The great river

Pov narrator

Fellowship extends to a giant branch of the Anduin under clean cliffs.  Uruk sharks march through the forest while the three boats carry Fellowship float with them.  Silveria hears them and looks at the banks of the river.

Darkness falls on.  Fellowship rests on a small island.  Boromir looks out from behind a large stone wall on a log that floats in the river.  Small hands grip it, and the top of a head is barely visible over the edge of the timber, where the eyes glisten softly.  "Gollum. He's been following us since Moria,"  says Silveria as she reaches Boromir.  "I had hoped we would lose him on the river. But he's too good a waterman."  she continues.  Aragorn then comes over to them.  "And if he warns the enemy where we are, it will make the crossing even more dangerous,"  says Boromir.  Frodo hears them.  He looks worried.  "Get some food, Mr. Frodo,"  says Sam.  "No, Sam."  Frodo answers.  Sam looks up and turns to Frodo.  "You have not eaten anything all day. You do not sleep either. Do not think that I have not noticed it. Mister Frodo ..." he continues.  "I'm ok,"  says Frodo without turning to look at his friend.  Silveria has appeared next to them and says no.  "But you are not!"  she hissed, her voice locked with worry.  Frodo looks up at her with his blue eyes glistening.  she smiles gently.  "I'm here to help you. I promised Gandalf I would,"  says Sam and makes Frodo turn to him.  "You can not help me, Sam ... Not this time ... Sleep a little."  Sam and Silveria leave him alone.

"Minas Tirith is the safer way. You know that. From there, we can regroup ... strike out for Mordor from a place of strength."  says Boromir, trying to get Aragorn to get them to Gondor.  "There is no force in Gondor that can help us,"  Aragorn says back.  they do not know about the lady who is listening to their conversation.  "You were quick enough to trust the elves. Do you have so little faith in your people?"  Silveria looks up at the suffering from her resting place and hears Boromir's words.  "Yes, it is weakness. It is frailty. But it is also courage and honor to be found in men. But you will not see that."  she sees Aragorn turn away, but Boromir grabs his arm and turns him over.

"You're scared! All your life, you've been hiding in the shadows!"  Boromir spits and makes Silveria squint.  "Ride for who you are, for what you are."  he continues.  Boromir releases Aragorn, who turns away.  then he suddenly turns back.  "I will not lead the ring or Silveria within a hundred leagues from your city!"  his words make Silveria widen her eyes. What does she have like the men of Gondor what or the lord of darkness? She's just a dragon. She looks up as Boromir returns to her sleeping place. Her eyes find him and see sadness. He shakes his head and turns to sleep. She sighs and knows she is not getting anything from Strider.

Fellowships boats pass through a canyon.  Boromir looks at Frodo's ship across the water.  The wretches appear, running in search of the community.  Aragorn lifts his head, half-smiles, and knocks Frodo on the shoulder.  "Frodo, the Argonate! For a long time, I wanted to look at the kings in the old days. My relatives."  he says, and The Fellowship looks up in awe at the towering splendor of Argonath.  Silveria smiles.  Two majestic statues stand proudly on either side of the Anduin.  The left arms are held up, the palms pointing outwards as a warning gesture.  Voices sing in the light.

"Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien. Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar tenn' Ambar-metta!'" (Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come. In this place I will abide, and my heirs, unto the ending of the world!)
