𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐖𝐎𝐋𝐕𝐄𝐒
i was born with my heart on my sleeve, a fire in my soul, and a mouth i can't control

VICTORIA WATCHED AS Sookie patched Alcide up. She was leaning against the wall, a small smile on her face.

"Don't take it personally," Sookie was saying as she held gauze to the cut on Alcide's shoulder. "The Were you were fighting had vampire blood in him. Bill's in fact, so I know it's strong."

He sighed and looked between the cousin's. "Werewolves doing V?"

Victoria nodded, sighing. "It's something I have never heard of or thought possible, but it's true."

"Goes against everything we stand for," Alcide spat out, frowning. "The rest of the pack into that shit?"

"The ones who took Bill, at least," Sookie answered.

"Like I need more reasons to hate them," Alcide flinched when Sookie dabbed his wound with alcohol. "Ow!"

"Sorry," the blonde paused with a sheepish expression on her features. Tori's eyes twinkled as she watched Alcide analyze the blonde with soft brown eyes. "Is Debbie your ex-girlfriend?"

He sighed, and suddenly, he was tense. "She's my fiancée. She moved out a month ago."

"A month?" Tori cracked a smile. "And you still haven't got new furniture?"

The werewolf rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but smile over at the brunette. Even though he saw her stand up for him and Sookie; in his eyes, she was too innocent and nice, and it was something he wasn't used to lately. "I don't have the time for it."

"You ever hear from her?" Tori asked, her eyebrows pinching together.

Alcide looked to her with kind brown eyes. "My sister, Janice, does. She runs a beauty parlor. Debbie still goes in to get her hair done up."

He looked over his shoulder to Sookie and they looked at each other for a moment.

"Almost done," Sookie spoke gently and smiled.

Just as Sookie set down the first aid kit, her cell phone rang, and Tori watched with anxiousness when the blonde answered and felt relief when it seemed that Bill was the caller. When Sookie said, "Shut the fuck up," Tori pushed herself off the wall, her eyes wide.

Sookie's eyes shone with tears. "The last time I saw you, you asked me to marry you... You have to say that. Someone's listening... Bill... That's not true."

Tori walked over to her cousin once she realized the blonde had began to cry. When she walked over to the blonde, she yanked the phone from her, and protectiveness washed over her when she lifted the device to her ear. "You listen here, Bill, you broke my cousin's heart, and when I see you again, it'll be your heart that I break." She hung up and tossed the phone on the bed, pulling the blonde into a hug. "I got you. I got you."

Sookie cried into her cousins shoulder. "What does he mean by saying he doesn't want to be found?"

Tori felt her heart drop when Alcide replied, "I'm pretty sure it means he doesn't wanna see you anymore."

"That isn't what he said," Sookie insisted, tears still streaming down her face as she pulled away from the doppelgänger. She then sat down on the edge of the bed, her cousin doing the same.

"Well, what do you think he said?" Alcide asked gently, trying to not sound too rough.

She shook her head, her blonde swishing side to side. "I don't know what he said. I just know that isn't the man I love."

He gave her a look, his jaw clenching slightly. "Well, maybe the man you love never existed except in your head."

Even though she was angry at Bill, she was still trying to see the bright side of things, so Tori said, "Maybe he's doing it to protect you."

Sookie wiped her eyes, sniffling. "How is any of this supposed to make me feel better?"

Alcide sat down on the other side of Sookie, his voice gentle but firm, "All I know is that no matter how well you think you know somebody they can still turn around and kick you right in the nut sack."

Victoria tilted her head. "All that is true, but... they could have good intentions. They could be forced or angry or upset. All I know is that we don't know for sure why he is saying what he is saying, so we have to be open-minded."

Sookie tried to calm down and Tori gripped her hand. "I don't have a nut sack, and Bill... he's risked everything for me. Our love is way bigger than him breaking up with me over the phone."

Alcide arched an eyebrow. "How many relationships you been in?"

Sookie glared over at him. "Why does that matter?"

"Well, all I'm saying is there's no nice way of getting out of these things," he then looked to Sookie with a kind smile. "Come here."

When he hugged Sookie, the telepath's eyes widened, "Oh, my God, you're so warm."

"Sorry," he apologized with a low chuckle.

