EPILOGUE
Bhumi's POV!
I was getting ready for the weekend night at the orphanage. It has been so long since I spent time with the kids and Madam Sofia.
Aryamann was lying on the bed playing peek-a-boo with our one-year-old daughter.
Zoya Mehrotra.
We lovingly call her Zo.
It has been a wonderful couple of years.
Happily married.
Madly in love.
Blissful motherhood.
And the workaholic Aryamann Mehrotra mostly works from home nowadays, helping me take care of the kids.
I joined Mehrotra Inc a few months ago as a trainee. And I am loving my work there.
"Aryamann, stop playing the same thing with her again and again. She is getting bored with your peek-a-boo," I said, and he pouted.
Can you imagine it? Aryamann pouting!
He got up from the bed and hugged me from behind.
"Is it necessary to go?" He whispered, making puppy eyes at me.
"Aryamann, we talked about this, didn't we? I hadn't stayed with the kids for the last few years. I miss staying with them. And they always call me, asking me to drop by. It's just alternate Sunday nights, Aryamann," I said, and he sighed.
"And moreover, you will be having your brother's only night after so long," I said smiling widely, and he rolled his eyes.
Aryamann's POV!
"Heyy, bhai," Gaurav came and hugged me.
"How wonderful isn't it? Bhumi chose exactly this day to spend at the orphanage?" Gaurav said grinning.
"What is so special today?" Daksh asked.
"You guys don't know??" Gaurav asked, looking shocked.
"No, we don't," I said for both of us.
"Today the Music and Fun radio station is relaunching RJ RAM'S show," Gaurav said, and I rolled my eyes.
"What do you mean by relaunch?"
"For the last few years, her show was stopped for some unknown reason. Today they are relaunching the show," he said.
"How did you know?"
"I have a friend working in the radio station. He just joined a few months back. And also, it's all over social media. They are giving so much promotion for this. It was a very loved show," Gaurav said.
He went inside and switched on the radio station.
"Hello, my lovely Mumbains. This is RJ RAM. Your all-time favourite. Yeah, I know, I know. You all missed me, didn't you? I did too. What can I do? I was busy with family life, friends. A lovely husband and three little sweethearts. That's right, guys, the doctor love has finally fallen in love," she laughed aloud.
And that laugh. Why does it sound so familiar?
"So, you know the number, right? Now what are you waiting for? Come on, take your phone and dial the number and share with me the various surprises in your life," the RJ said.
"Brothers, how about we go and surprise the RJ herself," Gaurav asked, making us frown.
"Have you gone crazy?" Daksh asked in disbelief.
"Just think about it, guys, everyone will be sharing the surprises in their life. And us, we go straight and surprise her. And the whole of Mumbai will never forget us," Gaurav said excitedly.
"They don't even know who we are, then how will they remember us, idiot?" I asked.
"Of course, we would introduce ourselves once we reach the studio. Come on. Tomorrow's tabloid headlines would be the infamous Mehrotra brothers' surprise for the lovely RJ RAM. Wouldn't that be wonderful?" Gaurav asked excitedly.
Gaurav somehow managed to drag us here to the studio, and with the help of his friend, we went inside.
Gaurav had already dialled the number, and we were walking towards the airing studio.
"Hello, this is RJ RAM, your all-time favourite. Who is talking to me right now?" The jockey asked cheerfully.
"Ah! My favourite. I really missed your show, sweetheart. And this is a fellow Mumbain," Gaurav said in a flirty tone, which the jockey ignored.
"Haa, so tell me about the most favourite surprise of your life," the jockey asked.
"It is about to happen," Gaurav said with a smirk.
"What do you mean by that?" The jockey asked in confusion.
"How about we come to your studio and give you a surprise?" Gaurav asked, and she laughed out loud.
I rolled my eyes. He says it's a surprise, and he is informing her in advance.
"Aryamann, I think I saw Zoya here," Daksh said with a confused look on his face.
"What?? How can you see Zo here? She is with Bhumi," I said, already missing my girls. Even the twins are with them. Maybe I should join them on their next visit.
"Yeah, right!!" Daksh said.
Gaurav was still talking to the RJ and laughing at something. And some of the workers were looking at us as if we grew extra heads.
Why are they staring like that?
Gaurav's friend guided us toward the studio where RJ RAM'S show is being aired.
Gaurav opened the door and made a surprise sound, and the chair turned around, and we were left shocked.
Sitting on the revolving chair, with headphones on her head, was my darling wife.
"Aryamann?" Bhumi asked stunned.
"Bhumi? You are an RJ? What's happening here? BHAI? Why didn't you tell us?" Gaurav asked in shock.
"If I had known, I would have definitely told you, Gaurav. But unfortunately, I didn't," I said, still staring at Bhumi.
I heard an excited squeal from outside and turned around to see my daughter sitting on some guy's shoulder clutching on his hair and grinning at me.
There was utter silence from inside the studio booth, and the show is still going on.
Someone got inside the booth and took the microphone from Bhumi and continued the show as if nothing shocking happened.
