Chapter 17

Gabby's POV

I sent a cold glare at Parker as my dad talked with his boss, who I just found out is going on the trip with my dad. That means that I'm stuck with Parker for the next THREE weeks. Parker saw my glare and looked down. He needed to know how pissed off I am still. Mr. Fellows, Parker's father, showed me my room. He simply explained everything for the next three weeks and left me to my thoughts. I sat down on the window sill and put my earbuds in. I didn't want to be near anyone at the moment. I didn't want to talk or even look at anyone. I was so fed up with everything. Yes, I could just leave but I'd rather not have my father blow up on me about something like this. I tried it once, and the end result wasn't pretty. My dad may have come and said good bye at some point but I ignored everything. After about an hour, I turned off my music and looked through my bags. Trying to find my phone charger, Parker walked in.

"Leave me alone," I said not looking up.

"I wanted to say that I'm sorry."

"Well apology not accepted," I said.

"Why?" he asked.

"Because what you did was unforgivable. If you thought for one minute that I would forgive you and forget about it, oh were you wrong. I've never forgotten. I will never forgive you. Ever." I spat finally turning to him.

"Yes I did think that for one minute, but I also thought that we could be together," he said.

"Parker. You're wrong to think so. One: I would and never will date you. Two: You were my best friend. Three: I'm taken and will be that way for years to come."

"Ouch. That hurts," he smirked.

I glared and threw water bottle that I had at him. He ducked, then walked out. I groaned, flopped on the bed and ran my hands over my face. It was going to be a very long three weeks.

Andy's POV

"Dude. I'm so freaking bored," I said to my best friend, Gerard.

"It's been boring without you here. You need to come visit," he said.

"I will. I'll bring Gabby with me," Gerard and I were skyping for the first time in a month.

"You've got some girl there," he winked.

"She's pretty great. Best girl around," I smiled at my own words.

"You're becoming soft. You used to be this tough guy who, would pin any kid against the wall if they made any kind of rude comment to any of us at school," Gerard said referring to our group of friends.

"I'm not soft. I'll still kick ass."

"I bet."

A knock at the door on the other side of the chat made Gerard turn around. On the screen showed our best friend Frank.

"Hey man! Long time," he said all excited.

"Hey! How's things?" I asked.

"Same old, same old. Well one thing changed but it's a good change."

"Well that's good." my phone went off and I saw a message from my step dad. "Guys, I need to let you go. Ill talk to ya later."

"K man. See yah," Gerard said.

SD- sorry to bother you Andrew but mom would like to know if you could come visit.

Me- yeah ill come.

SD- your mother and I want to meet your girl too

Me- she's not home right now. I can call her to see if she wants to come later.

SD- okay. Sounds like a plan. See you when you get here.

Me- okay.

I quickly dialed Gabby's number. It rang and I waited. My dog Daredevil whined and barked. It continued to ring so I let Daredevil outside. Her voicemail picked up and I hung up. Trying to call her again she finally picked up.

"Hey And!" Gabby said excitedly. I smiled at the sound.

"Hey you. How's things going?"

"Could be better. I'm stuck with Parker for three weeks. I'm so tired and I want to go home," she said.

"Well luckily for you, you get to leave for a day or two."

"Really?!" her voice perked up.

"Yup. I'm taking you to meet my mom," I said.

"Yeah! I'm so excited! I've been dying to meet her."

"I know. My mom wanted me to visit and said that she wanted to meet you."

"Andy! I'm so happy for two reasons. Babe. This is awsome!" she practically shrieked.

I smiled. "Yes it is. Text me the adress and I'll be over in about fifteen minutes."

"Okay. I'll see you then," she said.

"Bye."

I hung up and grabbed a backpack. Stuffing random jeans and t-shirts in my bag, I ran down the stairs to the kitchen, grabbed my keys and the bottle of wine I got for my mother because her birthday is next week, and ran out to my car. Driving to Gabby's house, I fed the cat and dog for her. As I placed the food down, my phone chimed. It was Gabby. The text said the address. I drove to the house and as I pulled into the driveway, I saw Gabby standing on the front porch with a bag. She ran to my car and hopped into the front seat.

"I'm so excited that's can't sit still," she smiled widely. I had told her so much about my mom and we've been together for a few months now and she's been dying to meet her.

