25~ Emma's first date
>Silver's pov<
I shook my head after Emma had fallen asleep. She had completely changed from the inside to the out from the last time we'd seen her in Sinnoh. I get that she lived alone in a forest for six months. But I couldn't help but feel like there might be something else bothering her. I know she was afraid of what might happen in the future... but she depended on herself to much for my liking. This might just be my 'big brother' instincts kicking in... but I couldn't help but feel that Emma was continuing to hide stuff from us, but then again that's nothing new.
I know she's trying her best, but she still finds it hard to trust people... I guess it's something she's never been able to do... well not since we were both kids anyway.
I sighed as I remembered some of our childhood memory's. Compared to now, Emma seemed so innocent back then. I remember the first time I met her, when she was still a little baby, I asked out mother if she was a baby angel.
I looked at Emma who was being laid down in her sleeping bag by Red. She was completely different now, her eyes never held the same amount of joy and she always seemed kinda... lost. As if she was trying to find herself... who she truly was. She never looked at herself positively. Like she couldn't understand how brave, smart and beautiful she really is.
One things for sure though, I was going to help show her
(A/N naww how cute Slivy. You're showing how brotherly you really are.)
>Red's pov<
We entered Nimbasa city in good time, after only five days traveling. Now we were now heading to Nacrane city were we hopefully would be able to convince Lanora to give us the Light stone. Though we weren't quite sure what would happen. If Emma had the same reaction to the Light stone as she did the Grey stone then we may need to separate which had a danger in its self.
Silver told us that they ran into Team Plasma and they had gotten away with the Gray stone. But not before Silver have N both a bloody nose and lip as well as a black eye. Which pissed me off... he could have at least waited till I got a crack at him as well.
I looked at the shining sun then turned and looked at Emma who as usual was trailing behind, head down hands in pockets. Faith and Melody were invisible. Night walked by Silver's side, pretending to be one of his Pokemon and Hope was on my shoulder pretending to be mine while Trust remained at Emma's side. They were her three most trusted members and didn't want to leave her side so by the splitting up between us we would like a group of travellers and not to much attention would be given to Emma in general and with her on the run we thought it would be best if we did it this way to stop people looking only at Emma for having three out of region Pokemon but now they would look at us as a group rather than focusing on Emma and by temporarily changing their names people wouldn't find the link between Emma and the missing champion.
I had an idea of something nice I could do for Emma and I sped up for a moment so I was walking next to Silver. I whispered my plan to him and although hesitant at first he agreed.
We walked into the Pokemon centre since we had agreed to spend one night there.
Silver went to book us a room, Emma went to the wanted board and ripped down a few posters, shoving them in her pocket when no one was looking.
I walked up next to her. "Hey Em, wanna go out for a walk?"
Emma considered this for a moment. "Is Silver alright with this?" She asked raising her eyebrow.
"Would I ask if he wasn't?"
"Point taken..." She sighed. "Why not?"
I smiled a grabbed her hand and dragged her towards the amusement park.
We walked around for awhile, Emma looking around at everything. I noticed she kept on eyeing the fairy floss (candy floss) stands but she didn't say anything.
"Wait here a moment." I told her and ran up to the stand, buying two sticks of the fluffy pink sugar cloud.
When I got back to where Emma was waiting I found her leaning against a pole watching the Ferris wheel with a blank face.
She was in her own since we'd left her Pokemon (apart from those in there Pokéballs) with Silver and she looked slightly on edge because of it.
I handed her the fairy floss and she accepted it, smiling ever so slightly.
She mumbled her thanks and took a small bite. We found somewhere to sit and ate in silence.
"Hey Red?" Emma said breaking the silence.
"Yeah..."
"Is this a... a date?" She was blushing like mad.
"Do you want it to be?" I smiled a little even though I knew this was technically a date.
Emma shrugged and blushed a little, looking back up at the Ferris wheel. "I'm not sure... I don't think I've ever done this before..." She said quietly.
