Chapter 3: Three Keys

During the Age of Fairy Tales and Ninjago's recent wars, Ransei was floating between the Daybreak Town and Ninjago. Ransei was protected by the powers of the First Spinjutzu Master. He made sure the world would follow a slower time rate than Ninjago in case anything happened to Ninjago. However, his powers attracted the Foretellers to exploring the world. Recently, the Foretellers were left to watch over their own unions and protect the light. Ira had gathered the Foretellers to discuss the world of Ransei.

"This is a very unusual world" Aced stated as he examined it from a crystal ball.

"Do you want us to do anything about it?' Gula asked as he looked at it.

"Well, the Book of Prophecies doesn't mention a world like this" Envi pointed out as she looked through her book.

Ava was excited about the world. She never went to a new world on her own before!

"If you want, I can go and check it out!" Ava said with a smile on her face.

The Foretellers looked at her seriously. Aced was about to protest, but Ira walked towards her.

"Alright, but I will send Gula and Aced as well. This world is new, and we don't know anything about it. Bring your Book and make sure you have your bangle on" Ira said sternly.

Ava nodded her head excitedly as she rushed to get her book and bangle. Gula followed her while Aced looked at Ira.

"Why would you allow this?" Aced asked angrily.

"The Book of Prophecies doesn't mention a new world appearing at all. In fact, it doesn't state a new world would appear any time soon. I just want to make sure this world doesn't have anything to do with us" Ira stated seriously.

Aced understood his reason and went to find Ava and Gula. He found the two of them waiting downstairs excitedly. Aced summoned his keyblade and unlocked the keyhole.

"We are just here to observed and to see if this world has anything to do with us, understand?" Aced said seriously.

"Yes" Ava and Gula answered.

They departed for Ransei. However, the three of them landed in different locations! Ava found herself in the Kingdom of Dragnor, Gula was at the Kingdom of Ignis, and Aced found himself at the Kingdom of Terrera. Aced didn't expect the world to be barren with giant red towers with horns rising from the ground. He walked to a kingdom and went to the markets. So far, he did not hear anything about pure lights, darkness, and heartless. This world didn't appear to have anything dangerous either. He knew Ira was losing his touch at being the leader. As Aced was about to leave and search for his friends, he heard a young girl laughing with a boy and another girl. He observed the group closely as they made their way to the market.

"Yukimura! What do you think of my whip? My father said I was going to be a great fighter with it!" the girl exclaimed as she presented her whip to the boy.

The girl had puffy brown hair. She wore a black shirt with a red skit. She had black gloves and socks with red slippers. Her eyes were burning with passion. She was also the same height as the girl Aced was focused on.

"It looks powerful, Kai! Maybe when we have our competitions you will win! You or my little sister" he answered truthfully.

He had short brown hair with a red bandana across his forehead. He wore a white shirt and black pants. He had black shoes and was carrying a small spear. He was smiling at his little sister. She had her light brown hair in a ponytail with auburn eyes. She had a black skirt and shirt with red marks on the edge. She had black slippers and socks.

"If you're talking about the Female Warlords Challenge, then I will live up to our mother's legacy!" Kunoicih said with a determined smile.

Aced gasped when he sensed a great power growing in her! He quietly approached the three children, but a few people were running away screaming in terror! Aced looked beyond the frightened crowd and saw a group of bandits attacking innocent people!

"Yukimura what should we do?" Kunoicih asked as she pulled out two daggers.

"Protect the people!" he ordered as the trio of friends rushed to help any innocent people being harmed by the Five Bandits!

Aced was impressed with these children. They didn't hesitate to help others in danger. Kunoicih knocked on bandit out while Kai made sure one person got away from the fight and Yukimura defeated another bandit. However, more bandits were entering the area! The bandits easily surrounded the kids!

"Ah! Prince Yukimura and Princess Kunoicih! What a pleasure! Boys! Take them alive!" the leader of the bandits ordered.

Aced cleared his throat as he walked towards them. Everyone was quiet.

"Leave these children alone. Otherwise, you will not live to see the next light of day" Aced said seriously as he faced the bandits.