"So, my lovely Mumbai, here goes the surprise for you guys. The real identity of our dear RJ RAM. She is none other than the modern-day Cinderella of Mumbai...Bhumika Basu Mehrotra. Wife to the business legend Aryamann Mehrotra and mother to the mischievous duo Abhay and Samarth and cute little Zoya Mehrotra. So how about we listen to the most talked-about love story between this lovely couple. We will get back after a beautiful song. Stay tuned," she said and played a track, and I looked at her in disbelief.
Did she just turn it into a new idea for the show?
"Sorry, we can't let the TRP fall," the woman smiled sheepishly, and Bhumi rolled her eyes.
"Bhumi??" I called out.
"We will talk at home, Aryamann??" She smiled looking at me with the most innocent look on her face. And as usual, my heart melted.
God!! She could get away with a murder with that look.
When did I become such a softie!!!
"Da, da, da," I heard my little girl blabbering, asking for me to pick her up.
I took her from the guy, and she gave me a sloppy kiss on my cheek, making a smack sound against my cheeks.
As we sat at the booth, the woman gave us the microphones to be pinned on our dress, and she began the show.
"So, Mr. Mehrotra, how did your epic love story begin?" She asked.
I looked at Bhumi and smiled.
Bhumi, the love of my life.
"It started with a dare."

Bhumi's POV:
It was such a shock.
Out of the blue, Aryamann and his brothers appeared in my studio while I was doing the show.
And the senior manager turned it around and made it a new idea.
Now the whole world knows our love story.
But Aryamann was giving me the silent treatment now.
I can't blame him either.
How could I hide such an important thing from him?
I should have told him earlier.
I myself have no idea why I didn't tell him.
On the way back, we picked up the twins from the orphanage.
I was supposed to leave all three of them there, but Zoya woke up when I was about to leave. And if I had left her there, she would have created a ruckus, waking up everyone else too. So I brought her along.
"Aryamann. Talk to me," I begged.
"Why should I? How does it matter if I talk to you or not?" He asked.
"I didn't mean to hide this from you," I said.
"Oh really?"
"It just didn't come up in any conversations," I said.
"Come up with a better excuse, Bhumi," he said.
"Okay fine. There is no excuse. I am at fault. I know. I should have let you know before. Please forgive me, my love," I said, and he still had a straight face.
"It doesn't matter," he said offhandedly.
But I know. It matters to him. We are supposed to share everything with each other.
Then how could I hide it from Aryamann?
We reached the orphanage and stepped out of the car.
Madam Sofia was waiting for us in the living room.
"Hello, Mr. Mehrotra. How are you doing?" Sofia asked.
"All good, Ma'am," Aryamann said with a polite smile.
"Please take a seat. I will get you something to drink," Sofia said.
"Oh no. It's too late for hospitalities, Ma'am. I wouldn't want to bother you at this time of night. We dropped by to pick up the boys. I will definitely come again," Aryamann said.
"Oh. You are not staying tonight?" Sofia asked in disappointment.
"Next week maybe," Aryamann said casually, and Sofia nodded happily.
Aryamann picked up the boys one by one and took them to the car. Zoya had already fallen asleep in her car seat. The boys were buckled in theirs.
Soon, they will wake up, sleeping uncomfortable in the car seat.
****
We reached home after fifteen minutes of driving.
Abhi and Sammy, though awake, were too sleepy to walk. So Aryamann picked up Abhi, and Rey picked up Sammy and took them to the nursery.
Though one corner of the nursery is set up for Zo, we prefer her sleeping in our room.
A baby cot has been set up in our room. Sometimes, she refuses to go to sleep, demanding to play at midnight. On such nights, I cuddle her to sleep.
She is a mini-me. Dark hair, hazel eyes, and fair complexion.
And her mischievous streak is evident already.
Once all the kids are settled, Aryamann walked into the walk-in closet to get changed. He had removed his shirt and was about to take off his pants.
I followed him there and hugged him from the back.
He remained rigid.
I started peppering soft kisses all over his back, and I felt him relaxing in my arms.
"Sorry, love. Please forgive me," I said cutely.
He turned around and snaked his arms around my waist.
"Don't hide anything from me anymore," he ordered.
"Never," I promised.
We remained in each other's hold for a while.
"I should thank you," he said, and I got confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"We called into your show three years back," he said, and I was surprised.
He then told me the incident, and I remembered it. I can't believe that it was with Aryamann I talked to back then.
I was giving relationship advice to my own husband.
What an irony.
"You are the one who explained to me that what I felt for Harini back then wasn't love. Though I didn't like what you said back then, I kinda understood it later. And I said the same words to Harini too. That I was in love with the idea of being in love. Never in love with her. She was shocked to hear that," Aryamann said.
"I am glad I was able to help," I said.
"I couldn't have asked for a better restart of my life, Bhumi. I am lucky I got you," Aryamann said.
"I love you, Aryamann Mehrotra."
"I love you more, Bhumika Basu Mehrotra."