She shrugged slightly. "It's okay, I'm not used to it."

"That's because a werewolves' temperature is higher than the average person's," Tori commented when she remembered after Tyler turned into a wolf. While they weren't always close, she was still there when he needed her, especially during his first few transformations.

Sookie smiled at that. "I thought that maybe he was coming down with the flu."

Alcide smirked, his eyes twinkling. "No." When Sookie looked back to Alcide, he placed a hand on her cheek before turning away. "You probably want some privacy."

Even though Tori did like Bill — most of the time — he still wasn't the right fit for Sookie, no matter what the blonde thinks. And seeing her with their new werewolf friend, she could see their attraction and spark.

Sookie sniffled. "That's the last thing I want."

He looked between the two cousins before nodding. "I'll go put on a shirt."

THE NEXT MORNING, the cousin's found Alcide in his kitchen making breakfast with the radio playing. He was covered in a plaid robe, and he glanced over at the girl's who stood by the refrigerator. "What time you want to head back? To Bon Temps?" He watched, amused, as Tori quickly walked towards his coffee maker. "Since you're not looking for that asshole anymore."

Once Tori poured herself a cup of coffee, she looked over Alcide's shoulder, nodding. He was making eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Her stomach growled loudly, and she blushed heavily when Alcide chuckled at her.

Sookie was pouring herself a cup of coffee, as well, when she said, "Oh, I still plan on finding him."

"Really?"

"Okay, doormat," Alcide commented which angered both cousins.

"You watch yourself," Tori told him lowly, narrowing her eyes at him.

"I'm not a doormat," Sookie spat out as she walked towards the Were, looking up at him. "I just want him to say it to my face."

Alcide turned to her fully. "What, he didn't hurt you enough?"

"I agree with Tori," Sookie stated and they glanced to the girl who was basically chugging her coffee. "She made a point last night, and I think he's in trouble. Maybe we're both wrong, but if he can look me in the eye and tell me it's over, I'll leave him here to rot."

Alcide sighed. "You looking for closure? Just let it go, moved on."

"Says the man cooking in a wok because he's too sad to buy a new frying pan," the blonde retorted with an arched eyebrow.

Tori snorted as she pulled herself another cup of coffee seeing as she already chugged the other one. "Burn."

Sookie smiled at her cousin before looking back to Alcide. "We need more information. Take us to that engagement party tonight."

He nearly growled at that. "No fucking way. I paid my debt to Eric Northman."

"I know you're still hurting over Debbie," Sookie insisted, her lips pursed. "Seeing her with those creeps might help you get over her."

"Are you insane?" He barked as he turned off the stove. "Either one of us showing up after last night is just asking to get our asses kicked." He then threw the silverware on the table. "You go if you gotta. Don't put your shit on me." He then walked away angrily.

AFTER CALLING JANICE — Alcide's sister — the woman had helped them look completely than they already did. They both wore dark make up, mostly reds with blacks, and Sookie wore a black wig that was short like a bob. Tori had extensions that made her hair go down to her butt in loose curls. And, to top it off, Tori was wearing green contacts so she didn't look too much like Katherine like she already did.

Sookie wore a black corset with flames, biker gloves and sleek hip-hugging pants. Victoria wore a bland corset and tight leather jeans that were way too hard to get in to. They also had fake tattoo's littering their exposed skin. One of Tori's happened to be a crow on her left shoulder blade that reminded her of Damon.

The door opened and Alcide yelled out, "Sookie? Victoria?!"

"We're in here," Sookie called after him as Tori said, "how many times do I have to tell you to call me Tori?"

His eye widened when he walked into the living room. His brown eyes took them in. "Wow. I guess my sister took to the both of you."

"Debbie's getting initiated into Coot's pack, and she's addicted to V," Sookie blurted out almost immediately as Tori checked herself out in the mirror. If it wasn't for the tattoo's and green contacts, she would've looked exactly like the psychotic bitch Katherine.

Alcide's jaw dropped, and he lowered the newt pan he was holding. "Shut the fucking door. Debbie's a bloodhead? How'd you find out?"

Victoria gave him an apologetic look as she turned away from the mirror. "Sook heard Janice's thoughts. She didn't tell you because she's trying to protect you." She wanted to make sure he wouldn't be mad at his sister for trying to protect him.

