~Night's pov

~Night, are you sure we're going the right way?~ Celeana asked worriedly, looking around lost.

I don't blame her. We were walking to the top of Reversal mountain. But I was sure I could feel Emma up there.

I nodded. "She's near. I can feel it."

~It's gonna be funny if Faith and the others find her first.~ Trust giggled.

I sighed. "We are going the right way. I'm sure of it."

~I just don't understand how you can do it. Track her I mean. I can't even feel her presence anywhere.~ Celeana shook her head.

"I guess it's sorta like a homing instinct. Emma's apart of me, I can feel her pain and other emotions. Believe me it drives me crazy how emotional that girl is." I snorted a little. "But I know she has good reason."

Hope smirked. ~You're worried about her, aren't you?~ She teased.

"Of course I am." I glared. "You three are." I mumbled.

~Yeah... guess you're right.~ She sighed. ~How much further do you think it is?~

I shook my head. "I don't know. I feel her aura, not location... But we're close."

~It makes sense though, her being up Reversal mountain. After all it is where...~ Celeana stopped herself and looked at the ground. ~Where N plans to awaken The three.~

>Emma's pov

I woke suddenly from my dreamless sleep. I was lying against Rioyaru with my head resting on her shoulder, I could hear her steady heart beats in her chest and her deep, even breaths. Her tail was wrapped protectively around me like a blanket as usual and she was asleep with her head lying next to me. She looked peaceful but slightly on edge, but I was to so you couldn't really blame her. Especially in a place like this.

I shifted my position a little, trying not to wake up Rioyaru but failing. As soon as I moved she raised her head and looked at me calmly, a small smile showing through.

~Sleep well?~ She asked in a quiet voice as if trying to prevent anyone from hearing us talking.

I nodded. "Slept better, slept worse." I shrugged talking in a whisper.

Yeah, I wasn't really in the mood to attempt to collect to Songs of Ice and Dragon right now, so keeping quiet and making them think I was still asleep was probably the best option.

She nodded. ~A few grunts have come to check on you. But I scared them off.~

I smiled at little. "I have no doubt you did."

~Cyrus came by also. But he left when he saw you still asleep.~

I nodded. "I seriously do not get him."

~How so?~

"Well first I think I was 'daddy's little girl' then he freaken abused me and I thought he hated me now I find pictures I drew him when I was 1-4 years old." I sighed. "Believe me though, I still hate him." I mumbled remembering to keep my voice down.

Rio's ears twitched for a moment. ~Someone's coming.~ She warned.

"Really?" I groaned quietly. "Oh I know. I'm going to pretend that I'm still sleeping. Play along." I told her quietly.

She nodded and rested her head next to me again while I shifted back to my original position and closed my eyes, trying to keep my breathing even a my body relaxed.

There was a sound of a key turning in a lock and the door swung open with a slight creaking noise. Rioyaru raised her head and growled at whoever it was, wrapping her tail around me tighter.

Whoever it was grumbled something to themselves and the door creaked shut again, the lock clicking once again.

I breathed a small sigh of relief and turned back around to face Rioyaru. She smiled and nodded. ~Grunts are so stupid.~ She snorted quietly.

I nodded back and closed my eyes for a moment.

I couldn't pretend to be asleep forever. Eventually they'd catch on or 'wake me up' to get the final two Lullabies. N was clearly dragging this out to make it harder for me. Who seriously does that to a traumatised fifteen year old girl? Certainly not normal people who don't have cold hate potatoes for hearts, that's for sure.

And what about Silver? What would happen to him after I carried out N's wishes? What about Rioyaru and Wind dancer? All three I cared about a lot and all three may be in danger... because of me.

Something N had said came into my mind when I thought about Roiyaru. "Would you mind as to subdue the Arcanine, it may still be of importance." What did N mean by that?

~Are you okay Emma?~ Rioyaru asked breaking my train of thought.

I opened my eyes. "No, I'm not okay." I said quietly. "I'm scared... terrified, worried, angry, confused just to name a few."

Rio nudged my cheek. ~It's alright I'm here. Nothing's gonna hurt you.~ She said trying to sooth me.

I shook my head. "That's exactly what's gonna happen. N's bound to notice that I've been faking being asleep and will eventually get sick of waiting and force me to get the last two Songs from Articuno and Rayquaza." I felt a wave of tears threatening to fall.

Footsteps echoing in the hall caught my attention but Rioyaru and I were to late to do anything as the lock clicked and the door swung open. "Up at last I see." N smirked.

Arg, I seriously hate him.

I gritted my teeth but stayed quiet. wrapping my fingers around Rioyaru's main as if to reassure myself that she was still there.

Rio growled at N and lifted slightly, warning him to stay away from me or she would lunge, by the way she was growling I'd say for his throat.

N narrowed his eyes at Rioyaru. "I suggest you calm down your mutt unless you wish to be separated from her." He told me.

I turned to her, gently tugged at her mane to get her attention. She turned to me, her face dropping from a snarl and the growling cease.

"Please Rio, calm down. I don't want to loose you." I begged so quietly that only she could hear. If N could I'm sure he'd snicker or something.

Rio looked at me then glanced at N for a second before looking back to me. She sighed and nodded. ~I'm sorry.~ She said. ~I just... don't want you to get hurt anymore.~

I gently stroked her ear. "Remember what you just told me? Its going to be okay." I said even though I didn't be leave it, I just didn't want to be alone.

She nodded.

N, seeming to have lost his patience cleared his throat and we turned to him. "Now are you going to follow or do I need to get grunts to force you." He said narrowing his eyes.

