In The Name Of A Kiss

I sighed heavily as this

exquisitely boring gentleman

bid me adieu

thank goodness without

a goodbye kiss.

my jaws ached

yet I continued to pass smiles

to unknown men who

were here to court me

from far away miles

my eyes suddenly fell on him

like they would on a diamond

amongst the coal.

he also greeted me in the

same manner others

here did, making my eyes roll.

glances exchanged between

us and we knew sparks

had flown already

I couldn't help it when his

flirtatious stare made me

feel giddy

Recently, a fan/ reader of mine wrote me a fan-fiction style poem, revolving around Sophia...as a witch. It was a very clever take on it, and it stayed true to Sophia's character ( as true as it could be in witch form), during her debutante period.