"I know, Babe. I know," I smiled at her.

Lacing our fingers together while I drove, she put in her favorite playlist and started to sing. She had an amazing voice. Death of a Bachelor by Panic! At the Disco came on and she decided to dramatically lip sing this one. It was comical to watch. The car ride had to be at least an hour long and I was getting hungry. I hit the pause button and Gabby looked at me, pouting.

"Hey," she said.

"Hey what? I wanted to know if you wanted to stop and get some food."

"Um yes! Do you ever have to ask me that? You know how much I love food."

"That's true. Dutches?" I asked.

"Hell yes!" she said. I smiled.

I got off the highway and went to the drive through. Ordering our food, Gabby's phone rang. She answered it but then her voice went cold. My guess it was Parker. The lady handed the bags of food to me. Thanking her, I quickly looked at Gabby before pulling on to the road. She was upset and something was pissing her off. When she hung up, she let out a long sigh. I put my hand on her knee a gently rubbed my thumb on it. She looked at me, smiled and took her bag of food.

We pulled into my mother's driveway and I saw my step-dad standing on the front porch with my mother. She had the biggest smile on her face. Gabby smiled widely too. Her eyes lit up with joy. When I parked and Gabby had opened the door, my mother had already pulled Gabby into a hug. My step-dad shook her hand. He was a formal man but had his moments of being fun.

"Mom, this is Gabby," I stated. "Gabby, my mother."

"Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too. You're just as beautiful as Andy described you as," my mom said smiling. Gabby blushed.

"How about we get you all settle and we can have dinner later?" my step dad said.

"Sound like a plan," my mom said.

Gabby and I carried out bags inside and we were showed to our room. It happened to be my room. Some of my old posters were up on the wall. The navy blue and one grey wall brought back memories. Gerard and I would think of crazy ideas here. We thought up a good band name and of we were even going to have one. All that happend in our middle school years. Gabby threw a pillow at me to snap me out of my thoughts. Pulling her close to me, I kissed her head. I ran my hand through her hair.

"I love when your hair is kind of curly," I said playing with it.

"Really?" she asked with a slight blush.

"Really," I smiled.

"Okay," she said simply.

"My mom is making Zupa for dinner."

"Zupa? Like the Olive Garden soup?"

"Yup. Her homemade is really good."

"I bet. I'm excited for dinner then," she smiled and flopped on my bed.

I laid next to her as I turned on the TV. The sound of pots and pans from the kitchen made Gabby jump. Only my mother would make that much noise while cooking. Gabby took the remote from me, and put on Disney channel. Apparently they were having a Disney movie marathon. Tarzan had just finished and the next movie up was The Sword in the Stone. Gabby got really excited and giggled. She loved that movie. I believe it was her favorite Disney movie. I think. She's got way too many.

"Do you want anything?" I ask.

"Can you hand me my soda please?" she asked.

"Yup," I handed her her cup.

She was sitting up and she leaned against me. My arm wrapped around her waist and again pots and pans were banging.

After about an hour, when the movie was over, my mom came upstairs. She told us dinner was ready and we could come down at any point to get some. We thanked her and Gabby started to get up. I held her back.

"Babe," she wined. "I want food."

"I was comfortable with you laying next to me though," I mumbled.

"Urgh. When we finish eating we can snuggle. I promise."

"Okay," I playfully pouted. She smiled and climbed off the bed. I followed her down. As I grabbed two bowls, my mom walked in.

"Steve and I are going out to get some groceries. We'll be back in a bit," she said.

"Okay mom."

"Thank you for dinner Ms. Dromaine," Gabby smiled.

"You're so very welcome. Please call me Martha."

"Okay," Gabby smiled.

I handed her a bowl and gave my mom a quick hug before she left. Gabby and I went back upstairs to my room to eat. Peter Pan had already began to play. Gabby pulled a blanket to her and quietly took a bite of Zupa.

*Time skip*

Around 10:15, Gabby had practically fallen asleep. She was half asleep on me. Not wanting to disturb her partial slumber, I turned off the lamp that was on the side of the bed. Her breathing changed and I assumed she was asleep. I tucked some of her black hair behind her ear and she moved closer to me. I kissed her hair lightly and let sleep take over.
