A/N: Sorry but this chapter is going to be short because it is just an introduction to the story.

Vergil smiled and finished his glass of nonalcoholic wine, he wasn't allowed to drink alcohol before work. Dr. Moore refilled his glass and said "Congrats, man. Being head doctor is a huge honor." There was a party to congratulate Vergil for his achievement. The head of the facility told Vergil that after his party, he gets to go the cells and pick out anyone he would like to experiment on. The young man smiled more and sipped his wine, he heard they got a young boy that would be perfect to experiment on.

Vergil quickly finished his glass and put on his coat, bidding his friends farewell then heading towards the basement, eager to start experimenting.

Nero sat in his cell and shivered, it was so cold and he was only wearing a t-shirt and shorts. He wiped away at his tears and whimpered. He wanted to go home, well... back to the orphanage, he didn't really have a home. His mother had died when he was 3, he never knew his father. His mother had told him he had left to take a job, a very good job. Then he would come back to them and they would be a family. Nero wished his father would come and save him.

"Daddy, save me." Nero whimpered as he heard the door to the basement open. He heard light, quick footsteps coming towards his cell. He ran to a corner and coward in fear as the cell door squeaked open. He didn't want to but looked up when the footsteps stopped right in front of him. He saw a man with white hair and blue eyes, just like him.

Vergil looked down at Nero with wide eyes, not sure if he was looking at his son or not. He needed to know, but... If he is his son then that should remain hidden. Vergil doesn't want his only child to know he is a doctor that does horrible experiments on people and almost experimented on him. He knelt down and said to the young boy "What's your name?" Nero didn't respond, he only whimpered and said "Please don't hurt me." Hearing him say that tugged at Vergil's heartstrings. He had to do something, he can't let something bad happen to this child.

Vergil quickly pulled a syringe from his coat pocket, causing Nero to scream and try to run away. Vergil grabbed his arm, dragging him back to him. He took the cap off the syringe and stuck the needle into Nero's shoulder and pushed down on the plunger. Nero let out an ear piercing scream and started crying as the fluid inside the syringe was quickly dispersed inside him. Once the syringe was empty, Vergil put it back in his coat pocket and held Nero close, he only gave him a sedative.

Nero clung to Vergil with tears streaming down his cheeks, he was trying to stay awake, fighting the sedative as best as he could. His eyes started to close, and when his eyes were open to slits Vergil kissed his forehead, causing Nero to fall asleep instantly. Vergil stroked the boys hair and said quietly "Why you?"