I looked back at Rioyaru and nodded to her and we stood up together. I kept my grip on her mane with my right hand as we walked towards N. Both Rioyaru and N were taller than me, though N was taller than Rio and the gap between me and Rioyaru and I was small.

He narrowed his eyes at us but walked down the hall, telling us to follow. I tightened my grip on her mane before following. I couldn't shake the feeling that something didn't add up. Something just wasn't right. But what was it?

A sudden screech snapped me from my thoughts and I looked up, startled by the sudden noise.

We were now standing in front of a door metal door. The edges of it were covered with frost and I could feel the could radiating from the inside N opened the door and called for me to follow. I shuffled closer to Rioyaru before I did.

The inside of this room was like being in a giant freezer. Like a gigantic freezer at minus something-something or other degrees. I immediately started to shiver, and not cause if a freeze attack. Every time Articuno screeched a chill went down my spine. Her voice was like ice and her every attack seemed to chill the room more.

N signalled the grunts to opened the door and they did.

"I'm sure you get how things work now?" He asked turning to the two of us.

I nodded and glanced at Rioyaru giving her a brief nod before letting go of her mane, walking inside the cage, the door slamming behind me.

Articuno saw me and immediately went onto attacking me with multiple ice-type moves.

Sharp icicles flew in my direction I ran out of the way with a Yelp of surprise. It was quite difficult because the ground was covered in snow. Articuno sent out another wave of icicles and for a moment everything seemed to move in slow motion as one of the icicles caught the edge on my jumper, sending me flying back and the icicle imbedded itself it the wall behind me, pinning me to it.

I screamed in pain as my back slammed hard against the wall. I heard Rioyaru shouting my name desperately.

I looked up at her and nodded, before wincing slightly in pain. I started to pull at the icicle, slam my fists against it or do anything I could in a desperate attempt to free myself and to make matters worse, my blood was starting to feel like ice, signalling that I was about to have a 'freeze attack'.

I groaned. Not now. Any time but now!

Articuno landed in front of me. Fury, anger and pain mixed in its cold eyes.

She could finish me off right now.

~Cowardly human.~ She sneered. ~You shake pay for taking my freedom.~

I felt tears forming in my eyes. "Please! No!" I cried out.

~Not so tough now are you!?~ She screeched triumphantly.

Rioyaru was desperately trying to get to me. N was smirking slightly... Wait when did Cyrus get there? Anyway he looked emotionless as I still tried to free myself.

I looked back at Articuno was sneering at me. Preparing what looked like a sheer cold attack.

"Please don't!" I cried out again, still flailing uselessly against the icicle pinning me to the wall.

~It is to late for that.~ Articuno sneered.

I squeezed my eyes shut, letting my body fall limp. This was it. I wasn't going to die in some 'final battle'. I was going to die here pinned to the wall by a Pokemon who was so posed to be an alli.

There was a bright flash and my body tensed expecting to feel the deathly freeze of the sheer cold attack

(A/N I could end the chapter right here but I'm by going to)

The attack never came. I opened my eyes to see Wind dancer had escaped from her Pokeball and was standing between Articuno and I her fluffy wings spread wide between us as she glared daggers at the much larger Articuno.

~Step aside Altaria.~ Articuno glared.

~Emma's fight is my fight and I will not let you harm her.~ My shiny Pokémon glared.

~But you could be free.~ Articuno said in slight confusion. ~Free from this traitorous scum.~

~DON'T YOU DARE CALL EMMA SCUM!~ Windy screeched. ~And I don't wish to be free, I wish for you to stop your attacks and leave her be. She doesn't need you to complicate her life anymore than those two bozos have.~ She said gesturing to Cyrus and N. ~Now all she wants is the Song of Ice and she will leave you be.~ Wind dancer lowered her wings but still looked wary.

~Wait, Song of Ice? Oh my god. I almost killed the Voice of Purity. I'm such an idiot.~ She wailed. Funny three minutes ago I thought she was going to kill me now she's wailing like a baby.

Wind dancer flew to my side and smashed the icicle pinning to the wall. I fell strait to the floor. A combination of being locked in a cell with an enraged Articuno and a Freeze attack leaves you feeling pretty numb.

Articuno let out a small sniff. ~I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. Here let me give you want you need.~ She tapped my head lightly with her beak and the Song of Ice came into my mind.

Croa Riou Croa Neu Tue Rei Croa Riou Ze Rei Va

"Th-thank y-you." I said shivering.

It's official, I now hate ice and all things cold.

~May I ask what you're doing with these humans?~ Articuno asked as Wind dancer wrapped her arm around me.

"I'm-I'm in th-the s-same boat you are. They kidnaped m-me." I stuttered.

The door swung open and with help from Wind dancer I stood up and walked... more like stumbled out.

As soon as I was out Rioyaru was by my side and I wrapped my arms around her warm neck. Since she was a fire type, Rioyaru was like a hot water bottle. Her fiery orange fur warming up my freezing skin.

I heard footsteps approaching and I looked up just in time to see a hand slap itself against my ice cold cheek, making it sting more than it would have.

I raised my hand to it to see N glaring at me. "You cheated." He hissed. "You were meant to do it on your own."

"Well excuse me for my Pokemon breaking out on its own to safe me from dying. Next time I'll remember to just get hit by the sheer cold attack. I'm probably better off dead anyway. At least I wouldn't have to put up with all the crap you and my so called after give me." I snapped back, meeting his glare.

Rioyaru let out a growl and Wind dancer stepped closer to me fluffing up her feathers to make her seem bigger, both my Pokémon glared at N.

"You still have one more Song to collect." He said. "And this time, both of your Pokemon stay out of the cage. Got it?"

I glared at him but sighed. "Got it."

"Good."
