=Juliette=

I sat behind my desk awaiting my boss to come out of the meeting and tell me I could go to lunch.

I was surprised when I woke up this morning and didn't have a text or anything from Dorian, unfortunately I did have a call and a voicemail from work.

"Emergency meeting 10am bring all the briefing you've done on the case."

For a sliver of a moment I got excited at the thought of actually being able to sit in on the meeting and get to see first hand how things are done. But as I'm still a law student and basically interning as a paralegal I'm just allowed to do the work and reap no rewards.

"Juliette, you're still here?" Clearly Mr Michaels had forgotten I was there, "...all we really needed was the documents, you could've left, go...enjoy the rest of your week."

"Yes sir, and thank you." I sounded politely.

As soon as I got onto the elevator I scowled, I couldn't believe that pompous jerk just forgot I was sitting out there. I had wasted my entire afternoon just sitting there waiting for him to dismiss me.

I looked at my phone, it was already 3pm so I decided I would stop and pick up some movies for this evening.

The selection was wide and I wasn't quite sure which genre I wanted to watch more.

As I made my way down the aisle looking at all the blu-rays I had settled on a few classics that Elouise and I could watch over and over.

Then my phone rang.

I looked down and silently prayed that it wouldn't be my boss asking me to come back. But it was from Dorian.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Let me just start off by apologizing for being a complete asshole and yelling last night...like always, you were right, and if you're pissed off at me I'm more than ready to make it up to you my beauty."

I smiled lovingly as I held the phone up, "I know you were just taken back by the fact that Roc Wylde showed up on your lands."

He sighed, "Yeah...Anyways, come over...I need to see you." He sounded seductively.

I hesitated at first, "I'll come over but I have to leave at a decent hour...I really just want to have a chill night hanging out with my sister."

"Speaking of, when can I finally meet her?"

"Tomorrow" I smiled, as I thought about my mate and my little sister meeting finally. "But hey, let me just pay for these movies and I'll be over round yours in a bit."

"Alright, drive safe my beauty."

I smiled and told him goodbye before hanging up.

I looked down at my cellphone and saw the time, I had been at the pack house for going on two hours and unfortunately Dorian had been busy for the majority of my time here.

I hated that we both seemed extremely busy these days, but I also knew how important of a role he has.

And as his mate I'd do anything to show I support him one hundred percent.

As I sat on the large sofa flipping through the pages of the unread book that sat atop my lap I sighed, I knew I didn't have much longer to hang out around here before I had to get home.

As I thought more about it, I wondered what Eloise had done today in my absence.

[Juliette: We still on for tonight?]

It didn't take her very long to respond.

[Eloise: of course, why wouldn't I want to hang out with the best sister in the world?]

In a way I was picking up a hint of sarcasm in her text, but I quickly dismissed it as I knew I hadn't done anything to wrong her.

[Juliette: Good, I should be home in about an hour and a half.]

After that I went in search of my handsome mate.

I didn't have to go far as I knew I'd find him in his office (per the usual) sitting at his desk.

"Knock knock" I sounded with a smile.

He smiled back at me.

"Everything alright handsome?"

He nodded "it is now." After that he stood up and snaked his arms around my middle to draw me in closer. He kissed my lips gently and I could feel him trying to pull away but I wanted to prolong the kiss so that it would turn into something more.

But as soon as things started to get too hot and heavy he pulled back.

"Why do you keep pushing me away Handsome?" I asked as he cupped my face tenderly.

I looked into his nearly pleading eyes, "I'm not, you know I love you my beauty and obviously want you...I just have a lot of work tonight."

I rolled my eyes but I stepped up again and kissed his lips once more.

"Fine, but this weekend you're all mine and I don't care what's going on I swear if Anyone interrupts us I'm going to murder them." I said and stole another kiss

He laughed at my dramatics and I finally took off.

Once I got home I noticed that Eloise's car still wasn't in the issued parking space so I knew it must still be in some random car shop in the city.

I had to admit when she first told me about her car had to be towed, my mind (maybe having been talking about Him previously) tied together Roc's being here in town with my sister...but I knew that couldn't be further from the truth.

The fact of the matter is my sister is new here in town...and Roc Wylde, from what I know is nothing but a hotheaded playboy who acts before he thinks and puts his people in the crossfires without a care to the world.

I walked in and found my sister coming out of her bedroom, I smiled over at her and she returned it with her own.

"How was your day?" I asked as I put my purse down and stepped out of my heels.

She thought about her answer before responding, "informative and a little strange."

"Oh?" I asked.

"Yeah, Clem and I went to the museum and I learned a lot about different things like cultures and species I didn't know existed...things I only though we're myths came to life so vividly, it all seemed so surreal."

I nodded my head, who knows what exhibits she had seen but she definitely seemed worked up about it.

"Can I ask you a question Jules?"

I looked over at her, "you know we can talk about anything."

"Can we?"

I looked at her a little closer...I could tell she had something on her mind. "What's on your mind?"

"How did you react when you found out the truth about Dorian?"

My heart beat wildly within my chest. Was Eloise talking about Dorian being a wolf?!

"Excuse me?" I asked stunned.

"I mean, what was your reaction when you found out someone you love so deeply hid such a huge secret from you...you know, like being rich?"

I let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Well I was confused, but I think I was a little more sad about the fact that he didn't feel like I was capable of dealing with the truth."

She only nodded, "yeah, I think I'd be pretty pissed too if I ever found out someone close to me hid something so important."