"Good." I said finishing the last oft fairy floss. "Cause I'm the only boy for you." I winked at her making her smile a little more.
Emma finished the rest of her fairy floss and we walked around a little, looking at the side show games.
"Do you want to play one?" I asked Emma.
"I don't have any money..." She replied quietly. "I lost most my stuff in Pinwheel."
"I'll pay. Go ahead and choose one."
"No thanks. You've already bought me something." She said shyly looking away.
"Emma, I said I'd pay for you to play so choose a game and stop complaining."
Emma rolled her eyes and fixed her hood before looking around at some if the carnival games. After what felt like an hour she pointed at one of the games.
"Let's just play that one."
I smirked. "That's more like it."
"Great. Another cocky bastard." Emma rolled her eyes again.
.*.*.
"How much longer do we have?" Emma asked fiddling with her Cyndaquil plush I won her.
We'd been here for a few hours, mostly wandering around looking at stuff, occasionally riding a ride or playing games. I checked my X-transceiver for the time. "I have one more thing I want to show you before we go back."
"Oh alright." Emma said smiling a little before she realised what she was doing and frowned again. She'd been doing this all afternoon, smiling for a moment before frowning.
I held her hand and led her to the Ferris wheel. I'd been dying to go in it with her all day but I wanted to wait until the time was right.
I led her onto the cart and we sat down next to each other. Emma stared out at the view blankly.
"It's beautiful." She murmured.
"So are you." I smiled.
She shook her head but didn't say anything.
"Do you remember when we first met?" I asked her.
"At Mt Silver? Yeah, why?" She cocked her head in confusion.
"Do you remember the question I asked you?"
Emma thought hard about this for a moment. "Didn't you ask me why I was on my journey?"
"Yup, and you replied by saying you were trying to find who you are." I looked into her dull blue eyes. "I made a promise that day that I wanted to help you find who you are... but do you know what? I've kinda been crushing on you since then." I asked.
"What?" She looked up into my red eyes.
I pressed lips against hers for a moment. When I pulled back I looked down at her and smiled. "I already know who you are. Now all I need to do is help you see it?"
Emma looked at her hands. "Who do you think I am then?"
"You're the bravest and prettiest girl I've ever met. The girl I fell in love with the girl I'm going to help love me back."
Emma shook her head and looked at me with tears in her eyes. "You're wrong." She looked out at the horizon. "I'm nothing more than a mis..."
"No you're not." I cut in. "Cyrus..."
Emma cut me off this time. "Cyrus isn't the only one who said that. I've been told it by so many people. I mean... My mother left because of me."
"You don't know that."
"Why else would she leave me... leave me with... Him..."
I cut Emma off by pulling her into a hug, letting her cry into my shoulder. "She doesn't know what she's missing. I love you more than any thing Emma and I've made it my job to make you smile. "I let her go and wiped away her tears. "You know the only thing that could make you any more beautiful is if your eyes shone."
Emma looked at me confused and started to trace something under her jumper. No doubt the scars hidden underneath.
I pulled her hand away and entwined my finger into her delicate ones.
"In all the time I've know you. You've never had your eyes shine. They're alway... dull. As if you're trying to find yourself. I know who you are and I'm going to help you see it and when I do. I'm going to make your eyes shine brighter than the stars. I know this sound cheesy, but it's true."
Emma smiled at me at the Ferris wheel began to descend. She rested her head on my shoulder.
"Thank you Red." She whispered and we spent the rest of the ride in silence.

Emma: *looks at SMG* well since she forgot to end the chapter. Vote, comment and please Pyro of you're reading this (which I know you are) then stop calling yourself ugly, fat and all those other things. Like Keldeo said, if people tell you the same thing long and often enough you start to believe it. Take a stand and say no to the bully. Tell them to shut the hell up and leave you alone. And this goes to anyone being bullied.
Emma signing off.
