I'm already awake, lying on what I wouldn't even call a bed while staring blankly into space. It's so boring in this stupid lab! I mean, everything is white, grey or glass!  Where's the colour? Where's something that might actually make me wanna be here? The two others in this "room" (though I think it's more of just a glass box with the world's most uncomfortable beds) are still asleep. My roommates, in case you're wondering, are subjects D-5120 and W-300172736 or, as I like to call them, Dino and Woolfster. I lie on the bed for a little while, entertaining myself by imagining characters, stories and the outside world. How I wish I could see it. I've forgotten what clouds and trees look like, it's been too long. You know what? That gives me an idea! What's stopping me from escaping? I'm sure that with Dino and Woolf's help we'll be outta here before you can say "ABC!" I just gotta tell them!
"Psst! Woolf! Wake up!" I whisper-shout.
"What is it?" Woolfster turns to look at me. "Can't you see I'm sleeping!"
"Actually, you're awake now but I just had an idea! Why don't we escape this lab? I mean, how hard could it be?"
"Probably very hard but fine, I'm in." he says.
"Awesome! Now we just gotta wake up DIno and go!"
"We're going now?" Woolf complains. "I just woke up!"
"Your point?" I ask, then begin shaking Dino vigorously to wake him up.
Eventually, he wakes up.
"What do you want?" Dino seems annoyed.
"I want to try to escape!" I reply.
"Really, Panther? Now?"
"Well, yes, when else?"
Dino sighs.
"Do you at least have a plan?" he asks.
I stare at him.
"I'll take that as a 'no.'" Dino says.
"Yeah, I kinda forgot about that part..."
"Idiot..."
"Hey!" I yell.
"You're lucky I have one. I can break the glass, with you two imbeciles standing back so you don't get cut, then we find a certain vent, I know where it is, after that you both follow me and don't make a single wrong turn and we should be as close to the exit as possible. We'll have to fight with some guards but we'll be free."
me and Woolfster listen as Dino explains his plan and, I've got to admit, it's a pretty decent one.
"Okay, sounds good!" Woolf says and I nod my head in agreement.
"Alright, move back." Dino instructs then smashes the glass enclosure. "Never thought being experimented on would come in handy!" he says.
We all leave the area, following Dino to a vent.
"Oh, that's a bit smaller than I thought it would be..." I mumble.
"You'll be fine, I'm sure Dino knows what he's doing...probably." Woolf attempts to comfort me.
"I heard that!" Dino yells.
We enter the vent. It's a tight squeeze but we all fit. It's cold, dark and scary.
"H-How long is the vent?" I stammer perhaps a bit too loud.
Then, Dino stops.
"Oi! What are you weasels doin' in 'ere!?"
It's a guard. This won't go well. He pulls out something that I vaguely recognise but I don't know from where. Then, he clicks something and everything fades away to darkness.

My writing motivation learned karate and uppercutted me so hard that I might (probably not though) end up making Chapter 2 today as well-

And I know I said there'll be a new plot and there will, just not in the first chapter.
