=Eloise=

My car now securely on the side of the road the vehicle behind me came to a halt a safe distance away. I unbuckled and opened my door, ready to see what could possibly be so important that he would literally put not only himself but all of us in danger by driving like that.

But when he pulled his helmet off my entire angry reserve washed away upon seeing his face, I nearly melted just being in his presence.

But upon closer inspection (thanks to the light shining from having my door open) I could see that he looked upset, no...pissed off.

"You know you could've simply asked for my number instead of stalking me." I said in an attempt to lighten the mood as I closed the door and turned to give him my full attention now.

But my teasing didn't work.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" He asked angrily.

I was completely confused, what could I possibly have done that would garner this sort of random outburst from him...I mean I hardly spoke to him tonight, and I sure as shit don't know him well enough to have him talking to me like that?

"Well if you'd let me," I said, coping more attitude than I normally would have.

There was something about this guy, he really did know how to get a rise out of me.

"...I was trying to get back to town so that I can get something to eat and then go to sleep."

"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" He asked, his anger making his voice sound almost animalistic. Before I could ask what he was talking about he moved his hand to gesture toward the back of my car. "Did you honestly not feel how fucked up your tire is?"

I glanced down to where he was telling me to look but in the dark (as there were no lights out here) I couldn't see my tires, I only knew they were there by all logical reasoning.

He sighed and I looked at him. He ran his hand through his hair before he looked at me, his eyes were softer now. He crouched down toward the back of my car and ran a hand over my tire, "these tires are bald, they have no traction...riding on these alone can be dangerous."

I only nodded because I seriously had no idea what the hell he was going on about. Had he seriously stopped me because my car needs new tires?

I knew this.

Yes my car was new to me, but it wasn't a brand new car. This was the medium that Juliette and I agreed upon, there was no way in hell I was going to let her buy me a brand new car and she was insistent on me leaving with a car. When I found my car both Juliette and I knew it would need some work done here and there but I was willing to invest in it.

"Hart!"

My heart beat rapidly. I looked at him once more, dazed by his deep voice, enticed by his intense stare...I lost my voice and awaited his next words.

"You have a ball in your tire, it's causing your tire to wobble, if you keep driving on it you could have a blow out."

"I-I didn't know." I nearly whispered out of embarrassment.

He smirked slightly.

"I was trying to wave you down when I saw you and your friends back out of the parking spot back there."

I didn't know what to say.

"Look, there's no way I'm letting you drive in the dark on tires these bad," he sounded. "My friends can make sure your friends get home and I will personally make sure that you're safe."

"I can ride with them."

"The cars gonna be pretty full with the three people that are already in there." He filled me in.

I looked at him and he looked pretty determined, "fine, let me tell the girls."

I got back into my car. Neither of the girls looked pleased, "well it looks like I'm going to have to leave my car here until I can get it towed to a shop...so Roc and his friends are gonna give us a lift back into town."

"We heard." Clem said flatly.

"You guys, this wasn't my idea or anything."

"We know" Belinda sighed, "it's just...there's rules Eloise."

I nodded and put my hands up, "I know, I know...my sister told me the rules about inviting people into the town, but you guys...it's either go with them or walk all the way back, I know if my sister finds out she will understand."

The girls looked at each other, "do we really have a choice?" Clem asked.

I shrugged, I honestly didn't think we had any other choices. "It could be worse, they might not have seen my car and let us drive on, tire may or may not have held up, if it didn't we'd be lucky if I simply went off the road."

"Dramatic much?" Belinda asked.

"Well at the risk of sounding like a bitch...Y'all do what you want, I'll see you back in town." I said before I got out of the car again.

I walked right up to Roc, "you better be serious about them getting home safely or so help me I will make your life a living hell."

He tried to fight back a smirk.

But without any words he looked at me, stepped forward, and handed me his helmet.

"W-what are you gonna wear?" I asked as I followed him back toward his bike.

He looked back at me, "I'll be fine."

I rolled my eyes and put the large helmet on.

With the helmet on I felt like one of those novelty bobble head toys.

"Ever been on a motorcycle before?"

I shook my head 'no' and he smiled.

My legs could've turned to jelly at the sight. Mister smirks-a-lot actually showed me a real honest to god genuine smile, and damn was it heartbreaking.

It was the kind of smile that you see once and you would do anything to see again.

That's why it was so heartbreaking.

The fact that after tonight I wouldn't be guaranteed another chance at seeing him. After tonight I seriously doubt that any of the girls will talk to me again, sure I could just go out to the woods by myself, I'm sure I was fully capable of finding the spot on my own...but running into them would be awkward.

He got onto his Harley with ease, then he held his hand out to me, I took his hand thinking he was going to help me onto the bike, "okay first things first, you're gonna have to hold onto me, so if you have any aversions to that...get over it quickly."

I nodded.

"Second" He simply continued, "I know you're gonna want to do it, it's your body's natural reaction...but when we come to curves you're going to have to lean into them and don't try to pull yourself in the opposite direction, if you do we may throw off the balance and the bike along with us, we will fall and it will hurt."

Suddenly he let go of my hand.

"Come to think of it," he said before he removed his jacket. "Wear this as well."

I knew he couldn't see my face but he must've sensed my hesitation.

"It's a leather riding jacket, if something happens I'll feel better knowing you're covered."

I figured there was no sense in fussing so I took the jacket. I slide my arms into the sleeves, they were too long and the jacket was still warm from his body.

"Whenever you're ready Hart."