His eyes narrowed. "Then why didn't you both let her?"

"Because we know you care about Debbie, no matter what she did to you," Sookie reasoned like the good person she is. "I figured you wanna know if she were in danger."

"She's gonna let those fucking mongrels brand her?!" Alcide bellowed as he angrily ran his hands through his brown hair. He then swallowed thickly as he saw the girl's flinch slightly. "V's the only reason. It's gotta be."

"Of course it is," Tori said empathically. "Maybe it's not too late for you to get through to her. Stop her from making a huge mistake, and make her realize what a great guy you really are."

"Fuck!" In a fit of anger, Alcide hit the wall, causing a picture to fall and shatter.

Sookie rose her right brow, trying to get him to calm down. "Does that mean you are coming with us?" She then gestured to Tori and her. "We probably won't get in otherwise."

Alcide relented with a long and loud sigh. "Fine. We're gonna have to go in separate, though. You both might be able to fool some with your getups. They're just gonna beat the shit out of me, again." His eyes looking them up and down before walking away again.

AS THE TWO cousins walked around the bar, they could see everyone was having some fun.

It's a private party. Hollis isn't here. We're on our own. Sookie thought to her, nodding to Alcide who was off in the distance.

The walked around the bar and were stopped by the man who tried to have sex with them, placing two shot's in front of the cousins. "Shoot them."

Sookie went to protest, but wanting to keep up the facade, Tori quickly grabbed one, and threw it back. She cringed slightly at the taste before swallowing, and slamming the shot glass down with a smirk.

"That was delicious, boys," she commented as she leaned onto the bar with one elbow, her hip out slightly, and she leaned forward, allowing her cleavage to be seen more. She licked her top teeth, doing it slowly. She mentally scolded herself for acting like Katherine, but it was the only way to do this without being caught.

Sookie quickly understood what was happening, and downed her's too before raising a brow at the man.

He laid another shot in front of them, saying, "Again." They repeated and grew apprehensive when the man placed more shots before them. "One more. Third time's a charm."

The group started cheering as Sookie and Victoria glanced at each other before downing their shots. Tori swallowed thickly, but smirked through the nasty taste, and pushed her hair over her shoulder, smirking.

"Who the fuck are you?" The two cousins turned around to see a very angry female werewolf staring them down. She had light red hair, bangs falling over her forehead.

"They're with me Debbie," Alcide said, causing everyone to look at him as he appeared behind the woman.

Tori looked the woman over, finding her attractive, but she could see the anger and hunger in her eyes.

"Don't go through the initiation," Alcide told his ex-fiancée with narrowed eyes.

"You thought this knight-on-a-white-horse shit would work?" Debbie narrowed her eyes. "With me?" She scoffed and squared her shoulders.

Alcide frowned. "What have you done to yourself?"

"I finally got free of you. And I've never been happier in my life," Debbie spat out, holding her head high.

"I still care about you," Alcide said softly. "Go through with this, the pack will never let you back in."

"I don't need your pussy pack," Debbie declared through clenched teeth. "And I was fucking Coot when I was still with you."

"This isn't about us," Alcide told her.

Debbie crossed her arms. "Like hell. You came here and brought these skanks just to make me jealous."

"Skank?" Sookie put her hands on her hips, defending both herself and Tori. "Well, coming from you, that's just funny."

"Sookie," Alcide warned lightly.

Debbie laughed, turning to them with a glare on her features. "You did not just say that to me at my own fucking party."

"Alcide came here despite every good reason in the world not to because he believes the woman he fell in love with still lives inside you somewhere," Victoria spat out, wanting to stand up for Alcide, because even though they have barley known each other for two days, he was nice, and deserves better. "He's willing to risk his life to make sure you hold onto that woman, even if he doesn't get to have her."

Debbie looked between the two and then to Alcide who replied, "It isn't too late. We can get out of here right now."

A man with short dirty blonde hair and some scruff cane over, wrapping an arm around Debbie, "What the fuck is this?"

Alcide's lips thinned at the sight of the man. "It's just a conversation, Coot."

"Well, she's all done with you, Herveaux," Coot said with fierceness. "She went and found herself a real wolf." Debbie laughed and smiled as he turned to her, "Come on. Let's do this shit!" He growled and then laughed, and the surrounding werewolves cheered.

