After a few weeks as new genin we did stupid D rank missions. We were on a mission to retrieve a lost cat. We got the cat and Naruto was having trouble holding it.

"Stupid cat!" He said.

"Cats aren't stupid," I said landing next to him.

"This cat is evil he keeps scratching me," he complained.

"Here give him to me I bet you he'll love me," I said holding out my arms.

"Ha your on this cat won't love anyone especially someone who's anti social." He remarked.

He handed me that cat. When he gave me the cat, it looked at me then started to purr; everyone was silent. Naruto was staring at me in disbelief.

"Did I forget to mention that I'm very good with animals? Animals love me because I can speak to them." I said.

"Ehhhh?" Was all that they could say.

"It's one of my clans' specialties."

"Well how would we know? We've known you since you started going to the academy and we know nothing about you. All we know is that you like scaring people and you hate this village." Sakura said as we're heading to the Hokages office.

"Well I don't really trust you that much since I don't trust people."

Everyone went silent and I was still petting the kitty and it was still purring. I was smiling while I was petting the kitty cat and everyone was staring at me since I don't smile.

"What? Animals make me feel happy." I said.

They looked away. We reached the Hokage's office. I gave the cat to its owner, when I gave the cat to her my smile faded and my face was back to its emotionless look. It pained me when I heard the cat pleading us not to be taken back to that woman but a mission is a mission. Then Naruto was complaining about the mission then someone was explaining the whole mission ranked thing. After that I took a vacation to la la land.

During the yelling between everyone, everyone's attention was drawn to the door when some drunk came in the room.

"What's this? They are all a bunch of super brats. Especially the shortest one with the super stupid looking face. Are you really a ninja?"

"Ooooo burn." I thought with a smirk.

"Who's the shortest one with the stupid face?" Naruto dumbly asked looking at us.

We all lined up with Sasuke being the tallest followed by me then Sakura and lastly Naruto.

"I'll kill you!!" Naruto shouted trying to run at him.

"What's the point of killing the person we're supposed to protect? Idiot." Kakashi sighed while holding the back of his jumpsuit.

"And you, the Emo girl. You look like you're ready to die; how do you expect me to feel safe while one of my body guards looks like she wants to die. Why do you have your eye covered anyway?" He said pointing at me and everyone laughing.

"I don't judge how you dress so I'd shut it if I were you. I dress like this because I want to and it's none of your business." I said calmly with my eyes closed.

Everyone in the room chuckled at my remark.

"Humph well I am the super expert bridge builder Tazuna. I expect you to provide me super protection until I get back to my country and complete the bridge.

We were given some time to pack so I walked back home and packed everything. I packed dark colored clothes so that I could blend in with nature. In my ninja pouch I put a lot of kunai and shuriken in it. Also with smoke bombs scrolls, paper bombs and poison needles. I got some food pills and herbs to fit in there too. I had a lot of weapons still so luckily all of my shirts had pockets inside them so I put them there. I also put some makibishi, windmill shuriken, Senbon, and to top it off I go a sword and attached the sheath to my back with the sword in it under my shirt. You can't even see it.

"I think I over did it, it's only a C rank mission," I said to myself, "But you can never be too careful."

I walked towards the gates of the village to see Kakashi-sensei and Sasuke waiting with the bridge builder.

"That's all you brought?" Kakashi asked.

"Uh yeah since it's only a C ranked mission." I lied.

Since I had a lot of weapons and stuff everything would be heavy but I was also wearing training weights which made walking even worse. I was use to it but still if someone else were to wear everything that I was wearing then they wouldn't be able to move. When Naruto and Sakura finally came we left, Naruto was excited since this was the first time leaving the village. I was behind everybody looking out for any suspicious people while the others besides Sensei were oblivious to their surroundings.  

We walked a half a mile from the village and in the distance was my clan's compound. We had to go through it to get to the land of waves. We were nearing the village and Kakashi- sensei kept glancing at me.

"Sensei what's that up ahead?" Sakura asked.

"That's a clan compound; we have to pass through it to continue."

