James and I were sitting by the fire in the common room planning our next prank. Things had been quiet in the castle lately and it was putting the teachers on edge not knowing when (or where) we would strike. Remus was reading a muggle book in his favorite armchair. Peter, who has been acting rather odd lately, had gone up to the dorms an hour ago, complaining of a headache. Considering the fact that it's a Tuesday night, the common room was surprisingly deserted except for the three of us.

I had no idea where Sirius was at the moment but it didn't worry me too much. He would never (intentionally) get in trouble without having one of us with him.

Ever since his brother, Regulus, mentioned it at the quidditch match, I had started to pay attention to the rumors spreading through Hogwarts. Most people seemed to believe that I was either dating Sirius or dating Remus and having an affair with Sirius.

"Potter!" Sirius cried as he barged through the portrait hole, interrupting my train of thought.

"What did I do?" James and I asked in unison.

"Not you, James," Sirius said. "Laura! What have you done with my red hoodie?" He demanded.

Smirking slightly, I said, "That's for me to know and you to find out." Honestly, I had no idea where it was at the moment.

Flopping onto the couch, he whined, "But I want to know where it is now."

Jumping onto the couch, I crawled into his lap. Hugging Sirius tightly, I said, "I'll give it back tomorrow. Okay, my Prince?"

Sighing in defeat, he said, "Okay, Princess."

Suddenly, out of seemingly nowhere, I said, "Sirius, you smell good."

Laughing, he looked down at me and asked, "Did you siriusly just smell me?"

"Maybe I did," I answered. "What are you gonna do about it?"

Throughout all of this, Remus made no sign of hearing us. The only indication that he was alive was the occasional turning of a page. James, however, eyed us quizzically.

"So our plans for Thursday are set?" James asked me.

"Most definitely," I told him, snuggling into Sirius's side.

****Sirius's POV****

Once snuggled comfortably into my side, Laura fell asleep quickly. When Remus finished his book, he and James wordlessly made their way up to our dorm room. Standing up carefully, I picked Laura up bridal style and carried her up the steps.

Placing her gently on Remus's bed, I kissed her forehead lightly and mumbled a quick good night to Remus. Jumping into my bed, I told James good night as well. Peter was already asleep so there was no use in saying anything to him.

Silence and darkness soon surrounded us.

"Sirius," a voice said from the general area of James's bed.

"Yes, James?" I asked, bracing myself for whatever he might say.

"If you like my sister, you can just tell me. I swear I won't kill you or anything." He said.

Damn. Is it that noticeable?

"And if you two start dating," James continued, hesitating slightly, "I'm okay with it."

"She's right here in the room, James! Lower your voice," I scolded.

"We could all be screaming at the top of our lungs and she still wouldn't wake up," Remus said from his spot next to her.

Knowing that I wouldn't be able to get myself out of this conversation, I voiced my fears, "But what if she doesn't like me back? I mean, why would she? She deserves better than me."

"Honestly, Sirius," Remus yawned. "She likes you too. It's quite obvious. There is no one better for her than you. You two are perfect for each other."

"Really?"I asked, smiling.

"Really," James agreed.

****Laura's POV****

What James and Sirius didn't know was that I had woken up as soon as Sirius layed me down on Remus's bed. I had heard everything that had been said. I wasn't sure if Remus knew or not.

"See?" Remus whispered into my hair as the boys' snores filled the room. "I told you that he liked you back."

"Sorry for doubting you. It won't happen again," I mumbled.

"I know it won't," he sassed. "You owe me a candy bar."

"Not so fast, Moon Moon. The bet isn't over yet," I whispered, rolling over to face him. "Our ship has yet to sail."

"It will soon," he mumbled. "Good night, Laura."

"Good night, Remus." I said through a yawn, drifting off to sleep.

****James's POV****

I lay in bed listening to Laura and Remus's conversation (which was hard to do considering the fact that both Peter and Sirius were snoring). I knew she hadn't been asleep. She is literally the world's lightest sleeper. Although I wasn't against her dating Sirius, it was still weird to think of her doing "things" with someone. But, dating him would make two of my favorite people happy.

Time to play matchmaker, James

My plan was to have them together by Halloween, which was only a month away. Since Laura had heard the conversation with Sirius, that made my job a lot easier. Hopefully Remus and Peter would help me put my plan into place. On Thursday, I would find out...
