2331.

THAT NIGHT, SELENE helps Prudence and Dorcas light the candles as Agatha glances up at Sabrina. "Sabrina, your mother's dress."

"Right," Sabrina stands up and takes her mother's dress off of a hanger carefully. She then sets the dress down on the table in front of the group. Selene finds herself in between Agatha and Sabrina, curious as if this will actually work.

"All right, then," Agatha sighs, deciding to lead the séance. "Hands face down on the table, pinkies touching. Now, focus your energy. Send it into the table. When Diana's spirit is here, she may speak herself or through me or some combination."

Selene does as told, putting both of her hands face down on the cool wood of the table. She gingerly brushes her pinkies against Agatha and Sabrina's before she focused her magic on the table, keen on summoning Diana Spellman's spirit.

"Spirits below and above, spirits in between, caught in the fabric betwixt worlds, we ask that the veil be lifted and that you send forth the spirit of Diana Regina Sawyer-Spellman," Agatha closes her eyes and whispers. "Diana, you're welcome to this house, to this circle."

The room is silent for a moment before Selene speaks up. "Diana, if you're here with us, do something to let us know."

In response, Diana blows out some of the candles. Sabrina and the Weird sister's gasp, but Selene doesn't move an inch, surprised to find that Diana's voice is in her head.

"I'm here."

Her eyes shoot open before she turns to Agatha in bewilderment. "Did you hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"Your mother told me she's here," Selene tells Sabrina, confused as to how Diana is speaking to her instead of Agatha. She should only be inside the head of the witch administering the séance, and that's Agatha, not Selene. But Selene's guessing it has something to do with the banshee blood running through her veins. And she doesn't want to take any chances on it being a trickster spirit, so she decides to ask a personal question. "If you're really Diana Spellman, then... how'd you die?"

She feels Sabrina shift uncomfortably on the floor beside her, because it's a touchy subject for her. She misses her parents more than anything.

"2331."

Selene feels her heart lift gently at this, and she instantly knows its Sabrina's mother. No other spirit could possibly know that. "She said 2331."

"That doesn't make any sense," Dorcas shakes her head in pure confusion.

But to Sabrina, it does make sense. "My mother and father died in a plane crash. Their flight number was 2331. So, it is you, Mom."

"Yes, it is."

"It's her."

"I have so many questions for you," Sabrina smiles in relief, so happy she can finally speak to her mother again, even if it's just for a little while. "But first, I want- I wish I could see you again."

"I'll try."

Selene grows worried as to what she means, and then Dorcas feels the air shift. "Do you feel that? Like static electricity building in the air?"

"I feel it," Selene nods, goosebumps rising on her skin. She hears electricity cackle, and her eyes shoot open only to see Diana Spellman standing in front of her and Sabrina in her wedding dress. Selene had seen a lot of pictures of the woman, so she instantly recognizes her. She's just as beautiful as she was in the pictures with blonde, curly hair that falls down to her shoulders, crystalline skin, and high cheek bones. To Selene, she looks almost like an angel.

A single tear falls from Sabrina's cheek as she rises to her feet, staring at the ghost of her mother in disbelief. "Mom? Mom, you're beautiful."

"Thank you."

"Brina, she said ,'thank you'," Selene informs, standing up so that she's besides Sabrina. "Diana, why are you stuck in mortal limbo?"

"Is there something we can help you finish or do?" Sabrina questions, tears now streaming from her eyes. Selene gently takes the Spellman girl's hand in an effort to comfort her.

"Not safe."

"She said 'it's not safe'."

"What do you mean?" Sabrina asks in confusion. "You're not safe or I'm not?"

This sparks Selene's concern, and her eyes widen. "Is Sabrina in danger?"

"One question at a time," Prudence reminds, much calmer than the other girls.

"How can I help you, Mom?" Sabrina continues desperately. "Please. Please tell me."

Selene then feels her stomach drop, and she makes eye contact with Agatha. "Something's wrong."

"There's some kind of interference," Agatha breathes, her hands beginning to shake slightly. "Other spirits."

"Mom?" Sabrina whispers, staring at her mother who now seems troubled, like there's something she's aching to tell her daughter. "Is someone with you?"

Prudence then opens her eyes, glancing at Diana. "Selene, Agatha, what's wrong with her?"

"She's not talking to me anymore," Selene shakes her head gently as the ghost of the woman pales.

"It could be that other entities are threatening her or coming in after her," Agatha adds as Selene gently moves towards the candles.

"Dangerous," the voice of an old woman says in Selene's head—Selene recognizing her voice as one of the benevolent ones in her head. "Make her go back to limbo."

"We need to break the connection. Now."

