Many people believe that in the werewolf world, it is all about fighting territory but that isn't all that we do. In fact, we rarely go to war against each other. In a few instances, we would fight against occasional rogue packs, but packs could live in peace for thirty plus years and not encounter a single war or battle.

My dad has always raised me with the knowledge that protecting your pack doesn't rely mainly on your fighting skills. It is your knowledge for survival and capability to assess situational issues. It is the ability to recognize when a pack is becoming restless and giving them something to do.

I looked at divided teams of juveniles and named warriors before me. Usually, my dad would lead these team competitions. However, I know the reason as to why he decided to let me train them today. One day, these pack members would become warriors. They would need a General who can lead them. He knows how much I want this.

The juveniles consist of my entire class of twenty-five juveniles and newly matured wolves. The opposing team consists of fourteen named warriors who volunteered for today's activity. Every one of them carried a look of competitiveness. They wanted to win badly.

"Team A, my classmates, would be the aggressors. Their goal is to make it past our warriors, the retaliators also known as team B, and plant their twenty-five individual bombs," I lifted a small rock in my hand indicating and showing an example of what the bomb was, "in the base of Team B's camp. If Team A is detected and tagged, they must wait to be freed by one of their teammates who carries the key before Team B searches your body and take your bomb from you. If they find it before you are freed, you are out of the game."

I lifted a red ribbon in my hand to show them what the key looked like.

"So, there is only one key?" one of my classmates spoke up.

I nodded. "Whoever has the ribbon, hands the key off to the frozen teammate. The frozen teammate would be the next person who holds the key and would proceed in freeing up any captured teammates but at the same time delivering their bomb safely to their Team B's camp."

"Easy," one of my classmates boasted. His eyes looked at the rest of my classmates.

"Don't get cocky yet, boy. We won't go easy on you," one of the male warriors retorted with a smirk.

"We aren't afraid. We can do this," one of my female classmates stepped out from behind someone else in my line of vision. Her name was Missy.

The warriors laughed in unison. Their eyes regarded my classmate amusingly.

"Will you be playing too, Sage?" Danny, my classmate inquired.

I nodded. "I'll be on your team."

He relaxed when he heard that.

"It isn't fair though. They only have fourteen players," Missy pointed out.

"Fourteen is more than enough to beat twenty-five juvies," one of my dad's warrior intervened.

I chuckled and nodded my head. He was right. Fourteen was more than enough. I began handing out the small rocks to my classmate. They began stuffing it into their pockets. One of the boys thought about stuffing it down his underwear.

"Not a chance, Keith. Nobody is going to stuff their hands down your private parts," I scolded him.

He laughed. "That's exactly what I want."

"We don't mind stuffing our hands down his pants," a female warrior smirked before wiggling her eyebrows.

Keith gulped before stuffing his rock in his pocket for now. The females laughed and giggled at Keith's reaction.

"It isn't fair though," Ensley, my dad's female warrior said suddenly and catches my attention.

"Why isn't it fair?" I asked.

"You're playing," she replied.

"And I can't?" I raised an eyebrow.

"You are Gamma Judah's daughter."

"And?" I prodded further, a smile appearing on my face.

She shifted on her feet nervously. "I'm just saying that you are more skilled than any of us here."

"I'll join Team B."

I whipped around to look behind me. Liam was walking over casually dressed in jogging pants and a black t-shirt. He looked so casual but so damn sexy. Our eyes collided and an image of last night rendezvous outside my window flashed across my mind.

"Ok," Ensley agreed immediately.

"What? He's not even a warrior," I pointed out.

Liam moved to stand next to me with his hands stuffed into his pocket. I can smell the hint of his body wash. He must have just woken up and taken a shower or something.

"So?" He played dumb.

I turned to glare at him. "And you just took a shower."

He smirked then. "I'm glad you notice, Sage."

"We would be running. You'll sweat all over again."

"Then we can take a shower after."

"W-we?" I sputtered.

I am fully aware that everyone was listening to our conversation even though they were pretending to look at any other place but us. I felt warmth heating up my face after I sputtered that word.

"What I meant was we all would be taking individual showers, Sage, unless you want—"

"Alright, you can play," I snapped and turned away from him.

The game started out rough with only three small rocks within Team B's base camp. Two of our teammates were captured and stripped from their small rock. Five of them are captured while the teammate who had the ribbon was running around rampant. Frustration welled up inside of me. I wanted to throttle the teammate who wasn't listening.

Finally, he got his mindset straight and was able to free one which freed up two more. The small rocks began making into Team B's base camp, one by one. Everything was starting to look up when I suddenly I am knocked onto the ground before reaching base camp. Someone knocked the air out of me and it took me a minute to learn how to breathe again.

I struggled to get the weighted person off me. Then I felt tingles erupted from the skin on my lower back. I stopped moving. Liam crawled on top of my body. We were hidden behind two large bushes. No one could see at this point.

"Get off me," I growled.

"Why?" he asked while his fingers skimmed up the side of my hips to my waist. I trembled underneath his careful exploration.

"Liam," I protested but it came out in a mewed tone. His eyes darkened for a second. I felt his hands drifted lower to the side of my pants. My eyes widened, and I began squirming.

