Lash's pov
I sit ontop of the tortuga and i sigh, my ears down, as i pull out a photo of all of our friends, taking down Zack yesterday had left me wondering how the others were and as if he knew what i was thinking, chris climbs out, attached to climbing gear in case he fell, as we were flying along the Nile. He sits with me and asks," you ok? You seem down." " yeah, i'm ok, i'm just scared for my family. We already lost one person to the menace Eggman. I just want to be sure they're ok, but without a Emerald i'm not sure if we can get home." I put away the photo and i look out over the area and i focus, sensing the emeralds, but none are really close. Till i feel a powerful pulse nearby us and i stand," and one of the emeralds are close, we gotta land!" Chris gasps as he sees me push aside my worry and i look over the edge, no water, good, i step back, then i take a running leap off the edge, whooping as i see a clearing and i position myself before curling and becoming an invincible ball of spines as i crash into the ground. I climb out and error lands nearby, guess he has the same mindset as me. I launch off and error launches behind me saying," yoU feLt it tOO?" I nod," of course i did, come on, nobody's gonna be fighting us for the emeralds, it's gonna be a breeze!" Error chuckles as we come to a stop, a pool of deep water in front of us and i sigh, my ears flicking back in fear." It just has to be underwater" and error pulls off his skates." I'll dIve fOr iT, wait fOr the KrrAts, thEy likEly hAve equiPmenT thaT cAn hElp yoU jOin me." I sigh and nod," ok, but keep your wits about you, if you get stuck, shoot a spear straight up and we'll go get you free." He nods, then dives in, swimming down and i sit on a rock, as i wait.
About 10 minutes later the kratt brothers arrive and i yell," finally! Error's been searching already for 10 minutes. Sure he can be under for hours, but i have a bad feeling!" Martin asks," what about you? You're his sister" " adopted, and i'm terrified of water, after-" i cut myself off, flicking my ears down and i shake my head," nevermind, it's not important, but you guys have equipment to help you guys be underwater? Error and i don't have the best senses underwater, so the more people looking, the better." They all notice my switch in behavior and martin throws me a strange plastic clear mask, that looks custom fit to my face." Nice, so like this?" I manage to put it on with some help from Aviva and i chuckle, but when i turn to the water i freeze again, flashes of my past ringing through my head, all the bad things that have happened near water and the kratt brothers take advantage of my frozen stance and chris lifts me up saying," we got you, just take deep breaths and stay close to us, nothing bad will happen" i relax and i nod as we dive in and i close my eyes, sensing for the emerald and i swim over to a wall, touching it," error's this way, and so is the emerald, but somethings off, theres a third energy." The brothers nod and martin says," aviva says there's a cave that way, the entrance is deeper down, you doing ok?" I nod," it's hard, but i can't afford to be afraid, come on" i let myself sink by kicking the wall, thanks to my dense quills i sink quickly, spotting the entrance and i shove off the wall again and i grip the rock, pushing off and the kratt brothers swim beside me climbing till it flattens out and we break the surface, i throw off the mask and i shake at supersonic speed, drying off easily, and i hear error scream in pain. He doesn't get hurt by a simple Emerald." No no no! Error needs help. Follow my footprints, but i can't slow down" chris nods," go, your brother needs you, that scream wasn't from joy" i nod and explode into a blur, following the cave until it splits in two and i stop, listening and i spot error's tracks moving down one way, so i burst back into a blur, and i explode into the area with a spindash, knocking something clean off of error, and error gasps for air as i land with error, and seeing he's covered in light purple chains, nearly unconsious as a white skeleton rises, wincing from my hit and he sees me," huh, a weakling mortal defending the god of destruction? Interesting, and you are?" "Whiplash, and i know who you are Ink, or should i say Boundless Creator?" " huh. You definitetly are an interesting one, you definitetly hit like a truck, but yet your aura is nothing." I spot the Emerald in error's bound hands and i push error behind the wall and i grab the emerald, i'll need it to stay ahead of Ink." Hey Paint Bucket! Come get me!" I blast back in, dodging every drop of his attacks, knowing that any drop would become a problem and i run on the walls, realizing that if i could get the cave to collapse, then ink would be trapped. I launch myself into a spindash, slamming into the roof, and i just drill myself in, digging at the hard rock.
Martin's pov
We catch up to see error chained and unconsious, and Lash fighting a loosing battle against a white skeleton, i look to error, then to lash drilling into the roof as the skeleton then notices us." More bothersome insects defending a weak god? Alright then, try this!" I manage to dodge the purple paint when a rock comes down and spears the skeleton in the arm and he barely winces. We have no choice, error likely has the power to get us out of this mess. I hit the button on my creature pod and i pull a hair off error." Aviva, you have enough data to possibly build a Disc for Mobians?" " yeah i do, why?" Chris yells," cause we're really in trouble, there's a white skeleton attacking us, Lash is drilling apart the celing and error's seriously hurt!" " ok, i'm on it, give me 10 minutes!" She ends the call to focus and i grab error, noticing the purple paint on the chains. His attacks are all paint!" Chris, get error back to the entrance to the cave! Dip him in the water, maybe it'll dissolve his chains, if not, use lash's mask and swim him out. I'm gonna help Lash." Chris looks into my eyes and finally gives and nods, taking error and running with him as i hold error's quill and while the skeleton struggles, lash hammers him down with hit after hit. Suddenly the disk appears and i grab it, placing it in its slot, and i activate it, my suit gaining mighty blue quills, and large mecha legs, small tail and i smirk," i'm coming Lash! Hold on!" Lash looks up in disbelief." You stupid... nevermind, i'll yell at you later, i need the help, just try not to crash, i've got the cavern on a hairline, where's chris and error?" " leaving, i sent chris ahead." " smart, run around, then leap and curl up, you'll slam into the celing, and thats my plan, it'll get flooded, but it'll stop this maniac from hurting my brother." I nod and i do as she says, realizing what she said, as she holds up the jewel, and on her other arm, she blasts where i drill and a resounding Crack sounds out in the weak cave and i grab Lash, pulling my mask on as the water rushes in and floods the cave. Lash holds her breath and clings onto me as i boost up, breaking through and lash gasps, and we climb onto shore and error glares me down." You stuPid Human!!! GeT oUt oF thAt tRansFormAtion bEfore yoU eXplode!!!" I gasp as i realize how warm the suit is, turning it off and error blocks everyone from the blast of energy, skidding a foot, but relaxing as he takes in the energy, glowing softly." You good there error?" I ask and he slowly relaxes, nodding as the glow fades to nothing, he holds out a hand and i take it, standing up and i wince from soreness and error says," i'Ll haVe Lash anD i HoldiNg oNto to tHis disK, and if it Comes dOWn to iT, uSe her poWer, nEveR mIne, it'Ll kIll yOU iF yoU uSe minE aGAin." I sigh, feeling him take the disk." ok, i get it, yeah, i don't mind that, i got lucky today. But that was a heck of a rush." Lash laughs," yeah you'll get used to that, i'll have to teach you two how to use my powers properly. Once your suits get strong enough to handle my energy." Aviva nods," it's a challenge i intend to overcome!" We head back to the tortuga, lash laying ontop, exhausted as she tosses me the Emerald, and i catch it easily." I hope we never run into ink again, today was terrifying. Seeing you so hurt. Please be more careful Bro" i nod softly, hugging her and she hugs back, no words were needed, just our embrace says all we needed.
