"...Adrien..."

He was afraid to turn around. He had enough of illusions. He was certain that if he turned around, she would still be... Gone.

" A-are you here? I-is anyone here?" A very weak voice asked.

Adrien was still hesitant to turn around, but heck it,if he could turn around during all of his other hallucinations, nothing new will happen now. Just as before, the moment he closes his eyes, she will be dead again. He came closer to Marinette, and looked at her face.

Her eyes were half-opened, and glossy from the tears.

" I'm so glad to see you again,Chaton."
"Wait, how do you know?" Adrien was getting happier by the moment. His hallucinations never spoke to him like that. They would just say his name and die again.

"I heard you call off your transformation. I don't know how I haven't noticed your similarities before." She chuckled.

" Yeah, the same goes for me." He smiled.

They leaned their foreheads against each other,and now he was certain. She was warm, and he could hear her heartbeat. He was so happy he couldn't speak words, that's why Marinette spoke for him.

" You thought I was dead, didn't you?"
" Yes."
" And everyone else thinks I'm dead too, don't they?"
" Uh-huh."
" And you missed me, didn't you?"
" More then anyone I have ever missed."
" Even your mother?"
" Even my mother."
" Oh, my sweet little kitty, I'm here now." She ran her fingers through his hair as he hugged her.

But, she widened her eyes as Adrien hugged her tight, pressing their chests and abdomens together. She felt a sharp pain in her stomach and started coughing out blood.

Flashback to the battle

" Chat Noir!"
" Ladybug! No!"

Ladybug felt the dart hit her, but she never felt pain. All that she could feel is her muscles relaxing. Suddenly, she heard Tikki in her head.

Marinette, we have to split now.
What??? Tikki, we can't-
You have a chance of beating that bastard this way. Now, release the transformation.
*sigh* alright. I'll do it.
And Marinette?
Yes?
Spotty Bane hit you right in the abdomen, which is not good for the baby. Right after you wake up, go to Master Fu, immediatley.
I understand.Watch after yourself, deal?
Deal.

And as Chat Noir watched helplessly,Marinette whispered:
" Tikki, spots off."

End of flashback

"Marinette?! Are you ok?" Adrien panicked while Marinette coughed violently. After she stopped coughing, she yelled:
" GET ME TO MASTER FU! NOW!"
" But who is he?"
"Your kwami knows!" Marinette was able to say before coughing up more blood.

Adrien didn't waste a second more. He picked up Mari bridal style, and ran to his car. On the way there he shortly stopped and turned around to face Tom, Sabine, Alya, and Nino.

" Adrien??? Where are you taking Marinette's body?"
" She is alive!"
" Adrien, is it happening again?"
" No, he isn't hallucinating. Mari really is alive!" Tom exclaimed and pointed at Marinette. She had her eyes opened and her skin colour was back to normal.

" MARINETTE!!!" Alya shouted and started running towards her, but Nino stopped her.

" WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS???" Alya growled at Nino, but he didn't even glance at her, and just said:
" Go. I'll call you later."

Adrien nodded and went out the door. Everyone stared at Nino, waiting for and explanation. He sighed, let go of Alya, and explained:
" Marinette had blood dripping from her mouth, so he is taking her to a doctor."

" Maybe she just cut her tounge or something..." Alya tried to reason, but Nino shook his head.

" If she did cut her tounge, then why would he carry her bridal style?"

And the room became silent after that.

With Adrienette

Marinette was battling sleep on the passenger seat, while Adrien searched franticly for some Camembert to give to Plagg.

" Adrien, we are never going to make it at this rate. *cough* Please, transform." Marinette begged.
" But, I don't know the way."
" I will guide you."

5 minutes later, at Master Fu's

Adrien knocked on the old door repeatedly. Soon, a short old chinese man answered the door.

"Adrien... Come in." The old man helped him with Marinette and then seated him.

" I will go check Marinette's health now, and I know your'e wondering how I know your name. Simple, I gave you your Miraculous." And with that, he left the completely baffled Adrien, alone in the living room.

Fifteen minutes passed and still, nothing. Adrien was getting worried. What if she... Died again?

After 20 minutes Master Fu joined Adrien in the living room, but still, no Marinette. This time, a turtle kwami was there as well.

" Adrien,meet Wayzz."
" Hi."
" Hello, Plagg's holder."
" Oh, just call me Adrien."

After the greetings, Master Fu suddenly turned serious:
" Adrien, you need to tell me what exactly happened to her. Don't leave out anything important."

Adrien nodded, took a deep breath, and started talking:

" We were at this party were we tried to do the usual, defeating the akuma, saving the day, you know."

But Master wasn't in the mood for Chat's charm.

" So, uhm... We thought Serpentina was just a akuma, but we were wrong. She had this weird kwami, well I wouldn't call it a kwami, that was bigger then Plagg, and it felt awful just being near him. The kwami's name is Spotty Bane."

Master Fu widened his eyes at the name, but signaled Adrien to continue.

