Chapter 6
Gabby's POV
As I sat there, I could only wish of being held my my mother. More years slide down my face, as more memories flooded back into my mind. As I cried harder than before, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me and a head rested on top of mine.
Andy's POV
Gabby hadn't answered about my phone calls or text messages. I started to worry she didn't make it home safe. I texted Shizuka asking where Gabby lived. When I got to her house, I knocked on the door and waited. When it opened a man was there and I assumed it was Gabby's father.
"Good afternoon. Can I help you?" he asked.
"Afternoon. My name is Andy. Is Gabby home?" I asked politely.
"Nice to meet you, Andy. Yes she is. She's upstairs in her room."
"Thank you," I said.
I walked upstairs and into her room. When I opened her door, I saw her curled up on her bed. I "ran" over to her and pulled her into me. I gently put my head on her head. Her sniffling stopped and I felt her head lift up.
"A-Andy?" she said.
"Yeah." I said hugging her tighter. She hugged me and put her head on my chest.
"Are you okay?"
"Yah. I was just thinking about my mom." she said wipping her tears away.
"Do you mind me asking what happened to her?"
"She was murdered." she said quietly.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay." she said. "What are you doing here?"
"I was worried because you weren't answering my calls or texts."
"Oh. Sorry."
"It's fine. You're my friend, so I worry." I said.
"Thank you." she mumbled.
"For what?"
"For being my friend." she smiled. I smiled and hugged her.
Gabby's POV
I've been hanging out with Andy lately and its fun. After school he sometimes comes to my house and studies with me. Andy and I have the same lunch period so sometimes we have lunch on the roof of the school or in the lunch room.
3 months passed and Andy and I were always togetger. He acted like a protective big brother. Anyone who said something mean or picked on me would be against the wall with Andy in there face. He'd give them a warning about the next time they said anything. If I was feeling sad or depressed he would find away to cheer me up. If it was giving me ramen or trying to make cookies(without burning the house down). Having him around was one of the greatest feelings ever. I still haven't told him about what I've been hiding from everyone and I don't know if I'll ever have the guts to tell.
"Hey Gabby," he said one night while studying with me.
"Yah?" I said looking up from my notes.
"I need to talk to you." he said.
"Okay. Is something wrong?" I asked sitting up in my bed.
"No. I just need to talk to you."
"Okay. Talk then."
"We've been friends for almost four months now."
"Yah."
"I want to take this friendship to another level." he said.
"Okay..."
"Gabby, I like you. A lot. I want to have a long happy relationship with you."
"You...you do?" I said a little shocked.
"Yes I do." he said looking me in the eyes. I could see in his eyes he meant what he was saying.
"A-are you asking me to...go out with you?" I stuttered.
He just gave me a slight nod. I smiled.
"Yes. I'll go out with you." he gave me a kiss on the cheek and we went back to studying. It was a great day.