"It looks abandoned."

"It is; they all died seven years ago." Kakashi said looking at me.

We got closer and the gates were closed. We needed the barrier to be down in order to get in and only a Kira and high ranked shinobi can do it. Luckily since I'm the heir and prodigy to the clan I knew the correct hand signs. We stopped in front of the gate and Naruto ran right into the barrier.

"Ow, what was that?" He whined as he rubbed his head.

"It's some kind of barrier. Sensei how do we pass through? Sakura asked.

"Mariah, can you take down the barrier?" Kakashi questioned looking over at me.

"Yeah sure whatever." I replied doing the correct hand signs then putting my hand on the barrier.

The barrier went down and the gates started to open. When the gates opened everyone gasped at the sight. Every building was burnt down and chalk lines of bodies were everywhere along with blood stains all along the path. There was only one building standing and that was my mansion where the clan leader and his family lived.

"What happened here?" Sasuke questioned with sadness in her voice as she looked around.

"The clan was attacked by rouge ninja. The ninja caught everyone off guard and burnt the buildings to the ground. Everybody was killed here." Kakashi told them.

As I looked around all I saw was fire enflaming the buildings, people on fire running out of their homes to the street, people fighting, and the enemy slashing through everyone that got in their way. Hearing screams and twisted evil laughter. Feeling the pain, confusion, and fear. I started to get a headache so I put my hand on my head supporting it. I wanted to get rid of these memories.

"Why were they attacked?" Naruto asked as he caught up with Sensei.

"Because these ninja were after the next heir to the clan leader's position who was also the clan's prodigy and strongest." I said.

"Did the child escape?" Sakura questioned.

We passed my old home and I looked at it remembering the good times I've had there before the massacre. I looked away and lead the team to the exit since Kakashi-sensei didn't know his way around the compound. I couldn't help but go down memory lane while passing everything that I use to call home. The fun I had, the training, all the people, and my parents.

"No, she was killed." I responded.

Kakashi looked at me with a questioning look but didn't say anything. When we finally exited the compound I closed the gates and did hand signs to put the barrier back up. We continued our journey towards the wave country.

"Why would someone kill a whole clan just for the clan leader's child?" Sakura asked.

"Oh my god can they stop asking so many questions? Maybe they should do their research on it and find out all of the answers. Sensei doesn't know everything you know." I thought out loud.

The only person who heard me was Sasuke. He smirked but then turned his attention to Sensei.

"They wanted the child for themselves since she was very powerful. She already had her Kekkei genkai at age 5 and was very strong. Everybody wanted her so they decided to kidnap her and use her for their own personal use."

"This team is going to be the death of me, how come I got put on this team? Why me? Like seriously!" I thought. "They never stop asking questions."

Finally everybody stopped asking questions about my clan and kept walking. I was taking in my surroundings until I saw a puddle.

"They're ninja in that puddle," I thought.

Then as I expected the ninja came out. They attacked Kakashi-sensei with chains and ripped him apart but I could see that it was a log. I sprang into action and took out my weapons. I threw some shuriken at them but they dodge it. With my speed I got behind one of them and kicked him in the stomach. He flew back and went through a few trees. One tried to slash me with his claw but he only hit a clone.

They were going after Naruto but Sasuke stopped them and I grabbed more shuriken and threw it at the ninja. I bound him to a tree while Sasuke did the same to the other. Just when they were about to hit Naruto, Kakashi-sensei stopped them and held them in a headlock.

"Show off," I thought.

"Naruto, sorry for not helping you right away; I got you injured. I didn't think you'd freeze up like that. Any way nice job Sasuke, Mariah; you too Sakura." Kakashi said to us.

"Hey, you alright....scaredy cat?" Sasuke said to Naruto.

When he said that I smirked when I saw how worked up Naruto was getting. Naruto was about to scream back at him but was silenced by Kakashi.

"Naruto, save it for later. Their claws are soaked in poison. We have to remove it quickly.  We must open up the wound and release the poisoned blood from your body. Don't move much, or the poison will spread through your body, Tazuna-san." Kakashi said.

