp, taking in a fresh breath before pushing off the rope and it lets me in, it takes several breaks, and what feels like an hour, before i manage to grip the emerald, and i pull and pull, pushing off with my legs and it pops out, and i grip tightly to the gem, and the water pounds me down, and chris pulls tightly, pulling me out and i gasp, coughing as i get my breathing stabilized." I have it!, loosen your grip and the rope will release, i've got this from here!" I hold up the emerald and i focus, and i chaos control to chris's side moments before he releases his tension on the rope and the noose of the rope falls off the rock, and he pulls it in as i pull on my jacket, pulling it in tight around me, grateful for the warmth it gives." You need a better jacket? Martin has an extra in his Buzzbike." I shake my head." I'll be fine, thanks for having my back, if not for you, i wouldn't have made it up to the emerald. Now hold onto me, we'll get outta here in a sonic second." He nods, smiling as he grabs onto my arm and i hold up the emerald, focusing on martin before yelling," Chaos Control!"
The feeling of teleportation washes over us both and i gasp as freezing cold air hits me and i shiver heavily, the water in my fur turning quickly to ice, which i rub off to the best of my ability and Chris says," Martin lets go, we got the emerald." Martin laughs and high fives his brother." Good job bro! And are you ok lash? Your fur is frozen solid." " i know that, i didn't expect a blizzard when we got back." I say, shivering badly as i hold the emerald, it helping to keep me warm with its energy. I say," i'll run back to the tortuga, i remember the way, do you guys?" They both nod and i start trying to run, but the ice constricts my movements, making me slow and unable to run, the cold sapping me of strength, martin notices and lifts me up before i entirely collapse, a big jacket being wrapped around me like a blanket, but my warmth doesn't seem to return, i quickly realize whats happening, since i had been in the water so long, my core was already too cold to keep my body warm, and i had burned through my stamina fighting the waterfall. The blizzard had knocked out the rest before i could move fast enough to warm up. The duo talk quickly before i feel us moving down and out of the wind, and my bundle being set down and i see chris's gloves open the bundle so i could fully breathe, but everything is blurry as i see the cave around us." You ok there lash?" I nod, feeling a bit better." Y-yeah, but i don't think i can transport all 3 of us to the tortuga. The climb wore me out more then i thought." Chris nods and holds the bundle close, warmth seeping in." We got you, just don't move and we'll wait out the storm, once the blizzard passes we'll be able to get outta here." I nod, too cold and tired to argue, i shiver for awhile, slowly warming up thanks to a fire martin built out of dry roots and i manage to get all the ice out of my fur, slowly tiring me out more and i lay down, the jacket acting as my support i slip off to sleep.