The bandits just laughed at him. Aced held his hand out, and his keyblade appeared in his hands! The three kids gasped in awe as Aced charged towards the bandits. He easily defeated them with a few strikes! Yukimura was inspired by him, but Kunoicih saw the leader trying to stab Aced from behind! She gripped one of her daggers and threw it at leader's shoulder! He yelped in pain as Aced turned around. He drew his keyblade back and swung it at the leader! The leader was flown across the town and crashed onto the ground! He was only unconscious. The three kids cheered while Aced looked at Kunoicih. The three kids were having a snack while Aced took out his copy of the Book of Prophecies. He flipped through the pages and found a single page on Ransei. The book discussed how the Dandelions may prevent the darkness from completely consuming the worlds, but they would be locked away. In turn, three heroes would take up keyblades of their own to aid the future wielders. Aced nodded his head as he closed his book and saw Kunoicih having fun playing games with her friend and brother. Aced summoned his keyblade as he went to the kids. Yukimura and Kai went to get some more food while Kunoicih was cleaning her dagger.

"You fight very well" Aced commented as he kneeled before her while holding his keyblade.

"Thank you! It was a fighting style like my mother's!" Kunoicih said with a smile.

Aced nodded his head as he presented her his keyblade. She examined it and was completely amazed by it. She wasn't sure what it was though.

"Did you ever dream of leaving this place?" Aced asked.

"Someday, but for now, I have to protect my kingdom!" Kunoicih answered with a proud smile.

Aced just chuckled at her.

"Take the handle" he instructed.

She shrugged as she took the handle.

Aced proclaimed "In your hand, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking, its wielder you shall one day be"

Kunoicih wasn't sure what she just agreed to, but she like how cool and shiny the weapon looked. She wondered if she was going to have one for herself one day. Aced knew the Keyblade War would come. He knew he may not survive it, so he decided to give her his strength and have her use it to carry on the keyblade. Though, she wasn't from any Union, he knew she was going to achieve something great on her own. Aced soon made his keyblade disappear. Kunoicih jumped back a bit.

"You can't tell anyone about this" Aced spoke calmly.

"Why?" Kunoicih asked curiously.

"If you tell anyone else, then you won't be able to receive this power" Aced said with a smile.

Kunoicih nodded.

"HEY! KUNOICIH!" Kai shouted urgently.

She turned towards her friends.

"Go to them. Enjoy your life and help others" Aced said happily.

She nodded her head eagerly as she ran towards her friends. Aced was grateful he could do something to make the light live on. He decided to find his other companions.

"I can't believe we each landed someplace different" Gula said annoyed.

His clothes were a bit dusty, but he was just thankful his Book of Prophesy was unharmed. He opened the book and noticed another page had appeared in his book. He discovered that three Wielders would be chosen here today and would fight for the light after the Keyblade War. Gula didn't think the Master had planned that far in advance, but he did. Gula decided to go and find the other wielder he was going to choose. He had to make sure this person he chose would be smart and able to handle any situation he or she was in.

"Kanbei, please take things seriously" a young boy said with a weird, pillow hat on his head as he rose his head from a box.

"Hanbei, I don't understand the logic in your plan" Kanbei said annoyed as he carried the box.

Gula couldn't believe those boys, but he decided to follow them. Maybe these could be the boys he was looking for. Again, he wasn't sure. He saw Kanbei close the lid on the box as he walked to the palace. The guards were a bit skeptical, but they allowed Kanbei take the box into the palace. Gula couldn't explain to the guards why he was here, so he jumped onto the roof and followed the boys from afar. They went into the food storage area. Kanbei placed the box on the ground, and Hanbei popped out of the box.

"Alright! Take the food!" Hanbei ordered.

Kanbei nodded as they put a lot of food in the box. Why were they taking the food? Just then, a bunch of guards surrounded them.

"I told you this is a bad idea" Kanbei stated simply.

"Well, we have been in far worse situations before. We can handle this. Trust me" Hanbei reassured as he tied something onto the box, "If you all really want this food, then catch it!"