At this, Sabrina looks at her best friend pleadingly. "No, Selene, we've barely gotten started."

"Sabrina, this is dangerous," Selene replies, but the look in Sabrina's eyes breaks her heart. She hasn't seen Sabrina look this way since she broke up with Harvey. "Your mother isn't the only spirit with us."

"Mom, whatever's going on, don't go, please," Sabrina begs her mother's spirit, and the ghost of the woman begins to look overwhelmed, like this is too much for her. "Please stay with me."

"Sabrina, Selene, the Yule log's gone out-" Zelda bursts into the room in her night clothes, trailing off once she sees Diana, unable to believe her eyes. "Diana."

"Mom, don't! Wait!" Sabrina cries as Diana disappears, returning to limbo. Her dress falls back onto the table as if she were never there. The Weird sister's and Selene then turn to look at Zelda anxiously, but Sabrina almost seems apologetic for not telling her aunt.

"Aunt Zelda, I can explain everything."

"I think you'd better," Zelda decides emotionlessly before turning to the Weird sister's. "As for you three, haven't you got to get back to the academy for some sort of bed check?"

Selene smiles at Prudence as she stands up and leaves, Dorcas and Agatha trailing behind her. She then heaves a sigh, giving Zelda her full attention. "We didn't put out the log."

Zelda scoffs before she turns on her heel and storms out of the room. Selene and Sabrina follow her down the stairs to the living room where Hilda is sitting. Zelda then sits down on the couch besides her sister and narrows her eyes at the girl's. "So is it a mere coincidence that the Yule log, lit to keep away all unearthly things, including spirits, was unlit at the exact time you two decided to convene with Diana's ghost? And, why, tonight of all nights, on the eve of the Solstice, did you two feel the need to contact her?"

"I saw my mom trapped in limbo and I wanted to release her," Sabrina admits timidly, but Selene stays silent.

"And what's your excuse?" Zelda then asks the redhead.

"Well, I wanted to make sure she didn't accidentally summon the wrong ghost and end up dead," Selene shrugs, sitting down on the couch across from the eldest Spellman.

"So why in Satan's name didn't you two tell us?" Zelda demands. "We could have helped you two and Diana."

Selene and Sabrina exchanged glances before Sabrina wrinkles her eyebrow. Normally when Selene and Sabrina come up with a plan like this, Zelda would instantly veto it, saying they'll wind up dead. "You would've done that?"

"Of course. Diana was my brother's wife. Honestly, girls, sometimes I don't think you two understand the meaning of family at all."

Ambrose then walks into the room holding a device that'll inform you as to if there's a spirit in the house that means you harm. Hilda speaks up when she sees him. "Ambrose, love, er, did you find anything?"

"I checked every room and closet," Ambrose exclaims, watching the contraction in his hand spin. "If some malevolence got in whilst the Yule log was out, they let once Aunt Hilda relit it."

He continues to check the room before Hilda scoffs. "Or they're very adapt at hiding."

"Either way, so much for a peaceful Solstice."

"I'm going to bed," Hilda rides to her feet, glaring at the teenage girls in front of her. "I suggest everyone sleep with a lit warding candle and pray to Satan to keep us safe."

Zelda then walks out the room, and Hilda's not far behind her. Once they're gone, Sabrina sits down on the couch across from Selene and Ambrose plops down next to the redhead.

"So, did you guys figure out what was keeping her in limbo?" Ambrose asks curiously as Selene rubs her temples.

"No," the redhead frowns, resting her head on his shoulder tiredly. "Somehow, Diana broke the link with Agatha and she was talking to me. But then something went wrong. I could feel it."

"I didn't even get a chance to ask her what to do about Harvey," Sabrina points out somberly.

"I'm sorry, Brina," Selene apologizes, truly sorry. "Maybe we can try again sometime?"

"Maybe after Solstice," Sabrina nods before standing up and yawning. "I'm going to bed. I'll see you two in the morning."

"Good night," Selene yells after her friend. But Sabrina continues walking towards the stairs, leaving Selene and Ambrose.

As soon as Sabrina's gone, Ambrose turns to Selene, using the smile that he only uses for her and Nicholas, the one that makes Selene's heart fill with so much happiness she feels like her heart's gonna burst. "We should probably go to bed soon, too."

"I'd kind of rather stay right here," Selene admits as Ambrose wraps an arm around her. She finds the warmth radiating off of his body comforting, so they move so that they're laying on the couch besides each other. Selene's face is a few inches from his, and she grins at him.

"What're you staring at?" He questions, grabbing a blanket and putting it over them so they can stay warm.

"You," the girl whispers simply before she leans forward and kisses him. "Good night."

"Good night, love."
