>Hope's pov<

~Of course of all places I could have landed, I landed in a tree.~ I sighed and looked at the upside down world around me.

I was wedged upside down between two branches at least 16 meters above the ground.

I huffed and wriggled around a bit more but still couldn't move.

~How's the weather up there?~ A smug voice asked.

I looked up... down... I looked up to look down... I don't know... at my sister smirking up at me.

~Hardy har har Trust.~ I glared.

~Need a paw?~ She cocked her head to the side.

~What do you think?~ I said sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes and leapt into the tree I was in and was as high up as I was in a matter of seconds. She walked behind me and gave me a push but it didn't work.

~Hmm... you're stuck tight.~ She muttered.

~I didn't realise.~

~...Alright don't move.~ She said slyly.

I tried to turn around to see her but couldn't. ~What are you doing?~ My eyes going wide.

Without answering the branch I was stuck between was suddenly blown off and I fell all 16 meters to the ground.

Trust jumped from the tree landing lightly on her paws. ~Gotta love the good-old-fashion Shadow ball.~ She smirked at I stood up and shook the bark from my slick black fur.

I whacked her over the head with my paw. ~Baka.~

~Hey, I saved your ass.~ She glared.

~Whatever... lets just fine Emma.~

Trust and I started to walk in a random direction.

~Am I the only one who's noticed that in dramatic/dangerous moments such as this, everyone always seems worried about the main character of the book?~ Trust cocked her head to the side. ~Even though other characters may or may not be in jut as much danger.~

~BAKA! You broke the fourth wall.~ I glared.

~I did...? Oops...~ Trust sweat dropped.

I rolled my eyes. ~Baka, now lets find Emma.~

~My question still stands.~

~Because without a main character there wouldn't be a story.~

~So what would happen if Emma died?~

~I don't know, the author would find some way to continue the book yet still make Emma the main focus.~

~That made no sense.~

~Yeah... our authors like that.~

~You know you're braking the fourth wall now?~

Damn it...

~Wait... do you smell that?~ Trust said stopping and sniffing the air.

I stopped as well and took a deep breath in through the nose.

Salt, water, trees, bush, salt, Trust, different Pokemon, salt and all mixed with...

...

... Blood?

I scrunched my nose at the disturbing sent.

I looked over at my sister who looked a little frightened. ~Could it be Emma?~ She gulped.

I sniffed the air again and shook my head. ~It's not.~ I'd been around Emma long enough to know exactly what she smells like and as an Umbreon I had a very good sense of smell.

~Should we check it out?~ Trust asked.

I nodded. ~It could be someone else we know besides Emma.~

Trust and I followed the sent and as we started to get closer I heard the sound of what must have been a viscous battle.

Trust gave me a confused and frightened look but we kept going. When we found the sight of the battle it was not a pretty one. It was between Twilight and N's Zoroark.

Twilight was holding her left arm which had three long deep claw marks along it and at the same time trying to defend herself from her opponent who was trying to get in close.

N's Zoroark used Dark pulse and hit Twilight's injured arm, knocking her back. I was about to jump in the battle when a flash if blue and black knocked back the illusion Pokemon.

~Stay away from her!~ Thunder hissed, his fur crackling with electricity.

Zoroark smirked. ~Naww, someone got a little crush.~ He said snidely.

Thunder's eyes went red. Uh oh. If Zoroark knows what's good for him, he'd shut up about Thunder's long time crush on Twilight.

Trust and I ran to Twilight's side.

~Are you alright?~ Trust asked.

Twilight nodded although she looked like she was in a lot of pain. I turned to see that the battle between Thunder and Zoroark was still going, though it was clear that Twilight had done a lot of damage to Zoroark and Thunder was at full health.

Stray attacks were flying everywhere so Trust and I helped Twilight get a little further back. Once we were at a safe distance and Twilight was sitting against a tree I turned to the battle once more. Thunder had Zoroark pinned underneath him and was snarling at him fearcely.

~Stay away from my girlfriend.~ Thunder growled before using Thunder fang and biting deep into Zoroark's shoulder.

When Zoroark stopped moving Thunder let him go and walked towards us. He nudged Twilight's good arm.

~Is your arm alright?~ He asked quietly, blushing slightly.

Twilight nodded. ~It'll be fine.~

~Are you sure?~ I asked her looking at the blood running down her arm. ~It looks deep.~

Twilight nodded again. ~Lets just find Emma. She could be a lot more hurt than just a scratch.~

~That is anything but a scratch.~ Trust frowned inspecting her arm. ~Though, Twilight's right, we need to find Emma. She could be hurt worse and N's probably looking for her to.~

The three of us agreed with her.

I looked up at the rising moon when a howl echoed through the forest.

Thunder's ears pricked as he looked towards the direction it had come from. ~That's Rio!~ Thunder exclaimed and Twilight and Thunder each howled in response.

Trust and I did the same although it sounded a bit more like a howl and a barking nose combined. Soon after another howl responded. I think it was Night since she was the last one of Emma's Pokemon who could howl. Howling was a way for more canine Pokémon to communicate with each other, like us.

~Sooo... What do we do now?~ Trust asked.

I shrugged. ~How should I know?~

~Maybe we should try and find ether Night or Rioyaru.~ Thunder suggested. ~If we find everyone then we have a higher chance of finding Emma.~

I nodded. ~Maybe we should split up then. Two of us find Rio then the other two find Night.~

~Shot gun not finding Night.~ Twilight said raising her good arm.

~Fine, Hope and I will go look for Night. Thunder, you take care of Twilight and go find Rioyaru. Is that agreed?~ Trust said.

We all nodded.

~Good. Come on then Hope.~ Trust said leading the way to where Night called.

I followed after saying goodbye to Thunder and Twilight.

Sorry it's been a while. I spent the weekend at my dads and I wrote a chapter there and when I got back I found that it deleted the whole darn thing -_- good on ya Wattpad, good on ya.

Well I got what I remembered down and u updated so... what do you think?
