Consequences of having a demigod son

Hades knew that having contact with his demigod son was going to bring unforeseen consequences, but he didn't think these would be them.

He had brought Nico, his precious son, to his Palace in the Underworld when escaped from that horrendous Camp where he was sent. He had made him a room almost next door to his, and let him decorate it however he wanted —Persephone told him it was really his son when the handle was changed to a miniature skull— and spent time with him at meals.

His relationship with his son did not deepen as much until the events of the First War - his son's first, he had witnessed thousands - For the first time he had felt afraid of never again seeing his child breathing and bothering all over the Underworld - he was still going to see him, but without breathing; ghosts are not the same.

Hades had agreed to help his brothers for the little kid. Looking back on those events now, he had no regrets.

Persephone had tried to get along with Nico when she realized that she was going to have to see him often whenever she was in the underworld, and after a particular fight that ended with a crown of flowers on the child's head, the two started getting along quite well.

And that was another reason why he joined the stupid fight to make his father sleep again.

Months later, when he had already gotten used to hearing Nico's complains almost every day, the world turned upside down -again- and his son had to leave.

Hades had never hated Percy Jackson more than he did in that moment.

The demigods of Camp Half-Blood had called his son in the middle of a particular morning of board games, sending him to look for the missing son of Poseidon. The Leech Bermuda must take care of his children himself.

From there, events turned from bad to worse.

Jason Grace, praetor of Rome, went missing; his little son fell into Tartarus through a trap and then was kidnapped by giants, Percy Jackson and a daughter of Athena fell into Tartarus too, - it was not important, but it happened - his boy had to carry a giant statue of The Brainiac to another continent almost killing himself and finally having to return to put Gea to sleep.

They should have killed Perseus Jackson when they could.

When things calmed down, and the threats were annihilated, was when he realized that his life was never going to be the same.

It began one afternoon - day and night were the same in the underworld, but it sounded beautiful - when a blonde boy knocked on the main door of his Palace.

The former praetor -who had not caused him any headaches until then- arrived at the door of the Palace of the God of Underworld asking about his son.

Nico had come to visit him for a few weeks, but apparently that was a lot for semi-mortals and they came to his 'rescue'. Being the good father that he was - the books he read said it was the best way to react - he let Roman pass, - not without first scaring him - and guided him to his son's room.

From there, the visits became regular.

First, it was the same guy over and over again

Is Nico at home?

So, that later, more of the walking sperm of the other Gods would knock on his door. A boy with chocolate curls and dwarf, a girl with a braid - he thought he had seen her with her son in some battle - a girl with feathers in her hair, and of course, the famous headache: Percy Jackson.

Can Nico go out and play?

That phrase was already engraved in his head every time he opened the damn door. He began to be afraid that those letters would appear on his forehead one of these days.

Hades had learned to tolerate some of Nico's little friends over time, especially the Roman blonde boy. He was quite polite and he knew what to say and what not to, especially he didn't make much noise when he stayed in the Palace.

The other Roman girl was also interesting. She didn't make much noise either, and knew how to talk about various wars and strategies.

Hades enhances a special fun when the spawn of Apollo set foot in the Underworld. The little boy was really nervous, and he jumped every time he appeared next to him or behind. His son seemed to have some kind of fixation with that blonde, since he always complained more when he scared him.

Over time, he realized that the relationship of Apollo's son with his son was different, and found a strange amusement in opening the door to his son's room suddenly and unexpectedly every time the spawn of Apollo was there.

The annoying brats - their son didn't count - had gained confidence with him like as if he weren't a God! Many times they no longer greeted him when they saw him, and passed by as if they had not seen him.

Where was the intimidating Aura he had?

Especially Percy Jackson. The human demon had begun to think of him as a kind of mortal with whom he could talk on a first-name basis. He often did not understand how Nico could be friends with that specimen.

Persephone had tried to calm him down, telling him that it was good that Nico was making more friends and that he feels confident enough to invite them to his house frequently - the damn kids invited themselves - The parenting books said that this was a good sign.

But once again, Persephone did not suffer as he did. She would take them to her garden to have picnics and they would talk respectfully with her about what they had done at Camp. She would smile at them and comb their hair as she filled the air with the scent of freshly bloomed flowers.

But they humiliated him!

The elf dwarf would bump his fists every time he saw him, Poseidon's torn condom would hit him on the shoulder while he called him 'uncle' and went directly to where his son and his friends were. Hades had once found those two in his kitchen eating his favorite food that was saved for him!

Things were becoming chaos in his life.