"What is it?"

"I need to talk to you. These guys are Chuunin class ninja from the hidden village of the mist. They are ninjas known to keep fighting no matter what."

"How did you read our movements?" One of the brothers asked.

"On a sunny day like this when it hasn't rained in days. A puddle shouldn't exist. Even a genin like Mariah noticed it." Sensei concluded.

"Why did you let the brats fight when you knew that?" Tazuna asked.

"If I had wanted to I could have killed these two instantly but...There was something I needed to find out...who the target for these two were after."

"What do you mean?"

"Meaning were they after you or one of us. We haven't heard that there are shinobi after you. Our mission was to simply protect you from thieves or gangs. This has now become at least a B-rank mission. This was suppose to be simple protection until you completed the bridge. If it was known that ninja were after you this mission would have been an expensive B-rank. I'm sure you have a reason but it causes problems when you lie about the mission details. We are now operating outside of our duties."

"We aren't ready for this mission, let's quit! We will need medicine for Naruto's wound. We should go back to the village and take him to a doctor." Sakura said.

"This might be too much. I guess we should return to the village to treat Naruto." Kakashi-sensei thought out loud.

Then Naruto took out a kunai and stabbed where the cut was catching everyone's attention.

"With this kunai, I'll protect the old man. We're continuing the mission!" Naruto vowed.

"Humph and people thought I was Emo," I said quietly but everyone heard and took a quick glance at me.

"Naruto it was really cool and all how you took out the poison but anymore and you'll die from lack of blood." Kakashi-sensei said.

Naruto's face was so funny. He looked like he was going to piss himself. Then he started to freak out. I went over and gave Sensei so bandages and medicine to clean the wound.

"Let me see your hand." Kakashi-sensei ordered holding Naruto's hand.

"Naruto are you masochist? What are you thinking?!" Sakura scolded.

"Um hey am I going to be ok?" Naruto asked Kakashi sensei.

"You should be fine."

Then Tazuna explains the real mission and how there's a man named Gatou who wants him dead because he's building the bridge. Then we got onto a boat and went across the ocean.

"Wow!! It's huge!" Naruto shouted to the heavens.

"Hey, be quiet! Why do you think we are hiding in this mist and not using the engine? We'll be in deep trouble if Gatou finds us." The boat man said.

Naruto as usual was acting like an idiot Sasuke was just sitting there and Sakura was staring at Sasuke. She was also glaring at me because I was sitting next to him. Even though she knows that I don't like Sasuke like that she was jealous that I was sitting next to him.

We got off the boat and we were walking. (And were walking).  We started to walk in a forest and Naruto was throwing shuriken in the bushes until he almost hit a white bunny.

"Something is going to happen," I said.

"What do you mean?" Naruto asked.

"Any second now,"

Then *woosh* a huge ass sword just went right into a freaking tree with a dude on the handle.

"That was an awesome entrance; I should have an entrance like that." I said out loud by accident.

Everyone just looked at me for a second then back at the dude. I stared at him and he glanced at me.

"Zabuza Momochi," I said.

So there's the next chapter. Have you noticed that they ask a lot of questions and expect Kakashi to answer them? He doesn't know everything. So haha anyway just needed to point that out so comment, give some feedback, vote, tell people, fish, aliens, trees, windows, imaginary turtles that haunt you, imaginary friends about my  story :D

"How can you tell most of those things about your story?" Sasuke asked.

"Psh you can tell anything about my story," I replied.

"It doesnt mean that they'll listen,"

"Shut up, they'll listen about my story cus im cool like that."

"No actually your not cool," Mariah said.

"Shut up ms. Emo,"

"Hey you made me like that, so id shut it if i were you,"

"Don't make me get out my needle." I threatened.

*Shuts up and runs away*

"Muhahahaha," I laughed.

"That wasnt very nice," Sasuke said with a smirk.

"Who ever said that i was nice, muhahahahahaha!" I said walking away from Sasuke.
