Alyssa

Alyssa suddenly woke up. She shot out of bed her heart racing a mile a minute and with the palm of her hand wiped the saliva that trailed in a line from her mouth to her cheek. All of a sudden a bolt of lightning cracked and then thunder started.

There was a scream and Alyssa immediately threw the duvet off her, slipped on her slippers and raced down the stairs almost tripping in the process.

Alyssa found cj at the foot of the stairs covered in blood and sobbing uncontrollably. Ally came rushing to him and got a good look at him.

he seemed different. His pain More animalistic. Alyssa noted he was upset for sure.

She's......she's out there.....there's" he started crying again.

She shook him whose out there? She asked him. At the same time Deandra rushed to cjs side bringing him into her checking for any wounds. "What on earth is going on? Why are you like this? Dee asked him

Dee walked thru the open door and gasped. She came back inside and didn't say a word. Her face pale.

Cj you stay in here. Ally put a hand on him.

The first thing she noticed was the raven. It flew in front of her and perched on the magnolia tree and cawed as if it was tauntiung her. Lightning striked and hit the ground in front of her feet and words started appearing. This is just the beginning it read as the flames started to dwindle.

Just that but the animal hanging from the branch. Ally ran over to the cat which was hanging by the neck and loosened the noose by throwing the rope to the ground.

Who would do this? Why kill a harmless animal and say this is just the beginning?

Who cares? Dee said to all of us but no one in particular. "We have what looks like a murder scene in our front yard. We must clean this up. Imagine what the neighbors would say. The longer we are outside the longer we are causing a scene."

"What's wrong with you?!" ally Seethed. I should have known. You're only worried about your image and how that might affect your wedding day.

Alyssa busied herself and tried her best so that their front yard wouldn't end up in a movie scene.

She walked to the side of the house grabbed the green hose and twisted the faucet on so that she could spray the blood away. She walked and crouched under the tree so that she wasn't seen and so people didn't think she was an intruder. Once she drowned the tree trunk with water and the red turned pink to just mud, she stomped on the ground where the threatening words formed and put out the last of the flames

One thing was sure.
