As I sat at the large dining table I pushed my food around the plate and sighed as I looked down and contemplated just eating without Dorian.

Once again another Alpha meeting was cutting into our time and normally I would be fine with waiting on Dorian...but tonight Eloise's words haunted my thoughts.

"...does he stand you up and leave you out of the loop a lot?"

I sighed as I picked up a carrot off my plate and ate it without thought. I shook my head, if Eloise ever found out about Dorian and the pack she'd freak out for sure, I'd lose her forever... only then she would see that Dorian is an important man, and important men like him don't have time to explain everything to people, including their mates, and that the pack ALWAYS comes first.

Once again I shook my head as more of her worries came forward, "If he's the leader then that means he makes the rules."

"If only that were so." I said to myself with another sigh.

I knew that Dorian, even though he had taken the position of Alpha, still had to answer to his father and for whatever reason, his father wasn't a huge fan of me.

I silently grew agitated.

Eloise was new to all of this and even more so she didn't know what was going on with me or the pack...so why should she just come around and make me feel like my life is an unhappy one. Implying that Dorian doesn't care for me just because I don't sit in on meetings.

I sighed and shook my head.

I was being paranoid for whatever reason.

I know my sister, and I know that no matter what we've only ever wanted to see each other happy. So there's no way she's purposely rag on my relationship with Dorian.

It's like she said earlier, she just has to get to know him better.

"My deepest apologies my beauty." Dorian sounded and he kissed my hair gently before taking his seat opposite me and digging into his food.

"Dorian." I sounded curiously as I just sat there and watched him insuring his food like a competitive eater.

"Yeah?" He asked barely looking up at me as he stopped eating.

"Could your father not stay for dinner?" I asked as I had not only already set a spot for him at the dinner table, but also made sure I made enough food for him as well...making sure to take his dislikes into consideration as I prepared tonight's dinner.

He shook his head, "no, business called him to leave otherwise we may have been in there for a couple hours longer...how was your day?" He asked as he only went back to his plate set before him

"Fine." I sounded less than enthusiastic now. "You know I really wish I knew your father wouldn't be joining us for dinner...we could've just gotten fast food or something."

"Glad to hear it." He said absentmindedly.

I sighed as I realized he wasn't listening f to a thing I said and I wanted him to pay me a title more attention so I reached for his hand and he stilled upon my touch as he looked up and his eyes met mine, "I was thinking, it's been awhile since you and I have had any alone time together."

He nodded his understanding and I watched as a sexy smile filled his face..."then perhaps we should skip dinner and go straight to dessert."

Dorian was out of his chair with a quickness and scooped me up in his arms bridal style and carefully carried me into our master bedroom, he placed me gently onto our bed before we underdressed ourselves, got under the blanket, and continued to make love until I tired.

Afterward I got up and showered before getting into some pajamas and deciding to call it a night.

"Won't you come to bed with me?" I asked Dorian as I found him sitting at the desk.

He pulled his eyes away from his screen and smiled over at me before he collected his laptop and physically got into bed with me,laptop in tow.

I laughed and gave him a sweet goodnight kiss before turning my back to him so I wouldn't see the glare from his laptop.

In the morning I woke up to the sound of my alarm as I knew I had to get to class, I looked over but wasn't surprised to find Dorian already gone, I got up and got ready for the day before heading downstairs.

Dorian greeted me warmly as he handed me my usual coffee in a to go cup.

"Thanks handsome." I said as I gave his cheek a quick peck.

"Have a good day my beauty."

When I got into my car I checked my phone, surprisingly I didn't have any texts or calls, I was tempted to go by the apartment to see if Eloise had come home or not but I also didn't want to be late. I ended up just going straight to school and once in class as I waited for the professor to get there I pulled out my phone and text my sister.

[Juliette: Don't make any plans this evening, I want you to have dinner with Dorian and I, we can go out to my favorite restaurant in the city so dress up and be ready around 7.]

She didn't text back so I knew she must've still been asleep.

I also went ahead and sent Dorian a text as well.

[Juliette: I invited Eloise to have dinner with us tonight in the city at 7]

[Dorian: My Love as much as I'd adore having dinner with the lovely Hart sisters I may have to work this evening.]

I smirked as I knew he most certainly did NOT have anything planned.

[Juliette: I cleared your schedule last night, there was nothing pressing anyways so Do Not make plans because I'm looking forward to have you take me to my favorite restaurant.]

It took him a minute to reply, he was no doubt checking his schedule, and all he originally had planned for this evening was a meeting to go over blueprints on a building someone wanted to put the travers name on...so I rescheduled it for the following morning.

[Dorian: Well then, looks like I'll be the luckiest man tonight, a night on the town with my beauty and the elusive Miss Eloise.]

I smiled and texted a final 'I love you' before I knew he really did have work to do.

I couldn't help but admit to myself, even though I was extremely glad that Eloise had found friends here I was also a little jealous that she seemed too busy to hang out with me, and I knew she would only have a harder time fitting me into her life as soon as she starts school or she finds a job.

The professor finally walked in and I put my cellphone away and in turn pulled open my laptop and quickly began to take down notes as I wasn't sure what would or wouldn't be on the up coming exam.
