"How long has it been?" _Chapter 1_
It's been about 8 years since Y/N moved out of town. She was liked by everyone she met, and had alot of friends there. Though there was always this one boy next door that she couldn't help, but keep her eye on. His name was Mihora Yota, but alot of people just call him Mimi. Mostly because he hated that nickname, and got really embarrassed when people called him that in public.
Y/N's mom became best friends with Mimi's mom when they were little. They would let the two kids play out in the yard while the two adults had a cup of tea and shared their gossip. Mimi was kind back then, but he could get a little hot headed at times. They hung out everyday;during school and after, even some kids were jealous of their relationship and how close they were. Though when Y/N reached the age of nine their mother told them that they were moving to the big city. Y/N whined saying she wanted to stay and wanted to grow up here with mimi and all her other friends. Though their mother wasn't swayed by her fits or her cries.
When Mimi found out about the move he was heartbroken, because for the first time he lost something that really mattered to him. When he saw the car take away his bestfriend he almost wanted to chase it down, or go with her even. Though his feet wouldn't move an inch from where he stood. It was like he was frozen in regret or sorrow. His mother placed a hand on his shoulder as if to comfort him. "It's for the best..." The soft voice of his mother said hoping that he would hug her for comfort. Though this time he just walked inside and held himself hostage in his own room....
~8 years later~
"Mom! Where is my bag? I can't seem to find it anywhere?" Y/N exclaimed in a moment of frustration. It was the first day of school, and the first day she would see everyone from her childhood all grown up. Y/N was about 17 now, and couldn't wait to see what this school year had in store for her. She remembered how many fond memories she had over this place, and it was like she just time traveled to her childhood. "It's in the living room! Maybe next time you should put it in a more obvious place, so you can easily find it next time." Her mom spoke in a sarcastic manner. Y/N rushed down stairs in her F/O with a big smile on her face. "Oh come on mom! Aren't you excited to be back here too? It's been 8 years I mean really?" Y/N grabbed her bag, and waited for an answer though she knew she wouldn't get one from her mom, today at least.
The girl sighed as she grabbed her breakfast, and started to eat. Y/N's mom was washing the dishes from last night's burrito mash up with tacos. Y/N didn't really know how she felt about Mexican food, because she either didn't like it or she did. Though she did have a "fun time" unpacking her stuff, and that little event was a good break from it. She finished her breakfast and kissed her mom's forehead "Don't forget me ok? I'm only going to be gone for 6 hours." Y/N said with a soft chuckle. The mom just softly smiled and messed up her hair "Just get out of here kiddo. I'll be hosting a wonderful surprise for when you get back~." The girl nodded, and walked to the front door before walking out of it.
She felt strange when she walked past the neighbor's house. It was as if Y/N was waiting for something or....someone to come out? Though, she just shrugged off the feeling ,and continued to walk forward. Y/N's excitement was stirring within her gut to where she thought she would puke. So many emotions and feelings mixing together just at the thought of being back here. Y/N couldn't tell if she was excited or nervous, but the thought went away when she walked up to her new school, Pagani High. Pagani, was a prestigious school full of brainiacs, and washed up has beens. Y/N couldn't tell which group she fell towards, since she was conflicted on who she was at the moment.
Y/N took out her schedule as she looked at it to find out where her homeroom was. She wasn't even paying attention to where she was walking before she pulled up, and walked into a brown haired boy. "Stupid idiot! Watch where you're going!" That brown haired boy didn't spend a second longer standing there as he bumped shoulders with Y/N,and walked right past her. Y/N couldn't help, but feel enraged by that cocky boy's attitude. Though she only turned around to see no one there to yell at. So Y/N just face palmed ,and decided to just head to her class and forget about him. It wasn't like he was going to be a big part of her highschool life anyway.
Y/N made it to her first class, as she had to ask 2 teachers to direct her here along the way. The girl looked around ,and found a seat in the middle of the room that seemed to be the perfect spot. It was neither in the back or in the front, plus she had a eye on everyone around her. The bell rang as this signaled that class was going to start, but instead of the teacher being the last one in.....It was that arrogant brown haired jerk. He made his way over and sat down next to Y/N, though it was clear he forgot about the whole situation in the hallway. Y/N couldn't stop glaring at him, and the thought of having to sit next to him the entire year made it even worse. How could this fate bring her such a undesirable end?
He took a small glimpse at the girl and rolled his eyes before leaning close and whispering a few words. "It's not nice to stare. Didn't your mom teach you any manners?" He asked with a little annoyance in his voice. Y/N quickly looked away mostly, because she was trying to hide the embarrassed blush across her face. "Get a life you creep!" She whispered back loudly at him. The boy just shook his head and laid his head down on his desk trying to rest his eyes. Y/N looked at the front of the class, and just tried to ignore the uneasy feeling this ass was giving her.
She had gone through the rest of her classes until lunch came up. Luckily she didn't have that boy for anymore classes than that one. Y/N got in line with a tray in her hands as she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and saw that ass again, and this time she just decided to give him the silent treatment. He didn't deserve to get such a strong reaction out of her. "Hey stupid! I'm trying to talk to you here!" He grumbled when he noticed she was ignoring him. "Fine it's not like I wanted your attention anyway." He quickly left the line once he got all the food he wanted, and sat at a table full of other guys.
Y/N finished getting everything she wanted and looked around the room. She couldn't think of where to sit or what type of people would want her to sit with them. Soon enough she just ended up sitting by herself all alone at a round table in the back. This was kinda a good thing anyway since she needed time to think about how this day was going. She was slowly eating, but somehow her eyes settled on the boy from before. Maybe she was being a little rude earlier when he wanted to talk. Who knows? Maybe he wanted to apologize for what happened earlier in the hallway and class.
The boy looked around before his eyes laid on the new girl who happened to be staring at him. A soft blush came upon his face, but this brought an angered look with it. "...Stupid girl has a hard time learning not to stare..." he mumbled to himself. Lunch had ended a few minutes later, and it was the last class of the day. Y/N was heading to science when she felt her heart drop seeing that boy sitting in the back just sleeping away the hour. She couldn't tell if she wanted to apologize for the way she acted before or just wanted to punch him in the face. Y/N just tried sitting in the farthest seat away from him, so this class wouldn't add anymore drama as there already was.
It wasn't until the bell for class rang that the boy woke up from his slumber. Luckily Y/N was good at avoiding things, because she bursted out of that room right as the bell rang. She was almost relieved that he didn't notice her, and that she was walking home in one piece. Y/N opened the door to her house, and saw her mom setting up the dining table all fancy like. "So this is the surprise you were talking about before?" Y/N asked in a curious manner. Y/N's mom just sweetly smiled "This isn't it~ I also invited Your old friend Mimi and his mom to join us this evening!" She exclaimed. Y/N's heart fluttered when she heard that she was going to see her childhood from once again.
"How long has it been? I wonder if he grew up into that nerd form he always wanted to be as a kid" Y/N giggled at the thought of the little boy in glasses. As she said that the doorbell rang and the mom immediately spoke "That must be them! Hurry up and answer it!" Y/N didn't waste anytime as she rushed to the door opening it quickly "Mim-" Y/N stopped quickly in her sentence as that arrogant boy from school was standing on her porch looking as shocked as she was. They were both blushing before Mihora spoke a few seconds later.
"Y-Your Y/N.....?"