Debbie watched Alcide, "Leave him alone, Coot. Let him stay."

Coot glared. "No way in hell."

"He needs to see this. He ain't never gonna let us be, baby, till he understands I'm with you for good," Debbie stated as she turned to him, and they kissed passionately.

Debbie and Coot continued their very inappropriate public display of affection until Debbie was lifted above the crowd and surfed to the stage, her skirt being ripped off her body.

Sookie looked to Alcide with pursed lips. "Coot. He's the one of the ones who took Bill."

The three looked to see a man on the stage, holding up a fur coat.

"Who's that?" Tori asked with a frowned on her face.

"Russell Edgington," Alcide replied quietly. "He's a rich antiques dealer here."

The crowd continued to cheer, the suddenly a light shined on Russell before everyone except Sookie, Tori, and Alcide bowed.

"Jetzt trinken wir." Now, let's drink. Russell spoke to the crowd in German, "Der dunkle Rotwein unserer Vorfahren." The dark red wine of our ancestors.

Everyone replied in agreement as the trio continued to watch in confusion as Russell pulled up his right sleeve, then his fangs came out.

"What's a vampire doing in a wolf den?" Sookie asked with widened eyes.

Alcide grimaced and let out a small growl. "Why are they submitting to this fanger?"

Russell bit his arm and held it over trays of shot glasses.

"Oh, my God," the blonde in took a sharp breath. "He supplies them."

Tori sucked in a breath, and shook her head in disgust. "He must be the vampire leader Eric told us about."

"Holy shit," was the only thing Alcide could reply with.

"Awe, not tonight, pumpkin," Russel told Debbie, who was looking at the shots and the vampire's bloodied wrist with lust. "Otherwise your brand won't last." He pulled out a handkerchief and wiped his mouth clean, turning to the crowd, "Tonight..." Everyone stood up, "You continue the grand tradition of expanding our pack. My contribution is but a small token of gratitude for our collaboration throughout the ages."

Everyone cheered as Sookie looked to Tori and Alcide, the confusion clear on her beautiful features. "The ages?"

"Eric did say this was an old pack," Tori commented as she thought about her boyfriend, missing his presence.

"Now," Russell spoke as everyone lifted up their shot glasses. "Drink." They m watched as everyone drank their shot, and the cousin's felt their stomach's drop when they noticed the crowd become energized. "I leave you to amongst your own to celebrate."

As he left everyone cheered as a burning brand was brought on stage. Victoria felt sick as Debbie screamed out in pain as the metal met with her skin.

"Oh, god," she whispered out in shock, wondering why anyone would allow themselves to go through that pain.

"Debbie, you dumb bitch," Alcide growled as everyone cheered while his ex-fiancée screamed. "This is so fucking wrong!"

Cooter jumped on stage, taking his shirt off, and howling. Both Tori and Sookie opened their mouths in shock as he pulled his pants down and shifted into a wolf. He licked Debbie's brand before hoping onto the stereo howling.

Everyone threw down their shot glasses in response and Tori heard the warning bells going off in her mind as everyone began to take off their clothes.

"What's happening?" Sookie looked to Alcide and Tori with wide eyes, confusion and fear shining in her brown eyes.

"Are they shifting?" Victoria asked in a panic, trying to calm her erratic heartbeat, but issue became more pressing as the second went by.

Alcide was grunting and groaning as he growled out, "You both need to get out of here." He turned to them with amber eyes, "Run. Run!"

They turned away from their friend and sped toward the exit, their hands finding each other's before they disappeared.

ALCIDE WAS DRIVING crazily, almost as if someone was chasing them.

"What the bloody hell happened back there?" Tori panted out as she looked out the window, her heart pounding, and breath catching in her throat as he swerved. Flashbacks of when her parents went over the bridge had her wanting to scream in fear.

"Why were they shifting?" Sookie wondered, catching her own breath. "You almost shifted."

"Couldn't help it. When that energy starts rolling, it takes you over. We're lucky we got out of there alive," he growled out and hit his steering wheel. "Fuck!"

"I know it was terrible—"

Alcide interrupted the blonde, "You don't know anything."