"Stop!" I protested again.

"Stop touching you or stop searching for the rock? Where do you have it hidden? Tell me and I'll stop my exploring your body," he murmured.

I clenched my teeth and used my elbow to hit him in the jaw. It was supposed to knock him over, but he barely flinched. The man was made of metal. I swear he didn't even blink.

"Ok! Ok! I will tell you. Just get off me," I said quickly.

His eyes narrowed, and I raised an eyebrow.

"I don't believe you," he replied.

"How about this? If you don't get off me, I'll kick you where the sun doesn't shine."

"But that is the most important part of my body. It's what I would use to give us babies," he replied candidly.

I huff in frustration before struggling to push him off me. His hand slipped into my pocket. I felt heat touch my thigh and I stopped. He was so close.

"It's either I search you or someone else would. I don't think you would like it if I tear apart one of the pack members for touching what is mine," he growled.

"I-I can show you where it is. There is really no need for searching," I lied.

He chuckled darkly at my response.

"Why do I not believe a word you just said?" he responded.

His other hand slipped underneath me to my back pocket where the small rock was. I felt it slid over my ass. He felt the rock because his hand stopped moving. I needed to distract him. I grabbed onto the side of his face and smacked his lips onto mine. He froze. I sucked on his lower lip before threading my hands through his hair and tugging on them harshly to get him to respond to me.

He growled a second later before kissing me back. His tongue plunged right in. I can taste the mint toothpaste. My tongue slid across his teeth before tangling with his tongue again. I savored the weight of his body over mine. It made me feel safe and warm. I liked it. I liked it a little too much.

A few minutes later, he ripped his lips from mine. We were both breathing hard. Then he lifted one hand and revealed the small rock in my back pocket. The asshole got my rock.

"Give it back!" I tried to grab it.

He laughed before rolling off me. I wanted to kick him so bad. He stood up just as I did.

"There you two are," someone said from nearby.

I turned to see everyone walking our way.

"Ten small rocks made it to base camp. Everybody else was searched and captured. We won," Ensley smiled.

I turned to glare at Liam. I hate losing and I hate the fact that I lost to Liam. A look of satisfaction appeared on his face. He leaned forward, and I felt his lips brushed against my ear.

"Thanks for the kiss, Kitten," he replied.

When he pulled back I gave him a smile before punching him hard in the chest.

"Shut up," I growled before walking away.

I heard him jogging to catch up to me.

"Can't take a loss?" he asked.

"I didn't lose," I replied.

He walked up to my side as we continued up the hill to the packhouse. The sky was gray and cloudy. There was a slight chill to the air but I welcomed the coolness against my heated skin.

"You did. Admit it. Just say it out loud, Kitten," he taunted.

"How about, 'fuck you'?" I responded.

He raised an eyebrow.

"You know what I meant!" I grumbled.

"What are your plans today?" he switched the subject.

I shrugged. "I told Ellie we would hang out."

He looked slightly disappointed, but he nodded. "I'll be home then."

I nodded my response as we reached the front of the packhouse. I turned to face him.

"How is your sister doing?" I asked.

"I don't know," he replied honestly.

"Don't you think you should go see her?" I prodded further.

He smirked. "I am not very good with pregnant women. I think her mate would handle her just fine."

I smiled and couldn't help but agree with him. There was no one else who was better at taking care of a mate's need besides their mate. I wondered if Liam would take care of me that way too. Liam must have seen where my thoughts were traveling to but he didn't say anything.

"Well, I best go see her before she gets upset," I replied awkwardly.

"Where will you two be going?" he asked.

"Knowing Ellie, we would be heading into town," I told him with a small smile.

He nodded before turning and walking in the direction of his home. I guess he didn't ride his bike here. I wondered if he came here only to see if I was here. I watched him leave before turning to walk inside the packhouse.

I met Ellie in her Beta Ace's office. I caught the last part only from their conversation. Beta Ace excused Ellie from their meeting. On our way back, I asked her what their meeting was about.

"My dad wants me to go to the eastern packs to visit our allies since Alpha Hunter is stuck overseeing his mate's pregnancy. There is no one else to go except me."

"I could go with you," I replied.

She shook her head. "You are about to be announced Gamma of the pack. You need to stay here."

"But who would go with you?" I asked.

She shrugged. "My father is going to select a few warriors to come along."

"How do you feel about this? Are you excited?"

She flashed me a smile and I looked into her eyes. "I am. I haven't traveled that far yet. I am excited to meet new people and representing our pack."

I nodded, proud of her thinking. She wasn't going to back down and cower. She was going to face this adventure with a positive attitude. That was something I loved about her.

"So, when are you leaving?" I asked.

"In a few days. Dad Ace said that since I have applied to complete my last year early, I should be able to go in a few days. He'll handle in finalizing my graduation," she told me.

"In a few days?" I exclaimed. "But that's so short."

She smiled then. "That is why we will be partying all night tonight! We have to get Tommy to come too!"

"Party?" I scrunched up my nose.

"Yes!" she grabbed my hand and tugged me towards her room.

I am not a big fan of parties, but Ellie was my best friend and she was going away. I'll go for her. I remember Tommy telling me he didn't want to see me. I hope he does come along because I do miss him very much.
