Third Person POV

Peat was awakened by the loud sound of his phone alarm.

He hated Monday mornings.

He sleepily walked to the bathroom and did all his morning routine and shower and prepared for another school day.

"Good morning, son," his dad greeted him as he took his place at the breakfast table.

Peat just nodded gloomily.

"I used to hate Monday mornings myself," Peat's dad said understandingly. "Don't worry, son, time flies and before you know it you will be graduating and you will have the whole of your summer vacation to enjoy."

Again Peat just nodded gloomily. He was not happy with how yesterday ended with no progress at all with his efforts to get closer to Thanawat.

Peat tried to swallow his breakfast of crispy bacon strips and vanilla waffles.

After drinking half of his glass of milk, he stood up and told his parents that he had to rush to school.

"If you're lucky and you catch Thanawat on his way to work, you might be able to get a ride from him," Peat's dad said, winking at his son.

"If ..." Peat didn't feel hopeful at all as he walked out of the gate.

 But sure enough, Peat saw Thanawat easing his car slowly out of his driveway.

But wait ... there was a man seated in the front passenger seat, a very handsome man who was smiling and talking animatedly with Thanawat, even brushing a strand of hair from Thanawat's forehead.

Peat walked away very fast, his chest hurting so bad that he had to place his fist and thump on it for a few times.

Thanawat honked his car and stopped beside Peat.

Peat ignored the honk and kept walking very fast.

"Peat!" Thanawat called out.

Peat ran away as fast as he could towards the bus stop.

Thanawat revved up his car.

"Peat! Don't you want me to give you a ride to school!" Thanawat called out again.

"Go away! Leave me alone!" Peat yelled back, not even looking back at Thanawat but just kept on running until he reached the corner where the bus stop was.

Thanawat stopped his car and got out.

He quickly took over Peat and grabbed Peat's wrist.

"Why won't you let me give you a ride to school?" Thanawat asked.

"Because I don't want your boyfriend to kill me!" Peat yelled at Thanawat, pulling away from Thanawat's grasp.

At that very moment, the bus came by, screeching to a stop. Peat quickly jumped inside the bus.

"What the hell ... " Thanawat muttered as he watched the bus pull away with Peat in it.

Then he walked back to his car.

"What was that all about?" Apo asked after Thanawat settled back into the driver's seat.

"I have no idea either," Thanawat replied as he started the car and drove off toward his company building. He was going to show Apo where he worked and what kind of business he was in.

Apo was more than happy to spend the whole day with Thanawat. Maybe, in Thanawat's company he would be able to take his mind off Mile's infidelity.
