Hello, hello, hello, beautiful readers! And welcome to this story! Thank you so much for taking your time to even read this! Every reader, read, vote and comment means a lot. I appreciate each and every single one of them and each and every single one of you :) So, thank you. Now that we got that out of the way, my name's Manasha and I have decided to write a novel! And this is it :D. Anyway, just a few things to remember before we proceed to the story:

•This is a Victorian Era novel. It is not set in the Regency period! This is a period romantic drama, not a comment on the political issues of the time, and features no historical figures, except in name only. :) It can be read by ANYONE.

• This story may have a few slightly mature scenes and themes that may not be suitable for younger audiences, including

-Domestic Abuse

-Death

-Depression

-Drinking |Drunk Figures|Alcoholic Consumption

-Mention of rape

-Trauma

• This is indeed my first book ever, so this, as the years and even months progress won't be reflective of my writing style and how much I have grown since the time I started this novel. I do plan to edit this novel soon, but please note that it is in no way and no manner, "perfect" and needs a lot of work. I know that, and I know where I must improve. Please don't trash my writing, keeping in mind that indeed this is my first venture of a novel and all writers learn from their mistakes. But as I said, comments to improve are always welcome :). 

• I have done a lot of, I mean a lot of research on this book, including mannerisms, clothes, setting, etc to create an apt historical novel. But I try my best and bound to make mistakes, and feel free to point out anything as well :) I know there are a few historical discrepancies here and there, which will be fixed soon :)

  • I never mentioned this before, but English is my second language, not my first. Yes, I am very fluent in English, but sometimes I pop out a weird sentence or 2 and I apologize XD. I am in no way excusing any grammatical errors you find here, just pointing out why some sentences may be quirky ;)  

• And feel free to make any fan art for this book if you wish to [ crystaIIise made me a beautiful cover without me requesting. Thank you for that!]! It is so pretty ahh

• I have been told this story nearly and completely resembles Pride & Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. For the record, I have read NEITHER of these novels [ I tried them out when I was younger and I didn't like it, but I plan to read them soon]. I don't know how my story resembles these stories and I have gotten NO PLOT IDEAS from these stories. This story is something I imagined in my head, so any resemblance is PURELY a coincidence.

This is a work of FICTION. All characters are fictional, and any resemblance to anyone, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

This story, yes, will indeed have some cliches of the romance genre. Before you dismiss it as just another romantic, cliched novel, please reflect on WHY I may have chosen to include those cliches and how those elements play into the story and overall character development. This story tends to gravitate towards very strong, central/core characters and these cliches play an important role in how they grow. Don't like that? Well, the exit is thataway. Don't let the door hit you on the way out ;)
