Post 2 of 2: What's slowing you down or stopping you from making your writing dream come true?

Making story decisions: If you're stuck choosing between two incompatible ideas for your story, I recommend writing them both out and saving them somewhere so you get to keep both. As for choosing which one fits your story best, it really helps to know what your heart and gut feel, which you may be able to learn by letting your mind wander freely. It can also help to share both versions with trusted readers – their feedback may resonate with you or make you realize you disagree. Either way, you'll know what you want to do!

Motivation: I think addressing the challenge of time and ideas (as explored in yesterday's post) will give you motivation, but it also really helps to connect with fellow writers. The Writing Champions Group constantly shares quotes, tips and anecdotes from fellow writers to help inspire you, motivate you and connect you with others who understand what being a writer is like. I also hope that this takeover helps you find and feel your motivation to keep writing!

Believing: Maybe you haven't been writing because you don't believe your writing dream will come true.  I really, really believe that a key characteristic of all writers who are achieving their dream is this: persistence. That's why motivation, and having ideas, and making time to write about them is so important. But first you've got to believe in your writing dream and, especially, in you.