"Hey, we might not be fucking werewolves, but I know some, I know how much it hurts. And from what I can tell, you don't break bones" Tori ranted, inhaling and exhaling, trying to stop herself from having a panic attack.

Sookie nodded and then retorted, "Well, I know that if you don't slow down, you're going kill us." She then frowned and shouted, "We are not gonna die because of your shitty girlfriend and a Mississippi pothole!" When Alcide pulled over, she looked at him guiltily. "I had to be mean to make you listen. I'm sorry."

"She wasn't always shitty," the werewolf told them. "We were great together." He looked down as he realized how messed up she was. "When she wasn't drinking or cheating. She used to play horseshoes with my dad. Help my mom plant tomatoes."

"But tonight she was half-naked in a wolf skin, getting branded," Sookie replied softly.

Tori sighed as she caught her bearings. And wanting to take his mind off his sucky girlfriend, she demanded, "Tell us more about Russell Edgington."

"He's just some rich vampire," Alcide shrugged. "That's all I knew till tonight."

"I gotta talk to him," Sookie said and then glanced to Tori, "we gotta talk to him".

Alcide looked to the women seated next to him in disbelief. "Are you out of your fucking mind?"

Victoria nodded as she turned in her seat slightly to look him in the eyes. "It might sound crazy, hell, it is crazy. And trust me, I'm fucking scared, but I'm not going to let my cousin give up on someone she believes in. Plus, the brand the blood, the vampire, it all makes so much sense, but leads to more questions. So, he knows where Bill is, or he knows who knows."

Sookie smiled at her cousin in appreciation. "I am so happy that I have you by my side."

Alcide glared at his new friend's. "I promised Eric I'd keep you both out of trouble. You ain't going near him, Tori!"

LATER THAT NIGHT, Tori had straightened her hair, took out the contacts, and took off the heavy makeup and terrible outfit. Though, she kept the fake tattoo, actually liking it.

Both her and Sookie were taking a nap when they woke up suddenly to Alcide arguing with someone.

They paused at the doorway to see Debbie turn to them with a glare on her features. "That's the neighbor's?" Debbie growled. "Oh, hell no."

"They have nothing to do with this," Alcide defended his friends, trying to get her attention off of them.

Debbie frowned to the women, her eyes narrowed. "You're fucking my wolf, bitches. In my house."

Sookie spoke up after Debbie's thoughts, "Like you did with Coot and Roy, Travis, and Bobby?"

"You're terrible," Tori told the woman with wide eyes, not believing someone would do that to someone with a big heart like Alcide.

Debbie lunged for them, however Alcide took a hold of her as she growled out, "What'd you say to me, whore's?"

Alcide growled at Debbie as he protectively stood in front of the girl's. "I'm strong enough to throw you out of here, blood or no blood."

Sookie rolled her eyes at the female werewolf as she said. "No, we're not sleeping with him."

Tori nodded along with her cousin. "You traded this good person who loves you for a shot of V, that burn on your back, and a dumb biker who's half the man and half the wolf that Alcide is."

"I will fuck you up!" Debbie shouted as she tried to lunge for them again. "I will cut you!"

Sookie and Victoria went to step forward, however, Alcide warned them, "Ladies, back off."

"Where is Bill Compton?" The blonde asked harshly.

A confused look crossed Debbie's face, and that's when they realized she was more clueless than them.

LATER, THEY STOOD in the living room, looking to one another.

Suddenly, after Sookie must've read Alcide's mine as he tried to make his way to the door. "What's a packmaster?"

Alcide frowned at her. "Goddamn it."

Sookie shrugged with a sheepish expression. "I gotta do what I gotta do."

"This is Were business. It's against our laws to tell you anything," he told them with an apologetic, but slightly angry expression.

"I've been listening to dark, private thoughts since I was a little girl," Sookie told their werewolf friend. "Keeping secrets is how I survive, Alcide," Sookie said.

Alcide stared for a few seconds before glaring. "No."

Sookie frowned and squared her shoulders as she slowly approached him. "Then I'll have to dig it out of your head, and I really don't like do that."

Alcide watched her and he must've found what he was looking for because he then spoke up, "Pack isn't a democracy. Most Weres don't have much sense. You both saw. They're all teeth and fight and sex. Packmaster's our alpha. He makes the big decisions, keeps the rest of us in line."

