Gabby's POV

I had to call the school to let them know why I wasn't in school on Monday. As I walked through the hallway, people were looking at me and whispered things. I kept my head down for most of the day. For the first time in a month Andy wasn't with me. He had to go see his mom who was sick. It wasn't the same. Now that people knew he wasn't around, they had the perfect opportunity. Alois, the school bully, ended up getting to me. His little girlfriend, Hannah(who was the the cheerleader captain), helped too. When I went to change out of my gym clothes she turned on the shower while I was changing. I ran out of there soaking wet. Everyone laughed. Alois, manged to trip me during lunch, making me spill all my food on me and in the hallway, he tripped me and my books went everywhere. People laughed and I tried to ignore it.

The last bell of school rang and I hurried out the front doors of the school. Before I could reach the steps, I was grabbed by the shoulders and shoved against one of the pillar corner. I groaned when the coner was slammed into my back.

"So, Emo-crap. Where's Andrew to protect you?" he said pushing me harder against the pillar.

"Oh no she's scared." His friend Claude said. "Look she's going to cry."

"Where did you get the bruises? Andy give them to you?" he asked looking at my arm. "I heard that he was really abusive at his old school."

I looked at Alois with disbelief. He laughed, then let go I've me. Then out of nowhere, he punched me in the gut. He ended up hitting me right where I was hit with the lead pipe. I bit my lip so I didn't cry. Then I ended up getting kicked in the back. They all laughed.

"Hey!" Someone yelled. I heard feet shuffle away.

"Gabby?! Are you okay?" Shizuka asked as I slowly sat up.

"Yah. I'm fine." I said struggling to stand up.

"Let me help you." Shizuka said grabbing my arm.

"No! I can do it." I said, standing.

"Okay. Can I at least carry your backpack?"

"Sure." I said handing her my backpack. "Don't tell Andy about this. Please. I dont want him to worry and try to go after them. You know how he is."

"Okay. You want me to come over?"

"If you want. I mean don't you have plans with Richard?"

"Yah. That's later tonight though."

"Okay."

Shizuka ended up going home around four. I sat in the living room with an ice pack on my stomach and back. My dad came home late that night.

"Hey Dad." I said.

"Hey kido."

"How was your day?"

"Okay. I guess." I said putting a piece of Pocky in my mouth. "How was yours?"

"Long. I had two meetings today." he said

"Oh. That sucks. Boring as usual?" I asked as he sat down next to me.

"Yup. I'm going on a business trip again next week." he sighed.

"Can I go over Andy's or Shizuka's when your gone?"

"Sure. I don't care. Just behave."

"Never." I said laughing. It hurt but honestly I could deal with it.

"I'm getting changed." he said standing up.

"Ok. I'm going to bed anyway."

"Okay. Night."

"Night."

I walked upstairs to my room, got changed, and climbed into bed. I knew I had more bruises on my back because of Alois. Sighing I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
