Chapter eight
We walk up to the guys as we get out the car. I made Kevin promise not to tell them them about my bruises on my neck. He reluctantly agreed.
"Y'all cute." Blake says smirking when we was in earshot. I roll my eyes.
"Did y'all ride here together?" Xavier ask with amused eyes. I give him a hard look.
"Yes, and," Kevin answers. You can tell he was done with these conversation. And so am I.
"I'm going to class." I say walking away.
"Me too."
"Awe he's walking her to class! Bet she gives him a kiss on the cheek!" David says making kissy noises. The others join in. I walk away faster as I hear there laughter. They are sooo dead.
I walk into my Spanish class and sit at my desk. I stare out the window thinking about nothing, just waiting for this witch to walk in to just kick me out. I really dislike her. Me too.
I didn't notice everyone was here until my name was called. "Kindness." I raise my head and keep my gaze out the window. She went on to talk the other names. This made me look at her. She didn't yell at you. I noticed. I watch her as she finish with role call and start the listen.
She goes on and on about imperfect future tense verbs and there conjunctions. Once she finished, she ask people to read a sentence from the story was reading, which was in Spanish. After five students my name was pulled out the hat. Welp, your time here is up.
"Kindness can you read the next sentence." She isn't glaring at me.
"Pass." The only reason you said that was to get her mad. Yep.
"Ok, we then... Sara can you." I look at her shockingly. She didn't... she didn't.
After the reading was done, she gave us page numbers to do in the text book and everyone got to work.
I keep getting the feeling someone was staring at me. I glance up a little and see it was her, Ms. Owens. It looks like she was examining me. I felt her eyes zero on the long scare on my face to the faint bruises on my face. What is wrong with her?
When I got up to turn in my paper, I noticed how she stared at my hunched shoulders, which was that way because of the pain on my abdomen. I tried to straighten up, but that just caused me to wince. She noticed. I quickly hand over my work and speed off of my desk.
I felt sweet drip down my back from the nerves. What is going on? I lay my head on the table and my arm instinctively wrap around my stomach as pain shoots threw my abdomen. Crap, she most likely caught that. I don't need to look at her to know.
When the bell ringed I dashed out that class to my next. As I sat down , I made eye contact with the teacher and I new for certain that he'll be watching my every move too.
Every breath I took he noticed. Every little movement I make he noticed. He even told us that next class he'll have a new sitting chart, and I bet my new seat will be the closes to his disk.
I tried my best to not seem injured, but it was kinda hard with a stab wound that wasn't completely healed yet. I mean its only been a few days! This is really stressing me out and I have enough stress in my life. The class had already ended and I was sitting in the cafeteria eating a baked potato.
As I ate I thought about the teachers. No doubt all of them we'll be watching me for god knows how long. Probably until you graduate. No, I have to- then it clicked. Principal Gates said he'll be keeping an eye on me. This must be his way of doing that. Smart.
"Earth to Kindness!" Blake says as he waves his hand in my face.
"Stop before you loose a limb." I say and he stops.
"And the threats are back." David says.
"They never left." I start to stand up.
"Where're you going?" Xavier ask.
"To Principle Gates office." I have some words for him.