"Alpha," Tori commented, nodding.

The blonde looked at him seriously. "How much does your packmaster know about last night."

"That's what I have to find out," the werewolf said with a nod. "He'll tell us what to do."

Victoria walked towards him quickly, her head held high. "Then we're coming along."

He pointed to them with a shake of his head. "I am not breaking anymore rules for either of you."

Sookie stood up next to her cousin, "Then you might as well invite Debbie over to tear us up. Because that's what she's gonna try to do."

Tori smiled as she patted him on the shoulder as she made her way out of the room, "Work with us. It will get easier. Trust me."

IT WAS NEARLY two hours later and they were speaking to the packmaster.

"If these were ordinary Were junkies scoring the street," Alcide told his packmaster with a down. "I wouldn't be here, but they're organized and drinking from the source. Sookie and Victoria were there, they can back me up."

The packmaster frowned at them. "You'll be disciplined for exposing us to human's, Alcide."

The younger werewolf nodded. "Yes, sir."

"It's not his fault," Sookie reasoned, "And we only wanted to tell you what we saw."

The packmaster sighed as he looked between them. "I already know all about it."

Tori crossed her arms, sighing. "Then you have a plan?" She bit her lip and looked around them, really wanting to be in Eric's arm's, especially considering that while they were napping, she was having a dream about him.

"Whatever it is, I support you, sir, 100 percent," Alcide added with a nod and a small smile.

The old werewolf looked at them pointedly, "Do nothing, tell no one."

Alcide was confused and he furrowed his brows. "How's that help the pack?"

"Russell Edgington—"

Sookie was interrupted by the packmaster, "There's nothing I can do about him. He's the godddamn vampire king of Mississippi."

The blonde frowned and whispered, "Bill".

"Colonel Flood," Alcide implored, "That gang is recruiting. We can't just sit back and let some fanger pick us off one by one."

Flood narrowed his eyes at him. "Edgington is ancient. He's had a pack of Were serving him for centuries all over the world. Now he's on our doorstep. We gonna be smart. Let him do what he wants to do until he goes away."

Alcide frowned along with his new friends as he said, "If he's a part of our history, you should have told us about him."

Flood huffed, "I am saving us from extinction."

Alcide tensed up as he tried to stay composed, but it facial features were giving him away. "I'd rather be extinct than slave to a dead man."

Colonel Flood kept his face impassive as he walked to his car, and then opened the door as he said, "Don't question your packmaster, boy."

Alcide widened his eyes, "Colonel Flood, we gotta do something!"

"Let him go," Sookie said, putting her hand on her hips. "He can't help. He's afraid."

"Bullshit," Flood glared as he got into his car. "Alcide, obey."

As he drove away, Sookie looked to Alcide, "It wasn't bullshit."

He turned to them with a nod. "I know." He placed his hands on their shoulders, "I trust you both."

Just then, Tori's phone rung, Damon's name popping up. She gave them a look before walking away, answering it. "Why are you calling, Day?" She then frowned. "Is Elena and Jeremy alright? Did something—"

"Well, we're not exactly safe here. Tyler was attacked by a hunter who found out what he was. And your friend Godric isn't here at the moment. He had left to do something real quick, but... do you think that you can get your other vampire friend here to help us?"

"I can't do that," she told him before looking over at Sookie who was giving her a look to which she understood immediately what it meant. "But, I think I can be able to make it."

"No, absolutely not. I will not put you in danger," he told her, probably shaking his head. "Plus, Elena and Jeremy will kill me."

Tori chuckled before shaking her head. "I'll try to get there by tomorrow morning. Bye!" She then hung up quickly before facing Sookie and Alcide. "My family and friends need my help. Sookie—"

"Go," she told her with a small smile. "I can handle this on my own... with Alcide."

Tori chuckled and then pulled the blonde into a hug. "I love you so much, Sook."

"I know," the blonde chuckled and pulled away. "We'll drive you to the airport, at least."

Alcide tensed as Tori pulled him into a hug. "Thank you so much for your help, Alcide. And I hope we can keep in contact with one another because you're awesome."

He smiled as he pulled away from her, placing his hand on her head before ruffling her hair. "Come on. Let's get you to the airport before someone happens."