He pulled a string back and flying saucer of some kind flew into the sky carrying the food away! Kanbei raised a crystal ball in his hands and created a dark cloud surrounding them! That's something new. Hanbei jumped up and landed on the steps of the palace holding a small bomb in his hands. He threw it on the ground and blew the troops away.

"Kanbei! Cover our tracks! Make us disappear!" Hanbei shouted urgently.

Kanbei slammed his fist on the ground and covered themselves in darkness. Once the darkness vanished, the two of them were gone. Gula needed to find them. That boy is something. He looked up and saw the food still flying away from the area. He followed the food to a forest.

"What is this?" He asked himself when he saw a group of kids sitting on the ground.

Wait, these kids are poor... The box of food hovered above them and dropped it. The children were surprised and looked inside the box. They were happy to have food. Gula was standing behind a tree as a dark cloud appeared. It was those two boys! Hanbei smiled at them while Kanbei just sighed at his partner's behavior.

"Thank you, Hanbei!" a child said happily.

"No problem! It looks like Pikachu did a good job watching out for you all as well" Hanbei said as a small mouse ran up to him followed by an odd lamp.

This world is unique.

"I know you've been watching us. It is rude of you to keep your distance from us. Come out and say hi. Unless you're against us" Hanbei said as he turned towards Gula.

How did he find Gula? Gula walked towards them.

"Next time try blending in with others if you don't want to be to seen" Hanbei said simply.

You know, for a young kid, he's pretty smart. The children began to thank him for his help. That's the person Gula was looking for. After those two took care of the kids, the two of them were prepared to leave for their homes.

"Hey, Hanbei, I have a question for you" Gula asked.

Kanbei was prepared to fight me, but Hanbei calmly walked forward. His Pikachu jumped to Kanbei.

"Ok, I'll be fine Kanbei. Head home with Pikachu" Hanbei reassured.

Kanbei just sighed at his partner and went home.

"So, what kingdom are you from?" Hanbei asked curiously, "I've only seen three, but I planned to see them all soon"

"I'm from a kingdom far away from here. Anyway, tell me a bit about yourself" Gula said calmly.

"Kanbei and I were together for a long time. We are almost like brothers. We both looked out for each other and the kids here. This ruler isn't a very good one, so we are going to wait for his son to take over. However, right now, we have to protect these kids" Hanbei answered simply as he sat down.

I sat next to him. He and Kanbei must've been orphans.

"How do you come up with these ideas?" Gula asked him.

"I plan out everything at my house. It wasn't that hard. I don't know why, but I was always good with numbers and planning" Hanbei answered with a shrug.

Interesting. He's just naturally smart. Gula made up his mind. He held out his hand and made his keyblade appeared. Hanbei was surprised, but he didn't say anything yet. Gula held out the handle towards him.

"Take the handle" Gula told him.

"Alright" Hanbei said interestingly as he placed his hand on the handle.

"In your hand, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking, its wielder you shall one day be" Gula stated.

Gula made my keyblade disappear as Hanbei asked "What did I just gain?"

Gula wasn't sure if he should tell Hanbei about what would happen to him. Instead, he stood up and looked at the blue sky.

"Your life will be filled with some hardships. I just gave you the power to handle it all well in the future" Gula said confidently as he turned away from Hanbei.

Hanbei was confused for the first time in his life. He wondered what Gula was talking about. Gula knew he made the right choice. Hanbei was going to amaze the world with his knowledge and quick thinking. Gula looked at the sky as he thought about his fate along with the rest of his friends.

"Woah! This kingdom is a bit scary" Ava said as she looked at the dragon themed castle.

She didn't expect this from a world. Well, she walked into the castle's courtyard and saw a lot of people running around! She wondered what was going on.

"Excuse me, what is happening here today?" she asked a store keeper.

"Oh! It is the prince's birthday! We are just getting ready for it!" the store keeper said with a smile.

Ava was excited about this now! She couldn't believe people were preparing for his birthday. She decided to walk around the area. Then she saw a young girl running around the market with a young boy. Ava noticed they were wearing more fancy clothes as they explored the shops.