" After some fighting, Serpentina got these freakish snake eyes and started transforming into a huge black snake. He also called himself Spotty Bane the Kwami Hunter." Adrien noticed that the master isn't looking at him, so he stopped talking.

" Please, describe the snake with a bit more detail." The master asked with his eyes closed.

" Well, the snake was about 20 meters long, with four huge white fangs and a pair of black wings. It also had this weird crest thing on top of its head."

Master Fu sighed, like he was relieved about something.

" And did it launch any kind of attack?"

At that question, Adrien looked down sadly, and quietly replied:

" Yes, he did. His plan was to get rid of Plagg, so he paralyzed me with gas and shot a poison dart my way. I was certain that it would kill me, but then Ladybug, no, Marinette jumped in front of me to take the hit. She got hit right in her stomach." Adrien tried to be as calm as possible, although he couldn't stop a few tears from falling.

" Oh no..."Master Fu paled and ran towards the room Marinette was in.

After a few minutes, he returned, again seeming relieved.
" Good. They are ok, for now."

Adrien looked at him, confused.
"They? And for now?"

Master Fu just looked at him with the Are you kidding me? face, and facepalmed.
" I have a lot to explain to you. So sit down and don't interrupt me."
"Ok."

" Here we go. For starters, lets solve the issue of Spotty Bane and your wife-"
" Um, she is not my wife."

This time he had a look of disbelief on his face.
" Honestly Adrien, I don't know what are you waiting for. And please don't interrupt me again."
" Sorry."

" Ok, so lets just start with Spotty Bane for now. Spotty Bane is an anti-kwami, and anti-kwami's were created to balance out the good and evil, because kwamis at the time were only good. However, the creator of anti-kwamis wasn't the brightest person, so he mostly put them in clothing or items that can't really take the test of time, and there was one more problem, Spotty Bane. You see, Spotty Bane is the strongest anti-kwami there is. He even has a diamond ring as a magical item. Unfortunetly, he became delusional, and thought that it was his right to do whatever he wished to the others, so,he ate them all. After he ran out of anti-kwamis, he turned to the next best thing, kwamis. He started hunting them for fun, power,and food. Untill Wayzz cursed him into going to sleep every 10-50 years. However, every thousand years or so there is a hole in the cycle. That hole allows him to disregard the cycle, like it never existed, for a period of 5 years maximum, and a chance of having his old power returned to him." Master Fu stopped, so Adrien could ask him some questions.

" So, I guess that hole in the cycle is happening right now?"
" Yes, that is correct."
" Did that enable him to turn into that snake thing?"
" Oh,that snake was actually a smaller transformation for Spotty Bane."
" What?"
" Yes. He was just playing with you, so took a hoast that has potential, but doesn't have the power to completely transform. That's why the girl is probably still alive."

Adrien couldn't believe his ears. He was playing with them? He took out Ladybug like she was a fly, how are they going to beat him?

" You were lucky, Adrien, that you didn't piss him off. He gets psychotic when he is mad. And you were lucky that he didn't make skin contact with you. Because if he got his little hands on you or Ladybug, you would fall under his control and eventually turn into..."

Master Fu got up, and went to the back of the room. He returned shortly, with an ancient scroll in his hands. He removed the thick layer of dust from it and cleared the coffee table. He unrolled the huge scroll, and this drawing was on it:

"... That."

" Oh, my...." Adrien could not believe that a small plushie-like creature can turn him into that.

" Don't worry Adrien, just don't touch him and you will be fine."

Adrien relaxed a little, untill Fu started speaking again:

"And now, lets move on to Marinette."
" What? That fast?"
" We need to hurry Adrien. Now, keep quiet."

And he kept his mouth shut.

" Now, under 'they' I meant... Marinette is pregnant."

It took a few minutes for Adrien to sink in, and when it finally did:
" OH MY GOOOD! Me? A dad? OH MY GOD IM SO HAPPY!" Adrien started jumping around the place like he was high.

" However..."
And in a flash, Adrien was sitting calmly again.

" Spotty Bane hit Marinette with a posion dart, right into her stomach."

" So, Spotty Bane..... Killed the baby?" Adrien asked, bawling up his fists."

"Not... Quite."
" What do you mean?" Adrien was curious.

" Spotty Bane's poison isn't a regular type of poison which kills by attacking your body. His poison is constited of two stages:
1. Fake death
2. The battle of contradiction
The death part is pretty obvious, but the second part should really concern you. That stage was specially designed for Miraculous holders. It makes the holder fight the kwami inside their mind, and the holder almost always wins, which makes them either turn into an animal or die. But, in Marinette's case, the poison affected the wrong bond."

" What do you mean?"

" What I mean is, Marinette detransformed a few seconds after the dart hit, which means the poison didn't have enough time to enter Tikki."

" Phew." Adrien was relieved, but not for long.

" However, the poison found a victim far more delicate then Marinette; her baby. And it of course, got poisoned."

" But wait... That means..." He paled.

" Yes. Marinette will have to fight... Her own child."
