>Emma's pov<

Okay, I officially hate hallways and whoever invented them! It seems we've been walking FOREVER! Well, Silver walking and me riding Rioyaru. It was strangely empty. We'd walked past a few grunt patrols but hidden before anyone noticed.

I laid my head on Rioyaru's neck, burying my face into her mane I let out a sigh. I never asked for any of this. Why can't I just be left alone? Who said I wanted to be the Voice of Purity anyway? I never did.

"You alright Emma?" Silver whispered.

I turned my head to look at him but still laid on Rioyaru's back. "Yes and no." I sighed.

~Sorry to interrupt but someone's coming.~ Rio whispered.

Silver opened to door closest to him and we quickly walked in. Silver locked the door behind him. While I had a look around.

We we're in someone's office by the looks of things and it seemed empty. Good I looked at the label on the desk and sighed when I read the name.

Of course it just had to be Cyrus's office didn't it?

I sweat dropped. Who know my author couldn't get sarcasm.

I rolled my eyes and decided to poke around, who wouldn't and who knows what I could find. I signalled for Rioyaru to walk over to the filing cabinet and I started going trough it, Silver was going through the desk.

I red all the labels. Bills, Pokemon, Legends of Dialga, Legends of Palkia, Legends of Giratena, The Voice of Purity, Emma, Mythical places... wait Emma? That's me!

I pulled of the file and called Silver over, opening the folder. The first thing in the folder was my birth certificate. I glanced over it, seeing my mother and fathers names, date of birth that sort of thing. Nothing I hadn't seen before. I flicked over the page and saw a drawing I'd done of a Starly when I was three.

Weird, why would he keep that?

I flicked through more pages, seeing drawings I'd done, photos and other documents. Near the back there were also news paper clippings of after I'd become champion of all the regions I am as well as a recent on about me being in pinwheel and the oldest one about when I was taken off Cyrus when I was seven.

I closed the file and put it back in its spot. Why would Cyrus keep half of that stuff? I mean, it was worthless to him. Nothing but a reminder of how my life used to be before he decide to fuck it up.

I closed my eyes and ran my fingers through Rioyaru's mane.

"Let's get out of here Silv." I sighed.

He nodded, not finding anything if interest on the laptop sitting on the desk. He opened the door and peeked out, then motioned for me to follow. We closed the door behind us. We rounded the corner and came face to face with the last two people I wanted as well as a weird looking guy with yellow hair and a long blue... fringe...? I guess rounding his head the defied the laws a gravity. I think his name was Colrass or something.

"Damn it." I mumbled as Rioyaru snarled at the three of them.

"Why Emma, what are you doing out of your room you naughty girl." Cyrus smirked.

I bit my cheeks to stop myself from getting overly angry or upset.

N shook his head. "I allow you to keep your brother and Pokemon with you and this is how you repay me? I must say I'm disappointed with you." He teased.

"Hey you kidnapped me remember, anyone's natural instinct would be to try and escape." I retorted.

N snorted and turned to Colrass? "Would you mind as to subdue the Arcanine, it may still be of importance."

"With pleasure lord N." Faster than I could track Colrass pulled out a grey box thingy and shot a beam of blue light at Rioyaru's forehead.

The beam hit its target and Rioyaru reared in pain, throwing me from her back.

I let out a small squeal of surprise. Wait, I don't squeal! I never squeal. I scream not squeal... Anyway back to the point.

I landed of the ground with a thud, wincing in pain. Silver quickly came to my side and helped me sit up.

I looked at Rioyaru who was shaking her head ferociously as if trying to get something out. He eyes were glowing an evil red as she growled and snarled at everything around her as she tried to fight what was right and wrong.

"Rio!" I screamed, knowing that Colrass was trying to turn her against me.

Rioyaru let out a howl of pain. I winced as I felt pain tug at my heart to see her in so much pain.

"Rio please fight it!" I cried out.

"It's useless." Colrass smirked. "Resistance is futile, the longer you struggle the more the pain increases until the subject no longer had the strength or will to fight back."

I felt a tear threaten to fall. But I held it back and stood up with help from Silver.

"Rio! I know you can do this!" I screamed at her as she continued to trash about. "You can fight it and I'm right here with you! Please!" I begged. "Just don't give up!"

With one last violent shake Rioyaru opened her eyes and looked around, her eyes returning to their normal brown colour.

"Impossible." Colrass gasped. "It's just impossible!"

Rioyaru turned around so that she was facing N, Cyrus and Colrass.

~Stay away from my trainer!~ She snarled and giving them a death glare that would send any normal person high tailing at least 50 meters away.

Unfortunately Cyrus, N and Colrass were not normal people. Nothing new there. Though the three of them seemed shocked that Rioyaru had broken out of whatever control Colrass had over her.

N pulled put a little box thing and pushed a black button on top without saying a word.

Without warning something cold a sharp pressed up against my neck. I stiffened knowing good and well that it was most likely the Shadow triad teleporting behind Silver and I. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Silver had a blade pressed against his throat as well. He was still holding me up but neither of us could move without risking getting hurt. Well Silver anyway, I don't think N would kill me but he knew I had enough smarts as to do what I'm told for my brothers sake.

Rioyaru turned around and snarled at the Shadow triad.

"Unless you have a death wish, I suggest you call off your Arcanine." N said smugly.

I swallowed hard. "Rio, do what he says." I said as calmly as I was able.

Rio's eyes softened and she nodded, not taking her eyes off the Shadow triad member holding me.

"Very smart of you Emma." N smirked.

I didn't say anything, I just kept switching my gaze from Silver to Rioyaru.

"Take the girl and her Arcanine to the west wing near the containing units and take her brother back where he was. But in a different cell obviously." N told the Triad member.

They nodded and i was torn from Silver's grasp. I whimpered and struggled until the blade was pressed harder against my neck, drawing a small amount of blood. Silver was taken back the way we had come while I was lead down a different hall. I was finding it hard to walk and I kept tripping over my own feet. The Shadow Triad member holding me had moved the knife but I could tell he was getting sick of catching me. He hit me over the back of my head and pressed the knife back against my throat meaning that if I tripped again, I'd risk hurting myself on it.

Rio let a growl from behind him but couldn't do anything to stop him without risking him killing me.

He snorted and shoved me into a room, Rioyaru ran in after me. Snapping at the Triad member as he slammed the door shut.

I fell hard on the floor and let out a gasp of pain as my still unhealed wounds slammed against the cold, hard floor. Rioyaru quickly ran to my side, helping me sit up.

~Emma are you alright?~ She said quickly looking me over.

I nodded and winced as I sat up. "A little bruised but that's all."

She sighed with relief. ~Thank goodness.~

I started to shiver as my blood started feeling like ice again. Damn it of all times for me to be hit by a... I'm just gone call it a freeze attack... it had to be now.

"Rio?" I said quietly.

~Yeah?~ She asked worriedly.

"I'm cold." I whispered.

Her eyes softened as she laid down next to me, wrapping her body and tail around me to keep me warm.

I snuggled into her fur, suddenly feeling beyond exhausted. I closed my eyes and was soon fast asleep.
