"Emmett's gonna be the first to fuck up."
Alessia watched as her two brothers, Emmett and Jasper trained, the latter clearly using little to no strength as he relied on his ability and smarts to win the bout. Her words were said towards Rosalie, who sighed and nodded in annoyance at her child like mate.
"I know, I'll probably have to watch him the whole time." She answered, tossing her blonde locks behind her ear in one movement while looking at her younger sister
"Hey! I can hear you!" Emmett yelled, the ground slightly vibrating as yet again he was dropped. He flipped back over, standing and looking at an amused Jasper with determination. "Again."
"Maybe he should sit this one out, Jasper is barely even trying." Alessia commented, earning a small giggle from her blonde haired sister, shrugging towards the male who lifted his hands as if he didn't know what she meant. "I mean really Emmett, you've lost your touch."
In response Emmett gave her the middle finger before concentrating once more.
"Where are your wolves?" Rosalie questioned, changing topics. Her hair swaying as her topaz eyes searched the surrounding wolves for said creatures.
Alessia narrowed her eyes towards the girl, "one, they are not my wolves and two, I have no clue."
She pulled her bottom lip into her mouth, feeling slightly wary as time went on and yet they were still the only ones here. Her ears strained but not a pawed foot was heard, she couldn't help herself ever since becoming mates to Jacob all she did was worry. She worried for his safety and the packs, wondering they were all okay out in the rain all night or if they were getting enough sleep. It was quite an annoyance if she was being honest and confusing but Carlisle had clarified that it was due to her bond with Jacob and his right to be the packs Alpha.
A car pulled up behind the line of trees as she thought, revealing to be her brother and Bella who made their way towards them in slow steps.
Bella stopped next to the strawberry blonde, nodding at her softly as her hand was still tangled with Edwards.
The eldest twin attempted to grab his sisters attention, sighing softly when she wouldn't look his way. "Alessia..."
Alessia sharp gaze fell upon her brother, eyes narrowed as a frown was plastered across her lips. She wasn't at all happy with him, in fact, she was fuming. Last night her brother had made a decision without considering her first, choosing to allow Jacob and his pack to fight alongside them before even considering her feelings. Despite all the fights, Jacob was still her mate and having him in any kind of danger worried her. Edward knew this and still chose to ignore.
"What do you want, brother?"
"I'm sorry, you have to understand—"
"Understand what? That just because your mate is on the li'e you get to use my mate as another shield without consenting me first? No offense to Bella, I love her like a sister but I am not okay with you deciding who gets to fight for your mate!" She snapped, curt words aimed directly at her brother as both their gazes were steadily trained on one another.
The Cullen family grew silent, Alessia and Edward very rarely had misunderstandings. The two had an equal outlook on life most days but whenever they did argue it was not pretty, in fact, the situation was deadly.
Rosalie's cautious eyes were trained on her sisters, partly wary she might actually attack her brother and partly proud she had spoken up about the issue. Edward had far too long taken his family for granted and done things without their input for the benefit of Bella Swan and it wasn't until today that finally someone challenged him.
The eldest sibling sighed, resigning his stance as he nodded, "I'm sorry, alright? I just didn't know what to say. Can you forgive me?"
Her golden eyes contracted slightly, clearly debating her brothers words as she clicked her tongue and answered, "we will see."
Her words left more mystery then resolve as Edwards confused gaze fell upon his mate, Bella relieved that the blowout hadn't gotten out of hand chose to conveniently move her faze away. She stared at her best friends retreating friend, wondering just what exactly she had meant.
Alessia kept her palm wrapped tightly around Rosalie who led her towards the burly Emmett, his pink lips pulled into a grin. His arm wrapped around Rosalie's waist, pulling her into his warm embrace as he looked around her head towards the smaller female. "Damn red."
"He deserved it," Rosalie sneered. "Thinks that we all will bend over backwards for Bella, I would yell at him myself for involving you if it not for the fact you enjoy it."
"He did deserve it," Alessia nodded. "Maybe next time he will know it's a democracy between the family and a dictatorship of me between twins."
Emmett and Rosalie laughed, the former stopping before whistling and grinning down towards his sibling. "The wolves are coming, the wolves are coming."
Alessia glared his way, choosing not to reply with a sarcastic comment and instead standing a little straighter as she distinguished which was which. Her mental link was shut off at the moment as she didn't need a million different thoughts in her head, she had the ability to pick and choose which connections she wanted to open and close, it was more of a blessing then anything considering it took Edward months to learn how to block them out.
Alessia eyed her brother who stood directly by her side the moment the wolves came over the trees. She sighed, knowing he was just being protective. Rosalie's hand seemed to tighten in her own as the Cullens lined up and everyone awaited for Carlisle to be the first to break the ice.