"I can't wait for your party, big brother!" the girl wearing the pink kimono said excitedly.

"I know" he said with a smile.

Ava was about to ask them something, but she felt a powerful darkness inside the boy. She trembled a bit. This boy had a powerful darkness in him. His sister had a powerful light inside her. Ava decided to observe the children. The two of them were walking along the garden's path as an old woman tripped! The young girl rushed to the old woman and helped her up.

"Are you ok?" she asked worriedly.

"Oh, princess Oicih, I am fine. Thank you for your help" the old woman said with a smile as she continued to walk along the path.

Oicih smiled at her as her brother walked towards them.

"Please be careful. We don't know what happened to our parents, so please be careful when you approach a stranger" her brother said worriedly.

Ava gasped as she realized why he had darkness in himself now. That's horrible... However, Ava was worried that the prince's darkness would grow unstable. He needed his sister's help. The Book of Prophesy began to shine. Ava quickly opened the book and saw another page! She smiled! This meant their Master was looking out for them! He had a new page written about passing the keyblade onto three young children. These children would fight for the light and protect it! Ava looked at the picture and gasped. It was Princess Oicih! Ava closed the book as she rushed to find her.

"Help!" the princes cried as two thugs entered the palace gardens and tried to kidnap her and her brother!

Ava put her book away and summoned her keyblade. She quickly charged at the thugs and swung her keyblade at them. Ava twirled and knocked the thugs back! She pointed her keyblade at them.

"I suggest you leave them alone. Otherwise, I won't go easy on you" Ava stated.

The thugs quickly left the area. Ava made her keyblade disappear and turned towards the kids. They were ok much to her relief.

"Thank you!" the brother said in relief.

"It was nothing. I am glad I was here on time" Ava said in a thankful tone.

Ava turned towards Oicih who was looking up to her with wide eyes. Ava smiled as she kneeled before her.

"Princess, may I give you a gift?" Ava asked politely.

Oicih looked up at her brother. He smiled and nodded at her. Ava summoned her keyblade and extended the handle out to her.

"Please place your hand on the blade's handle" she said calmly.

"Alright" Oicih said as she placed her hand on the handle.

"In your hand, take this key. So long as you have the makings, then through this simple act of taking, its wielder you shall one day be" Ava said kindly.

Oicih was surprised at her words. Ava took her keyblade back and made it vanished.

"Princess, you will look out for your brother, right?" Ava asked politely.

"Of course! He's the only family I have!" Oicih said happily as she hugged him.

"Good. He will need your help" Ava said as she stood up.

She left the siblings together and happy as she went to search for Aced and Gula. The three of them quickly meet up at a very dusty kingdom.

"Are you ok?" Ava asked the two of them.

"Yeah, we are good" Aced said with a smile.

"So, let's go home. I'm tried" Gula said seriously.

Aced nodded as he used his keyblade to take them home. The three of them arrived at Daybreak Town. They rushed to the clocktower and saw Ira and Envi sitting at the table. The two of them rushed towards their friends and asked them about the new world and the new pages in the book.

"So, you three did pass on the power?" Ira asked calmly.

"Yes, they will be ready!" Ava reassured him.

"Alright. Then let's finish the spell" Envi said as she turned towards the page in the book.

There was a spell each of the Foretellers needed to use.

"What will this spell do?" Ava asked curiously.

"It will make sure we find a way to each other, no matter what" Ira answered calmly.

Ava summoned her keyblade and cast the spell over herself. She then waited for Gula and Aced to cast their spells. The two of them were nervous about this, but Aced cast the spell over himself.

"Now come on Gula" Aced said seriously.

Gula noticed everyone else looking at him. He sighed as he summoned his keyblade and cast the spell over himself.

"There! Are you all happy?" he asked them.

Ava hugged him closely while Envi laughed at them. Ira and Aced smiled in delight. In the distance of Daybreak town, the Master of Masters was watching them from a far. He knew he had doomed his students, so he searched for something to help his students. Once he saw how happy his students were, he departed. He knew their future would be fine and enjoyable.