He cleared his throat, the blonde male taking a step forward and looking between the two mind readers.
Alessia stayed silent, refusing to hear any of the wolves and instead flickering her eyes to meet Edwards who nodded in acceptance before she could even say anything. His response was short to Carlisle. "They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms."
The blonde man nodded, understand their reasons. "They came. That's what matters. Will you translate?"
Edward nodded his head in response
"Welcome. Jasper and Alessia have experience dealing with these situations. They will teach us how to defeat them." He spoke aloud, pulling his hand out to both teenagers who stepped out. Immediately Alessia felt bare, locking her muscles into place as she noticed Jacobs eyes contract when she stepped forward and a huff escape his lips. Jasper stepped closer towards her, brushing his arm against hers ever so softly as to remind her she was right there, she nodded softly his way in appreciation.
Edward listened to Sam's voice in his head, calling out questions. "They want to know how the 'newborns' is differ from us."
Jasper was he first to speak as he was the one with the knowledge there. "They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful... ...than in our first several months of this life. Carlisle's right. That's why they are created. A newborn army, doesn't need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them. The two most important things to remember are, first... Never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly."
His head tilted towards the strawberry blonde, expecting her to finish his statement and a smile of glee took over her features. Alessia was not like her sisters who took an interest in finish or her brother who loved to read literature and play music, she enjoyed combat. Her hobby was learning how to incapacitate other and quickly, the girl knew every fighting style known to man, that was one of the many reason why her and Jasper were so compatible as ally's. She was always prepared for the worst to hit her family, which would soon come.
She stood a little straighter, her voice slightly deeper. "The second... Never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that. And you will lose. Fight smart, but fight like your life is on the line... which it is if you don't think."
Jacob and the wolves grew wary, for the first time actually seeing how much of a threat the strawberry blonde actually was. Yes, she was a vampire and they were very aware of that but now they seemed to notice a whole other side to the girl, she was a survivalist... she would probably be the hardest to kill if they ever tried.
Alessia nodded toward Jasper, stepping back as he prepared to fight Emmett who gladly took a place in the open air.
The training went on afterwards, each member of the family participating except Alessia who simply watched and yelled out tips and suggestions. It was clear to the wolves, she was very good at it, as everything she said could end a life very easily.
In the end it was her that was left without so much as having lifted a finger, Alessia quietly walked towards the center of the open space, looking down the line of her family and her eyes stopping against her brothers. "Edward?"
A huff of anger followed, paws pushing dirt up from the line of the wolves. Alessia didn't so much as move her head, not bothering to give Jacob the satisfaction as knowing she was able to handle herself.
It was Edward that voiced his thoughts, although clearly it wasn't needed as she could guess what was going through his mind. Her brother mocking smile annoyed her, "Jacob doesn't want you to fight Alessia, he doesn't want me to hurt you."
She scoffed, nodding her head into the circle. "Edward, I asked you to fight me."
Edward dropped his smile, releasing Bella to Alice who smiled kindly at the human. He was on the opposite side of the field in a blink of an eye, tilting his head at his sister as Alessia smirked his way challenging.
"No cheating?" Edward questioned.
"No manipulation." She nodded, her steps slow, catlike as she calculated her movements.
The air around the clearing grew quiet, only Alice's voice letting Bella and the wolves what was happening. "Edwards and Alessia are both fast and smart, identical. He can't read her mind and she refuses to use her abilities when fighting, they are an even match."
Alessia grinned at her brother, a gesture for him to attack first and so he did. He ran straight towards her, feet kicking up dirt as he ran, Alessia pushing forward as well. They slammed against one another and it was like a boulder being dropped, her hands tightened around his midsection and she threw him over her head. Edward recovered quickly, turning around and looking at his sister.
He once more pushed her way but this time Alessia slammed one of her hands into his chest, pushing him back with so much force it sent him right to the edge of trees, he shook off the clear crack to his diamond skin, momentarily stunned. Alessia didn't give him time to recover because she was running up to him and jabbing her knee right into his stomach. With the pain enveloping him she grasped his head and instead of ripping it straight off like she would of if he were a newborn she lifted him up and threw him over her shoulder once more. He landed with an audible thud, Alessia placing her boot over his neck.
Edward coughed the more pressure she applied, feeling the skin slowly start to break as his sister continued. She crossed her arms without a care, "say it! Say it!"
"You win! You win!" He coughed out once the pressure was too much.
His sister nodded, dropping her foot and clapping her hands together. "That's like 58-4 and that's a consecutive 58."
Edward stood up, annoyance clear on his face as his sister practically skipped towards Rosalie. Despite the anger of losing her couldn't help but smile at her own grin, she was being carefree, a trait that he didn't see much. And he knew he would fight Alessia and lose every time if it meant keeping her smiling that way.
